"Morning,"

"Morning, Sasuke," Naruto and Sakura greeted back, seeing Sasuke walk to them.

"How did you guys sleep?" He asked them.

"I slept alright, though I did stress a little knowing that this is our first mission," Sakura said, holding her hands together.

"I feel great!" Naruto exclaimed, smiling, "I was

so excited that I ended up falling asleep, and now I am even more excited,"

"Only you, Naruto," Sakura said, "How did you sleep, Sasuke?"

"I slept good as well," Sasuke said, "I was also...  thinking about the mission,"

"Speaking of which," Naruto said, scratching his head, "What is this mission?"

"I... don't actually know," Sakura replied, confused.

'Oh right,' Sasuke thought, 'There were missions before the wave arc. This must be one of them,'

"Whatever it is Naruto," Sakura spoke, "We must first wait for Kakashi-Sensei,"

So they did.

After waiting for quite a long time, Kakashi finally arrived.

"Morning," He said with a happy tone.

"You're late!" Both Sakura and Naruto shouted.

"Sorry, I had to buy another book," Kakashi said, "These things are quick to read, you know?"

"You went to go buy a book, knowing that we were here?" Sakura asked.

"Yes," Kakashi answered, getting shocked faces from both of them, "but now that I am here, let us get on with the mission,"

"Is our mission taking out a few bad guys?" Naruto asked, getting excited.

"No," Kakashi replied, "It's..."

"Going undercover?" Naruto inquired.

"Taking care of a garden," Kakashi answered, getting a confused look from Naruto.

"Going undercover in a garden?" He asked.

"No, we must take care of a garden," Kakashi corrected, "If we went under it, that loses the point of the mission,"

"So we just have to take care of a garden?" Sakura asked,

"Yeah, the resident who requested this brought up that they can't do it today, so that leaves us to do it," Kakashi explained.

"This could be fun," Sasuke said.

"Sounds really boring," Naruto muttered folding his arms and showing a face of disgust.

"Not all missions involve fighting, Naruto," Kakashi said, starting to walk, "Come on, let's get to the house,"

The place that they went to was pretty far, being on the outskirts of the village, although the house that they stopped at looked the same as the other houses.

However, the garden at the back that was visible from the front really could have been identified as a swamp.

"Here is the place," Kakashi said as they walked to the back of the house, "the owner is out for the day, but that means we must finish before he gets here,"

"What are we supposed to do?" Sakura asked, staring at the garden.

"There was not a clear description of what was asked for," Kakashi answered, "but we just need to water the plants and cut the weeds,"

"If that's it, then let's get started," Naruto said, grabbing a watering can in front of him, "Come on guys, where should we start?"

"You have a long way to go," Kakashi said, pulling out a book, "but you guys can start,"

"Alright," Sasuke said, picking up one watering can for himself, and giving the other one to Sakura.

"Thanks, Sasuke," Sakura said, looking down, but watching him walk to an already busy Naruto, "hey, wait for me!"

Watering the flowers and the ground around them was an easy task for the three, but after a while, there was still more to go.

"Come on, keep it up guys," Naruto urged, cutting a weed, "then we can finish this quickly,"

"This garden is huge, I doubt we would finish it soon," Sakura said, pouring water over a flower.

"I am not going to rush, I am enjoying this," Sasuke said, looking at them.

"How can you enjoy this?" Naruto asked, pointing to, well, a part of the garden.

"It's peaceful," Sasuke replied, "It's a nice break from all the training,"

'And a nice way to clear my mind,' Sasuke thought.

"This is not peaceful for me," Naruto said, cutting another weed, "I just want to put my head into a bowl of ramen,"

"Sorry, but I have to agree with Naruto," Sakura said, "this garden may be nice, but I prefer my own garden,"

"Huh," Sasuke said, hearing the splatter of water hit the dirt.

'After this, I should train all day,' Sasuke thought, 'even a little bit of training can mean a big difference from getting myself killed,'

What seemed like a few hours later, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were finally done with the garden.

"That should be all," Sakura said, rubbing her forehead, "I'm going to take a break, are you guys coming?"

"We will be with you in a minute," Sasuke answered, "we just need to cut these last weeds out,"

"Yeah!" Naruto said, struggling to cut a weed.

As Sakura walked away, Sasuke looked at Naruto having difficulties.

"Is the stem that hard to cut?" He asked.

"What do you think?" Naruto said, "Hold on I think got it,"

With a heavy breath, Naruto's face warped as he placed all his strength into cutting this small piece of plant.

Then, he screamed.

"Yes!" He shouted, happy with himself, "I finally got it off,"

He looked back at Sasuke, whose face was trying not to turn into a monstrous laugh.

"What's so funny?" Naruto demanded.

"The plant you are holding in your hand," Sasuke said, looking away, "Your worse nemesis,"

At that, Naruto looked at his hand and found a small plant in it, the one he cut out.

