Chapter 136: Chapter 32: Changing Fate

One day Chiron was walking before a camper had told him that the Oracle needed him. Chiron, sensing the urgency in the campers voice, started to run quickly to the oracles cabin. Chiron then saw the Oracle on the ground gasping heavily. “What happened?!” Chiron asked, worried for his friend. “It is about Thalia,” she explained.

She then tells him about the great prophecy about Olympus falling and it being done by a child of the big three when they become 16 years old. Chiron then realized why she said it involved Thalia. Though he was conflicted on what to do as she was innocent. Chiron then decided to ask a good friend of his, Dionysus.

Chiron quickly makes it to the staff cabin to see Dionysus already sitting at a table looking at him with a serious face. “I already know what you are going to ask,” he said to Chiron. “Then what are you going to do?” Chiron asked. “Well this wasn’t supposed to happen as Zeus himself made a ban on the big three having children,” Dionysus kept blabbering. “WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?!” Chiron said menacingly. This took Dionysus by complete surprise as Chiron never got mad. “We will kill here right before she becomes 16,” Dionysus said ruthlessly. Chiron could only frown heavily as he wanted to protect Thalia but did not have the strength to protect her from the gods. Though they did not realize that a pair of wolf ears was eavesdropping on them.

 

- Three minutes before Chiron Talks to Dionysus

 

Rin was just taking a nap in the forest since every girl kept chasing him all over the camp and no one could find him in the forest. Though he soon felt his sense on high alert, even though he did not know why. He soon focused on his senses and realized they were signaling for him to go to the staff cabin. Rin quickly rushed over and saw Chiron with a worried look on his face as he went inside. Rin quickly walked to the front door and was about to knock before his ears heard what they were speaking about. He could sense the worry for Thalia in Chiron’s voice and how frustrated he was when he heard they were going to kill her since he was not strong enough to defy them. Though that did not matter to him. As he just heard that the gods were going to kill his lover.

It was taking everything he had in him not to kill the gods as he does not want to destroy peace just yet. ‘Though when all of this is over, I will kill you myself Zeus, Dionysus, and Ares,’ Rin thought to himself. He then asked Alice to buy a certain poison known in wuxia novels and teleported it into the drink of Dionysus. ‘You won’t be having any children anytime soon’ Rin thought sinisterly as Dionysus drank from his diet coke.

Rin then walked back to where the cabins were. He then walked towards Cabin 1 (Zeus). Rin then knocks on the door only to hear a groan come from the inside. “Coming,” A familiar voice said. The door soon opened to show Thalia with sleepy eyes, and messed up hair. She then realizes who was at the door and quickly closes it. After a few seconds she opened the door again but this time her hair was fixed, her eyes were excited, and her face had a red tint to it. “Good morning,” She said cheerfully. Rin then patted her hair, messing it up on purpose. “I don’t care if you are the dirtiest girl alive, I will still love you with all my heart,” Rin said caringly as he lightly kissed her on the lips. Thalia could only feel her heart heat up at his loving words and actions. She pulled him inside and cuddled with him for at least 10 minutes. Rin was just enjoying the cute faces she would make while cuddling with him.

Though when it finished Rin had a serious face on. “I have something important to tell you,” he said seriously. Thalia seeing his serious face understood it was something very important. “This has to do something about your fate,” Rin tells her. He then tells her how the prophecy and how she will be killed by the gods right when she is about to become of age.

Thalia at first was shaken badly about how her own father would kill her. Though she quickly forgot about him as all she needed was the love from Rin. “I am okay with it since it would mean I can at least protect you for once, though I would have loved to have seen our future kids grow up,” she said with a smile through tears rolling down her cheeks. Rin pulled her into his arms. “Don’t worry I won’t allow such a thing to happen,” He said as if no one could refute him.

He then thought of something and checked the surrounding area to see if anyone was around. When he sensed no one around, he quickly opened a portal to Ohane. He pulled Thalia inside. They both then appeared on top of a mountain. He then called for Alice who quickly appeared in front of him. “I want to buy a Fate Changer,” Rin told her. “But the conse-” Alice was trying to say something before being interrupted by Rin. “I don’t care, buy it anyways,” Rin said. Alice could only reluctantly buy it and hand over a golden hand with a watch in its palm. Rin then grabbed the watch. “This is a fate changer, and it will allow me to change your fate so you do not have to suffer such a fate,” Rin said, omitting the consequences. Thalia, feeling that Rin was holding some information back, looked him in the eyes. “This won’t hurt you in any way right?” she asked him. Rin just nodded. Thalia trusting him just closed her eyes. Rin then made a needle of mana and pricked one of Thalia’s fingers with it. He then let the blood flow into the watch. The watch turned black with a blue lightning symbol on it.

Rin then started to let his mana flow into the watch and started to see the whole fate of Thalia if he had never intervened. Though when he reached the time where she would have been killed, he used his mana to rip it out and place it inside of him. He had successfully changed her fate but made her fate his. So he would be forced to be a part of the great prophecy one way or another (You can’t just delete fate, but change who or what it is affecting). Though those weren’t all of the consequences of the fate changer.

Thalia opened her eyes and she felt as if a weight had been lifted off her chest. Though she soon turned worried as she saw Rin on one knee. “Are you okay!?” she said quickly running to him. “Yeah I am fine, it was just taxating on my body,” Rin lied. Thalia just nodded and hugged him tightly. They stayed there like that until they had to go back before people started to question where they were.

 

- Later that night

 

Rin sitting on his bed could only sigh as he would have to suffer the second half of the consequences caused by the fate changer. He then looked at Alice who was sitting on a chair keeping an eye on him. “How bad would you say these nightmares are?” Rin asked her jokingly. “Don’t joke about this, you will be going through all the pain, suffering, and anger you ever had, which is enough to make anyone suicidal!!” She said both angry and worried. Rin just smiled and patted her head. “Well time for me to go to sleep,” Rin said, closing his eyes.

Rin opened his eyes but this time he was on a white road, everything else around him was pitch black. He then started to walk only to see screens pop up in the black void. He looked at them and his eyes widened.

They were showing his past lives of how he lived with family, friends, lovers, and children. Rin had a small smile but it all soon disappeared as he saw something else on the screens. He would see how his family, friends, lovers, and children would die, be murdered, killed by a drive by, killed in a school shooting, burned alive in a house fire, and even suicide. Rin could only look at them with sorrow in his eyes but did nothing much as he has become numb to pain and suffering as he has gone through it for millions of years.

He would just keep on walking and watching all of the screens, never looking away. After walking for what seemed like years, he finally reached the end. He then saw everyone of his lovers standing there looking at him with caring eyes which they easily numbered a million. Rin could only look at them with regret. “I am sorry for putting all of you through such pain and suffering when it was only supposed to be me suffering,” Rin said to them. They all just smiled at him. “We would go through the pits of hell for you, we loved every single second of being with you though it was sad that we were not able to enjoy it longer,” They all said at the same time. Though they all smiled brightly at him. “We all are able to reincarnate with our memories and hopefully we would be able to meet you again and be together forever,” They all said with tears of joy in their eyes. Rin could not help but smile at such words. He then turned serious and looked at each and every one of them. “I will find all of you and make all of you mine once again,” He vowed. They all just smiled as they started to fade away. Rin then woke up only to see Alice sleeping on the bed next to him. Rin just smiled and patted her head. Alice soon woke up and saw Rin with pure white hair and crystal blue eyes. Though most importantly was the smile and tears rolling down his cheeks.
