A wave of shock rippled through the crowd following the shocking exclaim. Everyone, even Aziel was surprised by the huge bid the mysterious old man in the second VIP box had responded with.

Sitting in the front row, the smile and proud expression on the fat middle-aged man's face froze in a flash. With difficulty, he turned his head and looked towards the closed-off box. The humiliation enticed anger and rage to overwhelm his rationale, he directly jumped up from his seat and loudly snapped in a stern voice. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! He must be doing this intentionally, to disturb the auction! I refuse to believe that person could put out 2.5 billion to buy this island!"

His words were what most people at the auction venue approved and agreed on as the talks then sounded again. After all, he had backed out from a bidding war before that ended up in a much lower price. How did that person suddenly gain access to such astounding amounts of money?

People began to whisper amongst each other, the chubby man's words resonated with the crowd heavily. Their jealousy made them approve and agree with his statements wholeheartedly.

"Huh? Just who does he think he is? Taking everyone for a fool, he has to be some young rich bastard! How could he possibly have 2.5 billion to buy that island? I bet he doesn't even know the consequences for doing such nasty play!"

"Yeah, Youngsters nowadays really have no discretion! Having no care for their family's hard-earned wealth, squandering it away like the wastrel he surely is!"

"Something must be wrong with that brat's mind! Before this, the fat man had already snatched the wild ginseng. Could it be that he harbors resentment and now intentionally increased the price? Hasn't he noticed that the fatty has reached his limit and cannot increase the price again?"

"Foolish guy, I really don't know what he is thinking!"

"What an idiot! Digging his own grave!"

Aziel was amused as he listened to the numerous whispers and comments coming to the man. The target of all the sneer and jealousy however did not react, even though Aziel was sure he heard everything that was being thrown out. He said nothing but remained silent after his offer has been placed.

The auctioneer, Tiana's heart was full of worry right now. She herself wasn't sure of the legitimacy of the offered claim. After all, she too has witnessed how he had to back out from the bids before, seemingly reaching his limit. Yet now, he suddenly offered a price several times higher than the final offers before.

Tiana was clear about one fact. If the old man in Box Number 2 obtained the rights to buy Heaven's Trove Island and then turned out to be unable to put up the money, then not just this event but the entire auction house's reputation would suffer greatly.

Not only would she be unable to get her percentage of the sold auctioned items, but it would also smear and make her reputation in the auction business plummet.

However, she was also perfectly aware of the fact that when the auction is being carried on, she had neither the rights nor the authority to inquire about the amount of money of VIP. They were usually either very prestigious, high profile people, that had deep connections, or were personal acquaintances of the owner.

What should she do now?

With a helpless expression, the auctioneer looked at the fat middle-aged man before his vision landed on the old man's box.

The fat middle-aged man glared at the VIP booth before he loudly shouted once again, his fist hitting the armrest of his chair.

"Miss Auctioneer, I highly suggest making that person first PROVE that he has the sufficient funds for such a purchase. Otherwise, not only will your auction house be thoroughly discredited, but you will also make all the auction's guests disappointed!"

The auctioneer looked deeply at the box for several seconds before she sighed and replied to the fat man with a helpless expression visible on her face.

"Sir, I apologize but I am not allowed to do that. Customers in the VIP boxes enjoy special rights."

"What are you-"

Before the chubby fat man could finish his retort, the lights lit up under Box 1 and the sneering modulated voice of its resident resounded in the room.

"I wonder, does the Purple Cloud Auction house have fallen so low that an average sore loser such as this disgusting fat pig can give orders to the staff? As far as I can see, he is not even a VIP, so I am wondering... From where does he dare to speak in such a manner?"

"Fucking bastard... COME DOWN IF YOU DARE!"

The fat middle-aged man was burning with fury as he angrily glared and roared at the speakers.

The auctioneer was growing more and more anxious and frightened by the rising chaos in the room. She quickly stepped forward and spoke to the fat businessman.

"Esteemed Sir, regardless of the other customer is able to buy the auctioned item or not, the bid had already been placed. Our auction house will do the transaction about the auctioned item with him. Let me humbly remind you, sir, that this matter is strictly between our auction house and the customer, a third party has no right to interfere. Please get back to your seat and we will continue the auction. I would like to ask you, do you want to increase the price?"

The fat middle-aged man's complexion flushed crimson. He was filled with anger, but there was nothing he could vent his anger too. Although he did have some background and strength, he didn't dare to go against this auction house. He could only choose to submit in humiliation and swallow his anger as he silently sat down.

Seeing this, the auctioneer finally felt relieved. Still, as she noticed how the fat middle-aged man no longer offered a counter offer to the current price, she felt slightly disappointed.

Nevertheless, she smiled and spoke to the audience.

"The current offer for Heaven's Trove Island is at 2.5 billion! Are there any other bids? If not, this slice of paradise will be sold to the esteemed customer at VIP Box Number 2!"

Silence reigned over the hall, no one spoke up in response to her call.

Their eyes darted between the fat middle-aged man, and the customer in VIP Box 2, wanting to see the result of their fierce (and heated) battle.

"Heaven's Trove Island goes for 2.5 million to the customer in VIP Box Number 2 once..."

"Twice..."

"...And, sold!"

She exclaimed, announcing further.

"Then, I hereby announce that the right of ownership for Heaven's Trove Island is now sold to the last bidder, the generous customer in VIP Box Number 2! Due to the price, let me ask the customer to please follow the staff member to the backstage to continue with the transaction formalities." The auctioneer spoke as she donned a polite smile and an anticipating expression. After all, if he could indeed complete the transaction the hefty bonus she would receive would be just as astounding!

Still, in his own box, Aziel followed as the life signal in the other box slowly stood up and followed another, much weaker signal out then along the hallway, towards a staircase at the back.

As their signals lowly faded, only then did his vision return to the people in his box again.

"Come, the event has ended, we have already got what we bought, let's go dear. It's already quite late, I'm sure Myra is worried!" Lydia said, smiling as she place her hand over Aziel's tighs. From the sparks and her heated expression, it didn't take much deductive prowess to understand what she really meant behind her call.

As the crowd slowly dispersed, Aziel's group also left the building. Saying their goodbyes the two were about to enter the vehicle when Aziel suddenly turned his gaze back to the entrance.

He cruel, sinister-looking smirk appeared on his face, as he turned away from the vehicle.

"Go alone, I still have some business to attend to. I will find my way back, don't worry." He said.

Before Lydia could even respond, Aziel's figure suddenly burred and then vanished from her sight!