Staring back at Sasuke, Naruto began to laugh.

"So this was the thing that was so stubborn," He laughed, "at least I triumphed over it,"

"True," Sasuke said, calming down, "Let's get back to Kakashi-Sensei,"

Naruto nodded, and the two began to walk back.

"Sasuke," Naruto said, "Are you training?"

"Yeah," Sasuke replied, "why do you ask?"

"Cause I really want to spar with you," Naruto said, folding his arms, "Can we do it later?"

"Sorry, Naruto, I am busy," Sasuke answered, shaking his head.

"You are always busy," Naruto said, "What? Are you scared that I will beat you?"

"Yep, that's why I am training a lot," Sasuke answered.

"Then I'll keep on training until I can surpass you," Naruto said, raising a fist in the air, "Believe it!"

Sasuke let out a laugh, "I will,"

"Know what? Let us make a promise," Naruto said.

"What kind of promise?" Sasuke asked, raising an eyebrow.

"While we are on missions, let's protect one another so that we can spar later on," Naruto answered.

He raised a clenched fist towards Sasuke, "How does that sound?"

Sasuke responded by fist bumping Naruto's fist, "Sounds like a promise,"

With the promise made, they reached Kakashi and Sakura who were now at the front of the house.

There was someone who was talking to Kakashi, most likely the owner.

The guy looked about middle-aged, though his grey hair and dried face added a few more years to his appearance.

After talking to him, the guy gave Kakashi something, before walking back into his house, waving goodbye.

"Nice work, you guys," Kakashi said, as Naruto and Sasuke walked up to them, "your first mission is complete,"

"Aw yeah," Naruto exclaimed, "Now I can go eat some ramen,"

"It was hard work, but we got it done," Sakura said, smiling.

"Here is your share of the payment," Kakashi said, giving money to them, "this was the only mission for today, so you guys can take the rest of the day off, and we'll continue tomorrow,"

So they went their different ways, after giving their goodbyes.

Of course, with his fast walk, Sasuke reached the Estate once again in record time.

"Finally home," He said, "that mission was nice, but I really wanted to get home,"

Then something clicked within his head.

"Oh, damn," Sasuke said, snapping his fingers, and failing because he can't, "I forget about the noodles,"

"Though, there is still stock in the fridge, so that's fine," He said, shrugging, "Now, time for some long-awaited training,"

He felt an energy boost upon saying that and headed to the training area.

"Let me try something new," He said, putting his hands into a hand sign and concentrating.

Like that, a shadow clone appeared in front of him.

Sasuke took out a kunai from his pouch, "Right, you know what to do,"

Hearing that, the clone took out a shuriken in each hand.

'Let's see how long I can hold it for,' Sasuke thought.

The clone moved an arm back and flung it forward sending the shuriken towards Sasuke.

Sasuke, in turn, felt his eyes turn, and successfully blocked the projectile, watching it fly to the ground in a different direction.

"At least I can deflect," Sasuke said to his clone, "better keep them coming,"

"Oh I sure will," The clone said, "The way your eyes turned into the Sharingan with the deflect after, that shit was legit,"

"Huh," Sasuke said, "That's the first time I heard Sasuke swear,"

"Sorry," The clone said, "I will just keep on throwing,"

And he did, the next few shurikens cut through the air, ending with a deflect from Sasuke once they reached him.

The shadow clone had a pattern thought up as it threw each one, but it began to throw a little faster each time.

Sasuke could tell that every object was being thrown faster, but he was able to keep up with it.

It even came to the point where Sasuke literally could not blink because if he did, he may get injured, but he did not mind, as the adrenaline was still pumping within his veins.

'I almost can't think at this point,' He thought, deflecting a shuriken, which nearly grazed him by a few inches, 'but I need to get used to this to succeed,'

The shadow clone must have thought the same thing and thrown a group of shuriken at once.

Sasuke reacted to this with the unravelling of a scroll and the unsealing of a sword.

Luckily, the trusty sword appeared vertically just in time to have the projectiles smack against it, and fall to the floor. The sword fell as well.

"That was insane," Sasuke said, picking the sword up and grunting, "but I need to train with that more,"

The clone nodded while Sasuke placed the sword down with a huff on the scroll and placed his hands together.

Soon, the sword was sealed once again.

"I want to try something else, though," He said taking out a kunai.

He turned to his right and threw it forward to no particular target. With a pull from his hand, the kunai returned to his palm.

"Now let's see," Sasuke said, throwing the kunai again.

However, this time he focused his chakra on the thread as he did when he first tried it out and decided to pull.

There was no surprise when Sasuke was pulled forward. He landed on his hands and stood up again.

"Heh," He chuckled, looking back to the clone, "Now throw a shuriken at me,"

The shadow clone did as it was told, and when Sasuke saw the weapon fly towards him, he threw the kunai.

Before it touched the ground, Sasuke was already focused, and just as the shuriken was inches away from his face, he pulled on the thread.

