Aziel slowly opened his eyes as his cultivation session was done. If he weren't completely alone in the room and that someone would have looked at him, he or she would be surprised to see that Aziel's eyes were shining like a pair of light bulbs. Slowly, with each passing second, the light in Aziel's eyes dimmed.
'Heh... This Primordial God Art is truly incredible! Even though this was the first time I had managed to complete a cycle, I have already reached well into the first sub-level of it! At this rate, I shouldn't have any problems breaking into the Sky realm!' Aziel exclaimed in his mind.
The fast rate of progress in this still quite unfamiliar environment had honestly surprised him. Although he was convinced that it had something to do with his past life's vast experiences, he wagered that the unique art had helped quite a bit too.
Finished with what he wanted to do during his first night, Aziel picked himself up and shook his body. The energy within his body released a series of popping sounds, somewhat similar to popping hot popcorns.
Closing his fist, Aziel could feel as his body was bursting with this vital energy, [Aether] was coursing in his veins.
'Ah this feeling… Incredible!' He sighed with delight, feeling the sensation that was lost to him for so long quite satisfying.
"I still have a long way to go." He sighed, quickly quelling the rising storm of excitement in his heart. Turning towards the window, it was just now that he noticed the sun was already on its ascent, shining just above the horizon.
Still, despite not resting at all, he felt refreshed, the exhaustion from yesterday have all but been relieved from his body.
Even still, he felt the dissatisfied grumbles of his growing hunger. He patted his belly and decided it was time to eat. With luck the rest of these mortals that provided shelter would have already prepared some tribute, he thought.
He remembered the words of the mature seductress lady, that succubus… Lydia advised him to take a look around town. Though she also offered that she should take the trio of the Indie Club with him, he wanted to explore the surroundings on his own.
Making up his mind with a new plan of action, he quickly left his room and went downstairs to quickly grab a few bites. As it was already quite early in the morning he didn't meet anybody besides the morning shift staff.
Once again, as he asked for some quick grub he looked at the many servants working for this family with a wondrous, contemplative gaze. He was reminded to his own servants, that through the hundreds of years of servitude have grown quite close to his heart.
'Heh… I'm still too weak.' He sighed at himself and shook his head to clear his mind.
Soon, a french toast was placed in front of him, together with some milk. The fresh, crunchy bread, the slice of ham together with the creamy melted cheese was a completely new experience for Aziel, he couldn't help but groan with delight after each bite, causing the female staff to blush as they heard him.
Many of the staff, have already taken a liking to the 'Handsome Silver Prince' that had come with the Madam last night. When they were told he would be joining the family from now on, the female staff blushed one after another.
Finishing with his small, modest but all the more delightful breakfast, Aziel left the mansion on foot. Without any obstruction, he soon found himself on the streets of Greytop City, once again be marveled by the seemingly endless stream of humans going by all shapes, sizes, and ages attending to their lively chores.
Children walking by groups with backpacks, going to what he recalled from his processed memories as 'Schools'. Man and women donning suits walked towards to grind several hours in a boring, grey cubicle or if they were slightly luckier, in an office, working for someone else's gain. Others walking to do their morning groceries, or just to go shopping…
Aziel couldn't help but be amazed by them. Despite knowing that their entire lives didn't matter at all in the grand scheme of things and that whatever they achieved would be but forgotten in just a couple of decades even by their descendants, they still didn't falter. They kept on pushing forward, without looking back. Without wondering if there was anything more to the meaning of their existence than that.
'How amusing…' He smiled, crossing through the streets without any real destination in mind.
After a while, Aziel found unknowingly walked into a park and found himself beneath the shade provided by a nearby willow tree overlooking a small artificial pond.
Feeling the cool, refreshing morning breeze coming from the pond, he let it comb through his hair, and caress his face. After spending so much time away from civilization, he felt the most comfortable in nature.
Time passed, as he spent most of the early morning doing seemingly nothing but enjoying the atmosphere. Though he looked as if he was lazing about, in actuality Aziel was still processing the many lifetimes of memory he had gained. He was merging the more than a dozen memories, correlating and comparing them to each other, trying to make sense of every clue, every detail.
Soon, however, the modest meal he had consumed showed the only negative trait it had: It was small, the energy it provided was quickly used up. He felt his hunger striking once again.
Deciding it was time to look for something, he stood up and started to walk around.
As soon as he was out of the shade of the willow tree, he saw three people walking toward him.
There was a woman in a white exercise suit walking beside an elderly man who wore an old dark brown business suit. His steps were supported by a cane. Trailing behind the two was a young man with a fit body and pair of sharp eyes.
The girl of the group pulled her hair in a ponytail; her beautiful face held a cold and distant expression. She had a pair of perky bosom and a tall body. She was as attractive no doubt, comparable to Myra or even Lydia if not even more beautiful thanks to her toned, well-defined features.
Aziel was still immersed in his own thoughts and therefore, he didn't think too much of this encounter. He passed the three strangers without even sparing them a glance.
However, three strangers had definitely noticed him.
The young man glued his eyes on Aziel and didn't look away until Aziel had disappeared at the end of the walking path. Then and only then, did he turn his head and look back at the old man walking in front of him, and whispered into his ears something.
The old man frowned and shook his head in disagreement. "No, you are mistaken. He is just a passerby, probably a morning jogger."
The event passed by, with Aziel didn't even bother about it in the slightest. He didn't pay any attention to them, he was so immersed in the memories that he wasn't even bothered sending them. If he did so, he might have been surprised by what he would have found…
…
After his morning walk, Aziel returned to the Martin Family Residence. Noticing that there was nobody was down in the dining room, he quickly scanned through the mansion, only to find that both girls have already left.
Being left alone, Aziel didn't mind it too much, he quickly returned to his room and resumed his nightly cultivation session. He still had to process a great deal of knowledge and get accustomed to this new and interesting world.
After all, what he needed the most if he wanted to embark on the step towards dominance was information.
Eyes closed, Aziel continued harnessing the [Aether] from the air for many hours. When he finally opened his eyes, it was already late evening.
Surprised, he sent out signals and found that the ladies have returned meanwhile and was currently downstairs enjoying dinner.
Deciding to join them, he spent some time talking with them, mostly defending the overly zealous assault of the mature woman, Lydia, who was even more eager and excited to be together with him.
From the strange, meaningful glimmers in his eyes, Aziel was getting mixed vibes... He felt that the looks she was giving were going beyond what was considered 'normal'.
He could hear the rapid, chaotic beats of her heart, she could almost feel the heat emanating from her...
Feeling strangely uncomfortable, Aziel decided to quickly finish up dinner and returned to his room to resume his nightly session and cultivate the 'Primordial God's Void Refinement Art' once again.
Soon, losing himself in the vast emptiness that the circulation of the art contained, he enjoyed the gradual accumulation of [Aether], feeling ever-so closer to reaching his limits...
However, before he could fully immerse himself, suddenly the handle on his room's door was pushed open, and a figure sneakily stepped in...
