Alice was given a fright. She clearly remembered that she hadn't seen Heris during her run to the castle, so she never expected Heris to appear inside the castle ahead of her. Moreover, the demoness was even standing in front of the black crystal.

Subconsciously, Alice stuffed the black panties in her hand back into her pouch. After all, she and Heris could already be considered acquaintances by now. It would hurt her image if the other party caught her holding onto a pair of panties. Although the black mist gave off an oppressive feeling, the mist was also a little translucent. Hence, if Heris had good eyesight, it was still possible for her to see Alice holding onto a pair of panties in her hand.

"You're finally here, Alice."

Heris, who stood with her back facing Alice, turned around, a subtle smile appearing on her face as her eyes locked onto Alice. Then, she focused her gaze on Alice's right hand. Although Alice had already returned the black panties into the pouch, the black mist had yet to dissipate completely; there were still some traces of it stuck to Alice's hand. "Is that your Demon King's Power? It is indeed outside of my expectations that you would be the Demon King."

"Why are you here?" Alice frowned, her instincts telling her that something was amiss. Because of this feeling, she didn't completely retract her hand from the pouch. Instead, she left it hanging by the pouch's mouth so that she could retrieve the panties inside at any time. "Didn't you say you wouldn't be coming with me?"

"I suddenly thought of something, so I decided to follow you," Heris said, her voice sounding so calm that it unnerved Alice. After all, while they were in the car, Heris had continuously harassed her like a hoodlum. Yet, now, she was behaving so properly. This contrast in behavior caused Alice to feel uneasy. Then, Heris continued, "Speaking of which, since you are the new Demon King, Alice, have you heard about the previous generation's Demon King?"

"No. I looked it up on the internet, but there isn't much information on the previous generation's Demon King and Hero," Alice said, shaking her head. Alice hadn't just been enduring Heris's harassment during the drive here. She also did some research on the demon realm during this period. Naturally, she had searched for information on past Demon Kings as well.

Unfortunately, information related to Demon Kings was surprisingly scarce, and even the information on the most recent few Demon Kings could only be treated as legends and not facts. Hence, apart from knowing that the demon realm had seen the birth of over a dozen Demon Kings thus far, Alice didn't manage to find any particularly useful information.

"That's right. Then, do you know why information on Demon Kings is so scarce?" Heris asked with a smile. Then, without waiting for Alice to answer, the demoness continued, "That's because the candidates the Demon King's Power chooses will always be an individual bearing hatred towards humans. These selected candidates would've experienced a life full of difficulties before they were selected. Hence, even after becoming the Demon King, these people will not open their hearts to the demons. More often than not, Demon Kings would only treat the demon race as a tool.

"Also, why, out of more than a dozen generations of Demon Kings, did only the Third Demon King ever succeed in occupying the human realm? That is because only the Third Demon King was the only Demon King to have ever successfully befriended the Four Heavenly Kings and united the demon race."

Her smile widening, Heris continued, "The pitiful demons must've never expected that the Demon Kings, whom they have placed all their hopes on to help them occupy the human realm and better their lives, didn't care about their wishes at all. Instead, they only ever wanted to gain overwhelming power and enjoy a life of luxury."

"How do you know all these things?" Alice gradually reached into her pouch when she saw Heris's smile, ready to take out a pair of panties and launch an attack at any time. "There is no way these things are recorded on the internet, right?"

"Indeed. In that case, let me reintroduce myself first," Heris said, chuckling. Then, she slowly raised a hand and continued, "I am Heris Aregas, a member of the Fear Kingdom's royal family and the daughter of the Heavenly King of Fire Flaman. You should understand after hearing this, right?"

As soon as Heris finished speaking, a silver streak of light suddenly shot out of her, instantly crossed the distance between her and Alice, and cut the string that tied Alice's pouch. The resulting impact of the silver light had also sent the pouch flying far away, causing Alice to lose the opportunity to grab a pair of panties.

"Did you think I wouldn't notice you reaching for that pouch?" Heris asked with a scornful smile on her face. "That pouch should be holding something that lets you temporarily summon your Demon King's Power, right? That explains a lot. After all, you should've only become the new Demon King recently; there's no way you managed to control the Demon King's Power so quickly. You must've found a tool that lets you temporarily wield the Demon King's Power. In other words, so long as I get rid of that item in your pouch, you wouldn't be able to put up any resistance."

Alice frowned. Then, she turned around to look at the pouch and let out a silent sigh of relief. Fortunately, the pouch's contents didn't spill out when Heris sent the pouch flying, so she wouldn't have to worry about the demoness seeing the embarrassing things inside just yet.

"You must've used those magic stones I gave you when you came in, right?" Looking at Alice, Heris slowly said, "How pitiful of you to trust me so easily. I planted a hidden mechanism in those magic stones. So long as you used those magic stones, that hidden mechanism will plant a mana seed within you."

After saying so, Heris raised her hand again before continuing, "I can sense that you've used up all of those magic stones already. In other words, the effects of these mana seeds will be compounded on your body! Now..."

Letting her words trail off for a moment, Heris swung down her hand and passionately commanded, "Let me see you crawl under this power!"

Alice suddenly felt her body growing heavier. She felt as if someone had placed a few heavy objects on her body, causing her movements to become incredibly sluggish. Immediately, Alice understood that the mana seeds Heris mentioned functioned to increase the gravity acting on her body.

However, before Alice could analyze the situation any further, the rope tying the Milu Rabbit to her waist suddenly snapped, and the Milu Rabbit fell to the floor like a heavy dumbbell. There was even a loud thud when the rabbit's body hit the hard ground.

"..."

"..."

The scene suddenly turned awkward. Heris couldn't help but be stunned when she looked at the Milu Rabbit held down by her gravity magic. She never expected Alice to use nearly all of the magic stones she provided on the Milu Rabbit.
