Chapter 160: Chapter 56: Arm Wrestling A God

They had made it to Denver and soon got off the train. Rin tells everyone to wait at the train station for a minute. He soon drives up with the same Lamborghini that they drove in earlier. Everyone was surprised by how it was there and asked how it was here but Rin did not answer their questions.

Rin sees a diner and drives to it so that everyone can eat breakfast. Everyone soon gets out of the car with grumbling stomachs. Rin leads everyone to a window booth.

The waitress soon comes over and sees the huge group. “This is quite a group, are you all traveling or something?” she asked. “Yes we are,” Rin said smiling. The waitress froze for a bit but soon recovered. “What would you like to order?” she asked them. Rin then proceeded to bring out 5,000$ and gave them to the waitress. “We would like everything on the menu, and you can keep the rest of the money as your tip,” Rin said.

The waitress quickly goes to tell her boss because of how big this could be for her. She soon comes back with the manager and he tells them that their food will be there as quickly as possible. 

Everyone was eating as much as they could and surprisingly the food was really good. Though everyone had to cover their ears a bit as they heard a very loud motorcycle just park outside. The door soon opened to show a biker wearing a black and red leather jacket, black pants, some black rimmed sunglasses with a red tint, and a red skull helmet.

Everything about this man said Fight, blood, and kill. This man looks around the diner, spots Rin and his group, walks over to their booth and pulls a chair and sits right at their table. 

Rin just looks at him calmly. “So what does the god of war have to do with us?” Rin said out of nowhere. Everyone was stunned by his sudden words. Even Ares himself was slightly shocked but he quickly recovered. “You figured that out real quick huh, brat,” Ares said without trying to hide who he was.

Everyone except Percy were calming down, but Percy seemed to be getting angrier. “Turn off your aura,” Rin said to Ares. Ares was once again surprised that Rin could see what was happening. Ares turned off his aura and Percy soon felt all calm again.

“Well you are a special one aren’t you, well anyways I came here to give you all a small sidequest,” Ares said. “I left my shield in an amusement park while on a date with my gal, and I would want you all to go and get it,” Ares told them the details.

“Why would we do this, we are already on a quest,” Percy stated. Ares just looked at him with a deadeye. “We will do it,” Rin said all of a sudden. Percy looked at him with a mad face but calmed down seeing how Rin was smiling evilly. “Good to see you have a smart person here,” Ares said.

Just as he was about to get up and leave Rin spoke up. “Ares I would like to have an arm wrestling match,” Rin challenged. Ares looked at him as if he was a new weapon. Thalia and Annabeth believed full heartedly that Rin would win. Luke was already starting to hype Rin up. Charlotte was just shaking her head at both of the boys' antics. Percy was wondering if Rin could win or not. Grover had already passed out such absurd actions.

“Sure,” Ares said before snapping his fingers. A small table with pads on each end was ready. He walks to the side of the table and puts his elbow on the edge. Rin doesn’t back down and just walks up to the opposite side, putting his elbow on the table. They then grab each other's hands and wait for someone to count them down. Luke walks up and puts his hands over theirs. “1, 2, 3, Wrestle!” Luke yelled before pulling his hands back. 

Rin and Ares started to push against each other. Their hands did not move at all. Ares was soon surprised to see that a mere demigod was able to have a stalemate with him even though he was just using 10% of his strength. Though he was truly shocked when Rin started to slowly push his hand back.

Ares quickly ramped up to 30% of his strength and he was able to push back Rin to the middle before reaching a stalemate once again. Though this stalemate did not last as Rin started to push back once again.

Everyone else was cheering for Rin as he was beating a god. Thalia, Annabehth and Charlotte were all cheering, Luke was right next to Rin hyping him up like crazy, and Percy was just left wondering who Rin really was to be able to put up a fight against a god.

Ares seeing he was losing to Rin amped up his strength up to 50% and was pushing back Rin. At this point the table and floor was starting to crack from their strength. Rin started to use his mana to fix the table and floor. Ares had mistaken that as Rin flaring his magic energy at him and activated his divine power. Rin, seeing Ares’s divine power activated, also started to use his mana.

A blood red skeleton with a rifle in its hands soon started to form right behind Ares. A half black and white wolf with the moon to its right side and a sun to its left started to form behind Rin. The wolf bared its fangs at the skeleton which made it take a step back. Rin was able to start pushing Ares back once again.

Ares now worried from losing to a mere mortal quickly used up to 80% of his strength. He then started to push back Rin. Rin, instead of worrying, actually smiled.

Rin lets Ares push him back all of a sudden and Right before he lost he pushed back hard, flipping the tables completely and pushing Ares’s hand on to the pad signaling his loss.

“And the winner is Rin Fang!!!!” Luke yells cheerfully. Rin then lets go and stands up only to be hugged by both Thalia and Annabeth. Ares on the other hand was still frozen on the table looking at his hand on the mat.

Soon a boisterous laugh came out of his mouth. “Rin Fang was it?” Ares asked. “I can’t wait for you to finish your quest and have a duel with me,” Ares said with his blood pumping heavily. He then leaves on his bike and soon disappears in a red flash.

The waitress came over and asked if they were okay. They all nodded and said it was just a random biker gambling some money over an arm wrestling contest. The waitress just sighs in relief. The group then got up and left.

When everyone was inside the car, they all took a nap the whole ride as they were tired and full.
