Three monsters appeared as the Boss phase started.
The system messages came up and disappeared. A very concise information came up on top of their heads.
[Caliclops: Lv 15 (transcendence)]
[Macan Hound: Lv 14 (transcendence)]
[Earth Gigant: Lv 14 (transcendence)]
All three had different appearances.
The left one, the Macan Hound, was a monster with two lion heads.
In the middle was the one called, Caliclops, and as mentioned before, he looked very similar to the Guardian Machine that Ian killed in the beginning.
Ian looked at him and began to be much more cautious.
‘Let’s check out their attribute first?’
The most distinctive feature of the machine monsters in the contaminated mine was their ‘attributes’.
Even with a small number of attributes, they were great enough to be compared with the spirits.
The machines, as of the moment, seemed like they had attributes.
Therefore, it was important to figure out what kind of attributes they possessed before entering the battle.
‘The lion on the left seems to be a fire attribute, and the Gigant was golem is of land. The guy in the middle is…’
The attributes of the lion and golem were not so difficult to grasp.
The lion was throwing fire, and golems had always been made of land.
In addition to confirming the information of the monster, it was possible to even check their attribute information.
However, the problem was the guy in the middle.
The attribute window of the guy in the middle had ‘???’ floating on top of its head.
‘What? Could this really be happening now?’
Ian was facing the guy who looked similar to the Guardian Machine like guy.
However, the texture he had and the aura he gave out was entirely different from that Zion attribute monster.
It felt to them as if some other soul had been merged into the body of the Guardian Machine.
The dark stains and burnt marks of the monster before them looked as if lava had been poured onto it.
‘If it looks like that, then it can’t be a fire attribute….’
When Ian looked at the one in the middle, he was sure that he was going to be a fire attribute monster.
He gave out the feeling of a lava’s raging heat.
However, if it was indeed a fire attribute, there was no reason to block that information.
Ian could feel that it was getting much more interesting.
“So this is your lab, huh?”
-Yes, human. Did you come in here without knowing??
“Stupid, how am I supposed to know if this is the first time.”
-Eiik! Disgusting human, die!
Ian was trying to rile him up, and the machine monsters rushed in his direction.
As that was happening, a hardcore battle began which was as tough as the first phase.

“So, where did that tortoise that Prettybbook is waiting for go to?”
“Is that important now, Bbook? There is already another one in her heart bbook…”
Tears of sadness were about to come out of BBookbbook.
The eyes of Bbookbbook were losing focus.
Staring at Bbookbbook’s pitiful face, Harin spoke about it again.
“So you’re going to give up so easily?”
“BBook?”
“Are both the meatball and Prettybbook important?”
“Of course…”
Bbookbbook gulped down and opened his mouth.
“Obviously, Prettybbook is important!”
“You seemed like you weren’t so sure a while ago…”
“No! There was nothing I wasn’t sure about bbook!”
Bbookbbook answered by shaking his head.
Harin smiled.
“Can you live without the meatballs?”
Bbookbbook always answered that question within the duration of 0.1 seconds.
“No bbook.”
“Then you can’t live without Prettybbook?”
“Is it alright to say that bbook?”
“Surely! Prettybbook is much more important than meatballs!”
Harin said quickly to Bbookbbook who was concerned and confused.
“If there is no one more beautiful than Prettybbook, then there is no other option for you.”
“BBook?”
“Love is war.”
Harin clenched her fist and directed it at Bbookbbook.
“So what I mean to say Bbookbbook-ah, you need to know about the tortoise that Prettybbook is waiting for.”
“Is that so important Bbook?”
“Obviously! Or you’ll be ruined! If you know your opponent, then fighting a hundred years is not so dangerous.”
As Harin was able to convince BBookbbook with a plausible explanation, he became lively.
“BBook!!!”
“So go and talk to her. Do you know his name?”
Lost in his thoughts, BBookbbook closed his eyes to remember the name.
After a while, he shook his head and responded, “I don’t know his name bbook. But I know why he can’t come back bbook.”
“Oh ho?”
Harin’s eyes began to twinkle like a little kid’s eyes because of that.
Bbookbbook met her eyes when he was about to give the reason.
“That tortoise was said to be taken away by a bad human called ‘Charlies’ bbook.”

In the window of the Kailan quest, the quest difficulty of the quest wasn’t always on point.
Of course, the quest difficulty fluctuated depending on various factors.
Those factors were the party power at the time of the quest and the combat abilities of the users.
Due to various unpredictable factors, the difficulty presented in the quest might vary.
The quest difficulty of Ian’s ongoing quest—’Charlies laboratory’—was A++.
The quest Ian cleared in the past—’Killing the Guardian Machine’—had a difficulty of A+.
It was obvious that the difficulty of the Charlies lab was higher.
However, there were some other factors involved.
First, Ian had three party members when he was doing the Guardian Machine quest.
You are reading story The Taming Master at novel35.com
Second, the transcendence level of Ian was much higher now than the time when he was doing the guardian machine quest.
Given those factors, the real difficulty of the Charlies lab quest was going to be a bit lower.
