…
Once the whole thing with Gary was over with and father gave his approval and told me not to raise him poorly, we went into the manor and met with the other heroes. One was named turner and was from the same earth as Gorn and the other one was named Hera she was from an earth where the civil war was won by the north instead of the south.
The meeting room where this was all taking place was nicely furnished and had a tall ceiling. The rug on the floor seemed to be made of wool. It looked like it took time to make and in all honesty it sucked. The color was all wrong and it looked to have been stepped on too much.
There was a oval table on top of the rug I took way too long explaining and two couches on either side of the table. Booth had wooden furniture and green sew-in cushions. Father sat down on one side of the table with me on his lap. Gary side beside him looking like he wanted to say something. The others sat on the other side of the table.
“Mother can I have something to drink?” asked Gary.
“of course, Gary; Emner, can you produce some water for Gary?” I asked.
A glass of water made from magic appeared on the table filed with cool looking water. Gary took it and thanked Emner and me.
“what is this thing?” asked Turner, He looked at me and then at Gary pointing.
“He is my boy and you will not insult him,” I told him.
he didn’t look satisfied but didn’t continue the line of questioning. Ariel seemed to want to ask a question, so I nodded my head and asked her about it.
“You just act a lot like someone I used to know, but their dead now so I… you just act like them,” she explained.
“Well, about that.”
