Early the next day, Alice woke up to two legs and one arm spread across her body. These limbs did not belong to her but to the two nerdy female students sleeping next to her instead.

The information she acquired through eavesdropping on the two girls’ conversation was accurate. The two other occupants of this dormitory did not return last night. So, Alice easily secured herself a place to sleep after inserting a segment of memory fragment into the two girls’ memories with Consciousness Transformation, the memory fragment causing the girls to subconsciously ignore her presence in the room.

The memory fragment also worked wonders. Neither of the two female students had minded Alice’s presence in their room. When the dormitory manager came for an inspection, Alice simply hid in the bathroom and took a shower.

The dormitory manager had already been informed that only two girls would be sleeping in this room tonight. So, when she saw two girls in the room, she left without suspecting anything. However, the manager probably never thought that not only were there no missing occupants in this room but there was even one extra hiding in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, it would seem that the effect of Consciousness Transformation had worked a little too well. It was to the point where the two girls had ignored Alice’s existence completely.

The four beds in this room were put together in a row. Because Alice did not exist in the two girls’ consciousness, they slept unrestrainedly at night, each of them occupying two beds and sleeping in a spreadeagle position. Meanwhile, Alice, who slept between them, had the misfortune of sleeping with the two girls’ arms and legs spread across her body.

Sure enough, free lunches won’t taste very good. Whatever…

Although Alice found it uncomfortable to wake up to two legs and an arm pressing down on her body, it was a fact that she had borrowed the two girls’ dormitory for a good night’s rest. Moreover, she wouldn’t have to experience this same situation again tomorrow. She only had to spend the night in the Royal Magic Tower because she had wasted too much time on Mador’s matter yesterday. So long as she made sure not to stay in the Royal Magic Tower past the curfew, she could rent a place outside the tower.

So long as she made sure not to stay in the Royal Magic Tower past the curfew, she could rent a place outside the tower. Moreover, her student ID wasn’t tied to any dormitory. So, nobody would realize that Alice wasn’t actually staying in the Royal Magic Tower.

After pushing aside the arm and legs on top of her, Alice got out of bed and quietly entered the bathroom. Then, she pulled out her toiletries from her backpack, washed herself up, and left the room. Throughout this entire process, the two female students remained sound asleep on their four beds.

It was still early in the morning when Alice left the room. Although there were already signs of activity in the corridor, the dormitory area was still relatively quiet. Apart from a few diligent students, most students would probably need some more rest before they were ready to start their day.

Since there was nobody in the corridor to see Alice leaving the room, there would be no possibility of anybody suspecting her. After leisurely walking out of the dormitory area, Alice took the mana elevator to the first floor and waltzed out of the Royal Magic Tower.

Nobody would realize that Alice was the “Demon King” who the Rhine Kingdom was currently worrying about. Even if someone did take notice of her, they were unlikely to suspect her of being the Demon King, especially not after seeing her appearance.

Because of her identity as the Gryffin Kingdom’s princess, Alice was relatively well known in the human realm. Should others take notice of her, they would only be surprised and wonder when the Gryffin Princess had entered the Royal Magic Tower. Nobody would suspect her of being the Demon King.

The ginormous “Franken Convention Center” located in the heart of Icarus City was an incredibly famous venue. Cultural exhibitions of all kinds would often be held here. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the convention center was in use all year round.

Meanwhile, the event hosted here today was the “30th Icarus City Anime and Game Convention.”

When Alice arrived near the venue, she saw countless convention goers making their way into the convention center.

Alice had watched some of this world’s anime recently. Although most anime in this world had relatively old-fashioned plots, in her opinion, thanks to the assistance of magic, the production standard was in no way inferior to the anime she had watched on Earth before she had transmigrated. The anime in this world was even superior to Earth’s anime in certain aspects, such as magic special effects.

When Alice got closer to the convention center, she saw quite a few people cosplaying, creating a very vibrant scene. Originally, Alice would attract a lot of attention because of her large sun hat. However, her appearance became inconspicuous when she stood among the various strangely-dressed cosplayers.

“Number Two! Over here! Over here!”

When Alice approached the meeting point she had previously agreed on with Lilith, she quickly found Lilith. Lilith was obviously cosplaying today as she wore a costume that gave her the appearance of an angel. Although Alice didn’t know what character Lilith was cosplaying, the pair of white wings on Lilith’s back made her stand out a lot.

Moreover, thanks to the power of magic, the wings were even moving along with Lilith’s movements, looking like they were a real pair of wings. It also didn’t look cumbersome to wear and move around in. When it came to cosplaying, this otherworld definitely had Earth beaten.

Lilith did not use Alice’s name when she called out to Alice. Although “Alice” was a relatively common name, the name had received a lot more attention ever since Alice was announced as the Gryffin King’s illegitimate daughter and the Gryffin Kingdom’s princess. In addition, Alice’s appearance was also widely known in the human realm. So, if Lilith were to yell out Alice’s name and draw attention to Alice, others would quickly notice Alice.

“You sure are brave to come here dressed like this,” Alice commented after walking up to Lilith and scrutinizing the other party’s costume.

There wasn’t anything wrong with Lilith’s costume. It was quite the normal costume, and it wasn’t particularly revealing. The problem was that Lilith had hardly done anything to decorate her face. Even her hair was her original blonde hair. She had simply done away with her twintails and allowed her hair to cascade down her back like a waterfall.

“I’m not like you. I’m not really famous in the Rhine Kingdom,” Lilith said, shaking her head and sighing. Then, she pointed at her face and continued, “Also, I’ve put on some light makeup. Although it doesn’t change my appearance by much, it is unlikely that anybody will recognize me. Speaking of which, do you know which character I am cosplaying today?”

Alice shook her head blankly, her response causing Lilith to roll her eyes in exasperation and say:

“Didn’t I recommend the anime to you before? It’s called Legend of Angels, and it’s an excellent work. I’m cosplaying as one of the heroines. You should put more effort into catching up with these great works.”

Alice smiled awkwardly but didn’t say anything. She had been so busy recently that she didn’t really have time to watch anime recently. Alice also noticed that Lilith had seemingly transformed into the “Blonde Twintails” she knew online after arriving at the anime convention. The girl did not behave like she was the princess of a kingdom.

Lilith did not get angry with Alice. Instead, she quickly picked up the bag next to her feet and held it up for Alice, smiling as she said, “I’ll forgive you this time, but make sure to watch it later. Anyway, I brought you a costume as well. It’s for the little sister of the character I’m cosplaying as. The little sister also has blonde hair, and her body is slightly smaller. I’ve long felt that you would be perfect for this role.

“Don’t worry. I’ll put on some makeup for you so others won’t recognize you easily. Even if someone does recognize you, it would only happen on the internet a few days later.”

“I-I’ll pass…”

Alice’s face twitched when she heard Lilith’s words. She had never cosplayed before, even before she transmigrated. So, she subconsciously tried to refuse the costume Lilith offered her.

However, before Alice could retreat, Lilith grabbed her shoulders and reached for her twintails, saying, “Relax, relax. I’ve planned out everything already. I’ll make sure you have an enjoyable time here.”

Alice’s heart sank when she saw Lilith reaching for her twintails. Hurriedly, she tried to stop the other party.