Ian’s transcendence level was higher now. However, it wasn’t high enough to fill the gap of the party members he had before.
Which was why Ian guessed that this current quest would be of the same level of difficulty as the guardian machine quest.
He was under the impression that the three monsters in the boss phase weren’t going to be as strong as the guardian.
Unlike the guardian machine which had a tricky Zion attribute, the bosses now had no Zion attribute.
But Ian’s predictions missed completely.
‘Huuh… who has such kind of damage?’
Ian’s gaze was fixed on the red gorilla after he wiped off the sweat on his cheeks.
Among the three of them, the combat power of the current one was well above the expectations of Ian.
Surely, he didn’t have the hard recovery that ‘Zion’ had nor the resilience of the guardian.
However, his combat power, especially his magic attack power, was much stronger than that of the guardian watchmen.
Kwakwang-!
The annoying sound of constant explosions could be heard all around Ian.
Ian quickly fled and avoided the projectiles that were coming his way.
‘Shit.’
Ian was able to avoid the explosions, but he still suffered some damage from its impact.
[Damage incurred from the boss monster ‘Caliclops’.]
[Vitality of 2,908 has been reduced.]
[Vitality of 3,102 has been reduced.]
Ian quickly checked his remaining vitality.
Despite the multiple heals he had due to the special ability of the Judgment of the Spirit king, less than half of his vitality was remaining.
On the other hand, the vitality of the Caliclops was more than 70 percent.
‘It surely was right to focus on one guy first.’
Ian’s eyes moved to the side, heading towards the Macan Hound and the Earth Giant.
The vitality of the Macan Hound was almost exhausted, and the vitality of the Earth Giant was only around 30 percent.
“Agbi, let’s get this guy first!”
-Understood, master.
Ian jumped into the air and pulled the strings of his bow in succession.
The arrows of flames began to produce a line of fire when they left Ian’s bow.
Due to the fast shooting of the arrows, it was as if an illusion was being made.
Papapak-!
Suddenly, Ian changed his target and surprised the Hound, which made it jump to the left.
However, it wasn’t so easy to avoid the arrows of Ian.
[Deadly fire damage has been done to the ‘Macan Hound’!]
[The ‘Macan Hound’ suffered 209 damage!]
[The ‘Macan Hound’ suffered 221 damage!]
… syncopation…
[The ‘Hellfire’ mark has been overwritten to MAX.]
[The mark will cause powerful explosion.]
[The monster ‘Macan Hound’ was killed by the deadly fire damage!]
[The ‘Macan Hound’ suffered 2,245 damage!]
[The mark will cause powerful explosion.]
[The ‘Macan Hound’ suffered 2,245 damage!]
The Hellfire was showing nearly three times the destructive power than the time it was attacking the Reprobot, a rock-type tanking monster.
Of course, there were two more guys that Ian had to deal with, but Ian was obsessed with the Macan Hound.
Thud-!
Ian was able to knock down one of the three.
[The vitality of ‘Macan Hound’ has been exhausted.]
[You have successfully defeated the Macan Hound!]
However, Ian wasn’t feeling that great.
Even though he defeated that monster, the vitality of Ian was getting low.
‘At this pace, it may not be possible to clear…’
The Room of Rock surely was a difficult one, but at least there was a way for him to clear it.
The robot in the room was very sluggish and hence the control could be limited.
But the boss phase was a bit different.
If the monsters kept on doing a wide-area magic in such a limited area, then even if it was the great Ian, avoiding the damage would be impossible.
He was able to use his best play even with the lack of control in the Room of Rock, but in the current room, clearing it seemed like a long shot even with the best control.
There was only one way for Ian to clear this boss phase.
That being, the battle stats of Ian being high.
Before all of his vitality got shaved down, the only way to get rid of the other ones was to perform much more offensive power.
‘Huhu, it’s a bit too early to give up…!’
Gulping down, Ian held the fire longbow in his hand.
No matter how difficult it was, giving up wasn’t something that went well with Ian.
Right then, with a loud rumbling sound, the Caliclops which was running in the direction of Ian, stopped.
“…?”
Ian then heard a voice.
-Just a simple human. But that simple one has come all the way here.
In Ian’s ears, a typical villain type speech resonated.
And when the dialogue was done…
Wheeing-!
With a loud machine-like sound, Caliclops jumped with his body.
Kwaah-!
Ian who wanted to place more deal continued to throw arrows in his direction, but they were of no use.
They all got blocked by the black energy that started to spread around the guy, and all the arrows just vanished.
‘Is the phase shifting?’
Ian was staring at him with anxiety.
If that one got any stronger, then the odds of winning would be zero for Ian.
However, Ian’s eyes, which were looking at it, went wide.
The hound which had been dead on the ground and the body of the Gigant was glowing with a red aura and then broke into the air.
“…!”
The body of the two monsters burst into a hundred small pieces in the air.
All the particles started to fly toward the Caliclops.
Ching- Ching-!
Huge sounds rang all throughout the dungeon.
Ian, who was staring at it intently, forgot that he was supposed to fight.
‘This isn’t some collective robot…’
As the particles of the other robots were absorbed, the body of the Caliclops began to change.
