“It’s the vine.” Feng Tianlan put her uninjured hand over her chest. The vine that grew from her heart could assist her recovery. It was a long time since she had gotten injured, so she forgot about this ability.
Luo Yunzhu peeled back the new bandage that was wrapped around Feng Tianlan’s shoulder carefully. This gruesome wound had also begun to heal itself. Her voice was filled with disbelief. “Tianlan, this one is patching up as well.”
Feng Tianlan gave her shoulder a brief look and grunted. “It’s better to bandage it though, otherwise the others will think there is some sacred relic in my body that gives me instant recovery.”
Luo Yunzhu nodded and helped Chuling rewrap the bandage on Feng Tianlan’s shoulder and put one around her hand.
“Tianlan, how did Pang Tai come to be your disciple? Why did you take him in?” Pang Tai turned out to be the master of the headmaster of the Flying Frost Pavilion and right now, Feng Tianlan had become his master, making her the headmaster’s grandmaster. It felt good just thinking about it.
“That is an accident. I am also not sure about it.” She had no idea why the Advanced-stage Spiritual Emperor, Pang Tai, was being so persistent about wanting her to be his master.
“Well it doesn’t matter, now there is a place for us in the Flying Frost Pavilion. Anyone can see that the headmaster is purposely picking on you. Now that you are officially his grandmaster, he cannot pick on you anymore. Not only that, he also has to greet you as Grandmaster respectfully.”
Feng Tianlan frowned, and she raised her head abruptly. She asked Lux Yunzhu, “When you used your whip, did you shout out ‘Galaxy Whip’?”
“Huh?” Luo Yunzhu thought for a moment, then shook her head. “No, I didn’t. Why?”
Luo Yunzhu stopped what she was doing in astonishment. “Does that mean there is another person who knows this skill?”
Feng Tianlan did not respond. She carefully recalled what happened in the chaos earlier. Luo Yunzhu had used her Galaxy Whip on Qi Shujie. After that, Qi Hongan rushed at Yunzhu with murderous intent.
Feng Tianlan stroked her chin several times, deep in thought. Then, her eyes hardened. “It’s him!”
“Who?” Luo Yunzhu was startled by Feng Tianlan’s harsh tone.
“Qi Hongan.”
“What wrong with the headmaster?” Luo Yunzhu couldn’t follow her train of thought.
Feng Tianlan lifted her head and her eyes burned into Luo Yunzhu. She warned in a low voice, “From now on, you must always stay by my side. If you need to head out, make sure you bring Little Furball with you.”
“What’s wrong? Why are you suddenly anxious?” Luo Yunzhu worried about her.
Feng Tianlan had no intention of hiding the danger from Luo Yunzhu and she narrated the story of the Shang Family to her. At the end of it, she said, “When you used the Galaxy Whip, he must have felt threatened. That’s why he tried to shut you up by killing you.”
When Qi Hongan saw Luo Yunzhu use the Galaxy Whip, he must have thought that she was a descendant of the Shang Family, or at least related to them. That’s why he tried to kill Yunzhu, to avoid further complications.
“You are really here to cause trouble…” She thought Feng Tianlan said that for fun previously, but it looked like she was serious about it.
Chuling finished bandaging Feng Tianlan’s palm and said worriedly, “Since we’re all together, the headmaster must have considered us a thorn in his flesh.”
“Even without this matter, he would still act the same way. Besides, there’s something different about Qi Shujie today.” Feng Tianlan recalled Qi Shujie’s role in the chaos today and compared it to her previous encounter with him in the small town.
He was still very much the same person, but his imposing manner was different now. She couldn’t tell exactly what about him had changed.
“Since the headmaster is the traitor you are looking for, what are you going to do, Tianlan?” Luo Yunzhu wondered if they could ask Pang Tai to kill the headmaster for them.
“Let’s wait and see what happens. Pang Tai has declared himself my disciple, but it might be a whim he’ll grow out of. Qi Hongan has been his disciple for decades. He wouldn’t kill him just because I said so.” She could see their tight master-disciple bond from Pang Tai’s decision not to punish Qi Hongan.
