Where… is this?

The moment Morgan opened her eyes, she could only see nothing. Literally nothing. It was dark and damp at the same time, while a soft and warm breeze flowed from time to time. She turned her head around to have a better understanding of the place she was standing on. But in the end, she could only see pitch black darkness no matter where she turned her head to.

What was I doing before this…? Oh, I was up against the Goblin Champion

[Yeah, that’s correct.]

Immediately, Morgan turned her head to the right and spotted her reflection talking to her. Just as the same as before, her reflection was much paler and had black scleras in the eyes.

“Cthylla…”

She instantly recognized the only one who was able to make that kind of situation, Cthylla, and called her name. Meanwhile, Cthylla snorted and crossed her arms arrogantly.

[Do you really understand the meaning of what you’ve said to me earlier?]

Unusually, the carefree Cthylla let out a serious tone in her wordings and Morgan completely knew the reason why.

“I probably understand, but not all of it.”

[Then why did you propose that kind of offering? I deliberately changed the content of our contract so you didn’t die instantly once you agreed to it. But you… You intentionally offered your soul as a payment for becoming one with me? What kind of joke is that!?]

Cthylla approached Morgan with a terrifying look on her face. It was quite easy to know that she was somewhat angry and disappointed, as her emotion was reflected in her complexion. Once she reached Morgan, she clutched Morgan’s cheek with one hand.

[I don’t know what you’re planning and I have no intention of becoming one with you. You still need your soul to do your work so just bear with it.]

Cthylla let go of Morgan’s cheeks and pushed her away. She then turned her body away and walked towards the darkness.

[I’ll return you to reali─]

“Cthylla the Secret Daughter…”

Hearing Morgan’s sudden words, Cthylla stopped walking and glared at Morgan.

“Or maybe I should call you, the child birthing machine for the Great Old Ones?”

Instantly, Cthylla leaped and strangled Morgan’s neck and lifted her collar one-handedly, revealing the bottom part of Morgan’s ample breasts clearly.

[... What… are you trying to imply? What do you know about me for you to have the right to say such things?]

The scenery was quite absurd where seemingly identical twins were having a serious quarrel and one of them dominated the other one abusively. Cthylla purposely instilled fear in Morgan’s brain, at least that was what she tried to do, but instead of getting scared, Morgan calmly heaved a sigh and shrugged her arms, albeit sweating cold all over and shivering a little.

“I know quite a bit… unfortunately…”

Morgan’s words were stuttering, as she suffocated, unable to properly breathe. But that didn’t make her falter to do what must be done.

[Huh?]

Cthylla raised her eyebrows while still keeping her hostile expression.

“You see? Didn’t I tell you I’ve been feeling quite uneasy the whole time?”

[... What’s with that?]

“Let me down first.”

[Tsk.]

After clicking her tongue, Cthylla loosened her grip on Morgan’s collar and it resulted in Morgan falling down to the ground butt first.

“Ouch! Oi!”

[...]

Cthylla heavy-heartedly extended her hand to help Morgan stand. And seeing that, Morgan only grinned and took Cthylla’s hand with all her might. Once she already stood up, Morgan patted her butt to clean it and found it strange that there was no dirt at all.

[... This place is the Imaginary Realm inside your shadow. I only pulled a portion of your consciousness here.]

With a dubious look on her face, Morgan tilted her head slightly in response.

[Simply put, this is kind of a dream world. Anything that happens here won’t affect the real world. And of course, the concept of place and time doesn’t apply here, so your physical body is still in danger. Look.]

Cthylla swung her right arm and instantly, a projection of holographic display appeared out of nowhere, showing the scene where Morgan was standing still defenselessly in front of the Goblin Champion that was ready to swing its huge club at Morgan.

[Once you’re back to reality, that huge thing will definitely land on your head.]

“And that’s why I proposed the idea.”

Calmly, Morgan approached Cthylla. She then took Cthylla’s right hand and placed it between her palms seducingly.

[Let me tell you something. If you’re trying to seduce me, that’s pointless. This form isn’t my real body so whatever you do to it, I won’t feel a thing.]

Cthylla pulled her hand and stepped backwards once.

“And my objection is to become one with that real body of yours, Cthylla.”

Morgan crossed her arms and snorted, imitating Cthylla who had done it earlier.

[You really… Ugh, nevermind. Now, talk.]

Seeing that Cthylla was opened up to at least a negotiation, Morgan grinned and uttered.

“You see? Haven’t I told you about the uneasiness I’ve been feeling the whole time?”

[... Yeah, what’s with that?]

“So you wanna hear it, huh?”

Morgan closed her eyelids shut before continuing her words.

“Well, the uneasiness grew stronger whenever I was looking at the elf girl… What was her name again?”

[... Sylvana…]

“Oh, yeah. Sylvana. And at least, when I looked at her stomach.”

[What are you trying to say? Don’t waste any more time than this…]

Beginning to lose her patience slowly, Cthylla urged Morgan not to prolong the useless explanation, at least for her.

