Everyone in the entire auction venue was shocked by the sudden voice. Even if Aziel regarded money as though it was dirt and didn't think much about it, however, almost nobody amongst people in this era would recognize this deep purple mineral, the Void Stone. And it was unexpected that someone would be willing to bid such a high price for it.

With a displeased frown, Aziel followed the sound towards the source, gazing deeply at the box sitting at the opposite end of the hall. Releasing an invisible string of [Aether], it didn't too much effort to find the bidder guest.

He was an old man who wore a black traditional-looking tunic suit, with a full set of white hair, and an amiable benign face, giving off the impression of a philanthropist. However, facing the gaze of everyone's eyes, he revealed a proud expression. Especially when he shockingly turned towards Aziel's direction and smiled, making Aziel realize that he was aware of his scanning! The old man smile amicably as he tilted his chin up and showed a provocative look in his eyes toward Aziel as if she was fully aware that he could not only sense but even see him!

"Interesting…" Aziel smirked at the scene, as he raised his head towards the stage pressed on the button at his armchair, and placed his next bid.

"30 million."

"…."

The entire auction venue boiled as all eyes shifted back and forth between the two VIP booths of Aziel and the mysterious old man. And as such, as the saying goes in each abnormal event, there must be some kind of reasons and causes, and some people were even secretly thinking, was this piece of rare stone perhaps really a treasure?

However, guesses were just that: Simply guesses, and still, nobody dared to join the race and squander their wealth on a potential what-if scenario. The reason was pretty simple actually and even somewhat justified from their standpoint.

Even if this strange-looking chunk of stone, this unknown space rock was indeed precious, they simply had no knowledge about it at all. In the case they bought a worthless item, that meant that really were the biggest idiots of all.

Going further, after the first box's counter bid, there were no more reactions coming from the second box anymore! A minute passed by the tense silence as everyone eagerly awaited another shocking counter, which just never seemed to arrive.

The taunting smirk on Aziel's face gradually grew wider, as it transformed into a satisfied smile, gradually enriching his visage as it settled on his face. At the same time at the other booth, the mysterious old man's complexion turned unsightly as though he had just lost someone close to him! Like a widow who had been left with her dead husband and was forced to marry an old fart!

Aziel could see that the old man's lips wriggled a few times as he wanted to speak up and possibly call for a higher bid, which he eventually managed to rein and took his emotions in control once again.

Next to him, Lydia was actually as fighting an immensely hard internal battle to retain the calm on her face and do not showcase the increasing heartbeat and the chaotic tumultuous emotions from showing at the outside.

Not that any of that could have escaped Aziel's senses, even if he seemed to completely ignore them.

"Hmmm, I expected more…"

Aziel was surprised to see the old man suddenly give up. From his previous expression, he calculated that he would have to spend a large amount of money, but he didn't expect that the old man would suddenly stop right after his first counterattack.

Excitement flashed in the auctioneer's eyes as she spoke with an agitated and spirited expression, saying, "There is a saying that the eyes of the people are as bright as snow. For me, on the other hand, I would like to quote modern slang: 'Do not miss any chance that passes by!' If this small piece of cosmic mineral is not precious enough, then how could it be priced so highly in an auction?" She asked the question with a small, mischievous smile.

"I feel incredibly blessed by Lady Fortuna and happy because I was able to witness people who have such good taste and discerning eyes. Such strong mentality as though bright and burning torch for being able to recognize such a treasure!"

"The blessed gentleman in box number 1 has bid 30 million. Is there anyone present who wants to bid higher? If there is none, this piece of rare treasure will belong to our generous customer!"

The auction venue, which usually was full of shouts exclaiming bids and bits of rage and wealth turned into a complete silence following the auctioneer's conclusions. Everyone's eyes wandered between the two VIP boxes. The audience was curious, would the man in the second box call for a higher bid? Would he let this ore go to the first box after such a fierce display of wealth?

Some people even had been preparing to immediately snatch the bidding once the mysterious old man raised his bid again.

Just as the auctioneer had said: 'Do not miss the chance that passes by", the people were ready to jump on the bandwagon as soon as the battle shout, the counter bid was raised. In the case that if that chunk of stone was really a rare treasure, even if they were unable to recognize it for now, but they could slowly study it, so the might be crossed into a huge surprise.

However, they were bound to be disappointed, since the word for the 'battle' never came, the old man inside box number 2 remained silent, he did not raise his bid again.

This turn of events was also quite regretful for the auctioneer. Still, she was excited inside, she never once in her dreams dared to think that this piece of worthless-looking stone would shoot to such an astoundingly high price. As an auctioneer, she would get her own cut, a percentage commission for each item that was successfully sold at the venue. Since this item had now reached an incredible 30 million, it also meant that she got some nice, unexpected gains.

"30 million going once…"

"30 million going twice…"

"Then, I hereby announce that this precious ore is now sold to the dear customer over at VIP Box number 1! A servant will proceed over to complete the transaction shortly, or if you desire you could wait until the auction ends and go backstage."