This action caused the same thing to happen and caused the shuriken to get no hits.

'A nice way to move around,' Sasuke thought, looking at the kunai in his hand, 'now my left side,'

He took out a kunai in his left hand, and the clone threw another, but the same thing happened, with Sasuke dodging it with the kunai.

After a few times, Sasuke caught laughter coming from the clone.

"Sorry," It said, still laughing, "but you remind me of that character,"

Looking at the way he was, Sasuke realised he was in a crouching pose if you could call it that.

"Hold on, remind me who again?" He asked, trying to think.

"I'll give you a hint," It said, "He is an emissary from hell..."

"Supaiderman!" Sasuke shouted, laughing after, "Wow, when was the last time I heard that?"

"When you were..." The clone trailed off, "Never mind,"

"When I was back on Earth," Sasuke sighed, "Oh well, those memories will always come back to me, no matter what,"

"Okay," The clone said, feeling awkward, "Must I keep on throwing?"

Sasuke shook his head, "No, you have done enough,"

The clone nodded and disappeared.

Bringing out the scroll again, Sasuke rolled it out and brought his hands together.

'Sealing Jutsu: Release!' He thought, watching the sword appear once more.

"Time to swing this thing," He said, picking it up, feeling the weight pressing down on him.

Breathing in, he brought the sword to his right side, his right arm in front and his right foot at the back.

"Rah!" Sasuke shouted, swinging it forward and bringing his right foot with it.

"I will not be a mad lad and swing the sword from the left side with my right hand above my left," Sasuke said to himself, bringing the sword to his left, "I want my arms to be balanced,"

Another breath, another swing.

"Why do I..."  He began, bringing the sword above his head.

"...Feel so angry?" This brought with the slam of the sword really made him question himself.

"That question is obvious," He brought the sword to his right, "It has to be my pent-up aggression,"

The sword swung again, "Whenever I swing this thing, it just feels like something is being done right in the world,"

"Actually," Sasuke corrected himself, bringing the sword to his left, "Whenever I swing this, it feels like I am doing something right that involves myself,"

'Speaking of which,' He thought, swinging the sword, 'Everything does feel alright whenever I am training,'

"Thoughts of home vanish like the snow upon seeing spring," Sasuke shook his head, "Wait, why did I say that? I must stop speaking so weirdly,"

"Perhaps I train not only because it is a necessity to my life in this world," He continued, resting the weapon on his right shoulder.

"but because it's therapy for my situation, as well as my frustration in general," Sasuke finished, looking to the sky.

"How long have I been here?" The next question ran into his head like a wounded deer being chased by a wolf, "Wonder if I am missing or dead in that world?"

"I hope my family is strong, especially my parents and siblings," Sasuke said, bearing a grim expression, "Losing a child or a brother must be painful,"

His gaze went up to the sky, "Wonder what movies or anime I am missing,"

"Or even music," Sasuke cringed at this, "I wish I could listen to a few songs on my phone, damn,"

Without thinking, he slammed his fist into the ground.

"I must keep reminding myself that I am in Naruto," He said, looking at his undamaged hand, "my hand would have been broken, but it's not,"

'Oh my, there I go reflecting again,' Sasuke thought, facepalming, 'though, it helps out, considering that I can't talk to someone about it,'

"Imagine if I told someone," He said, "They would probably laugh their heads off or call me a liar, my money is on them laughing at me though,"

At that, Sasuke placed a hand on his head.

"Damn it, am I going insane?" Sasuke asked himself, "If I am, I need to keep my sanity, but I don't think I can hold this information with me forever,"

"As much as I hate it," He continued, "I need to tell someone, eventually,"

He shook his head, trying to calm down.

"I think that is enough training for today," He said, laying out the scroll and placing the sword on it, "A bowl of noodles should do the trick,"

Sealing the sword, Sasuke walked into his home and placed the scroll on the kitchen counter and went to make himself some noodles.

After getting the bowl and a packet from the fridge, it was not long until the bowl of noodles was ready.

Using a cloth, he placed the bowl on the counter and sniffed it, feeling the warm heat on his face.

Sasuke sighed, "I was right, this is calming me down,"

After staring at it, he began to eat.

'Now that I think about it,' Sasuke thought, putting a mouthful of noodles into his maw, 'I won't be able to see the end to everything, except Naruto of course,'

Soon, he finished the meal and felt his mind begin to reflect.

"I think I should go lay down," He said, walking to his bedroom, "even if it's still light outside,"

Just like that, Sasuke entered the room and sat down on his bed.

He laid on his back, with his eyes glued to the ceiling, but his mind was somewhere else.

'My brain is like a Nascar race,' Sasuke thought, placing a hand on his forehead, 'It's going at 200 miles an hour, yet going around in circles,'

'I will calm down eventually,' He thought, 'just need to relax and it will be over soon,'

Even with those encouraging words, Sasuke still had a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

He knew that this was going to be a long day.