“Don’t rush things, Cthylla. Let’s take it nice and slow, okay?”

[...]

And so, Morgan continued.

“Sylvana was pregnant, right? And as you know, I was originally a man, although I look like this right now.”

[So?]

“There’s been a certain question in my mind that you probably weren't aware of… And that is, how could a man like me feel so uneasy after seeing a pregnant woman?”

[... That’s… just the effect of your personal conviction.]

In response to Cthylla’s statement, Morgan only shook her head and with scheming eyes, she uttered.

“Well, I was trying to retain my humanity by trying to convince and restrict myself from doing needless killings and found it useless since I’m no longer human and literally felt almost nothing. But my real reason for not killing that elf girl lies somewhere else…”

Morgan pointed her finger at Cthylla who was standing still and holding herself up not to jump on the cocky Morgan.

“It must have something to do with you. I still vividly remember when you said we’ve fused into one while in fact I haven’t been able to feel your presence whatsoever, different to the beings you call your parents before.”

Morgan began to walk in a circle as she glanced at Cthylla from time to time.

“Although they didn’t show themselves like you, I was able to feel their presence clearly. But you, I really didn’t feel anything aside from hearing a young girl’s voice talking in my head directly. And that sucked real bad.”

[...]

“Strangely enough, although you said we’re connected, why do I feel that way and why do you sometimes know nothing of what I’m thinking or feeling? It’s like, the connection wasn’t established properly and you tried to cover for that? Didn’t you find it strange whenever I asked where you went and you just answered with what you were actually doing? You’re underestimating my observation ability too much, Cthylla.”

[Enough…]

“And one more thing, the first contact you made with me. Did you really think it was that easy to convince me that you were my ally? Of course, I was also at fault for assaulting and devouring you like that, but what’s the point? There’s been a huge crack in our contract that you seem to be aware of but decided to ignore, thinking that I didn’t realize that.”

[... I said, enough…]

“No, it is not. I still haven’t told you everything. Especially the uneasiness that grew stronger whenever I looked at Sylvana’s stomach while I, as a man, shouldn’t feel anything a─”

[STOP IT!]

With a shrill and hoarse voice, Cthylla screamed and again, strangled Morgan’s neck but this time with both hands.

[DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE CONTINUE YOUR WORDS! WHAT WOULD A MORTAL LIKE YOU KNOW ABOUT ME AND MY CIRCUMSTANCES? YOU DON’T KNOW HOW I FE─]

“I know!”

With a choking voice, Morgan cut Cthylla’s words while still being strangled.

“Your immense hatred towards your parents, you being overly hostile to Sylvana, you urging me to kill her in the worst way possible, you being weirdly sad after I said something about being led and manipulated by others, I know everything, Cthylla!”

[No, you don’t!]

As if ignoring Cthylla’s words, Morgan kept continuing her words.

“You were manipulated and treated like a birthing machine by your parents, right!? That’s why I also felt uneasy when looking at Sylvana’s stomach, because you’re seeing yourself in her!”

[No! No! No!]

Cthylla strengthened her grip while Morgan began to feel light-headed, as she was strangled for quite a bit of time. With the last ounce of strength left in her body, Morgan shouted, expressing the words that could be considered naive. But at that time, Morgan clearly knew those words were what Cthylla really wanted to hear.

“Accept my proposal, Cthylla! Let me also shoulder those burdens of yours! And I’ll let you shoulder mine!”

[... Eh…?]

As if a wall inside her heart was being scraped little by little, Cthylla instantly raised her face and looked at Morgan with teary eyes after hearing Morgan’s words. She then gradually loosened her grip, letting Morgan down back on her own two feet.

“I know you’ve been just acting tough while in fact you’re broken inside, Cthylla. That’s the reason why you choose to dwell in vileness, because you’re afraid of being treated the same way as your parents did to you… Just like me who hates my fate and everything that’s in my way…”

Slowly, Morgan approached the crying Cthylla and hugged her. It was quite a sight to behold, where two identical individuals embraced each other inside a nothingness.

“Let me share that vileness. I’ll get rid of those parents of yours, while in return you accept me whole. Become mine, Cthylla. And this time, for real.”

Falling deep in Morgan’s sweet words and promises, Cthylla lost her strength and resigned herself to being embraced tightly by Morgan.

[... You promise?]

“Yes, I promise. Let me have my share of that vileness.”

Sensually, Morgan caressed Cthylla’s back and when her hands were at Cthylla’s bottom, she groped it, pulling Cthylla even closer to her embrace.

[Your hands…]

“As someone who claimed to feel nothing, you’re making quite a fuss about being groped.”

Morgan grinned at the meek and submissive Cthylla. A moment later, Cthylla made a strange gesture with her left foot and said.

[You’re a weirdo…]

“You hate that?”

[Nu’uh. Then I’ll summon my real body here…]

“Please do.”

With a wide grin on her face, Morgan looked at Cthylla who was also making the same expression at that time.

{Let’s begin the dance, dear…♥}

In unison, the both of them uttered and closed the distance between their respective lips.
