Chapter 32: Meeting, part 1

(sorry that this chapter is short. my brain is kinda dead right now, but I didn't want to not post anything)

Ariel’s POV

It had been 2 years since I was teleported to this weird alternate version of earth, they called home. I was 19 years of age and currently walking down the corridor of a manor. Said manor belonged to the duke of the Wirewood in the Wirewood.

The Wirewood was a forest that held a county of elves. The elves that lived there were not unlike Tolkien’s elves. These guys had insect wings though.

And they were racist… why are all elves racist? Like Jesus Christ I talked to one before and the number of racial slurs their tongue can say in a minute is honestly amazing.

The thing is though… we must protect them as the Francian military has gotten into the heart of well the heartland.

I heard that Germany had successfully taken Paris, but France still hadn’t capitulated. From what I heard the wielder of the blade of Emner had come up with a strategy. Said strategy had them send in Norse-style longboats and sail up the river that led to Paris. Paris was not the capital of France in this world but was instead a major trading hub.

It was said that the wielder of the blade of Emner wanted to meet me, so they carved a path form Paris to the tip of Brittainy. The army they mustered came from the corpses of the dead that the blade of Emner slew. Life spirits and death spirits possessed the bodies and grew them into soldiers. (Yes, that’s the lore).
