“Papa! Papa! Tell me the story of how you married mom again!” A little girl asked with sparkling eyes as she sat on her father’s lap.

Ludwig smiled, petting his daughter’s pink hair as he told the story he told a hundred times, his golden-blue eyes turning warm and reminiscent.

Ludwig and Lucy were a strange pairing, at a first glance, no one would have dreamed they were lovers, their status only amplified this impression. Ludwig used to think the same, however, overtime, Lucy grew on him, especially on the night where she confessed at the cherry tree they used to play at when they were just little kids, he promised to marry her on that same night.

However, it was easier said than done. For one, their parents would never allow it. And two, Lucy already had a fiancé. But as always, love preserved. On the day of her wedding, Ludwig took her away and ran into the forest, abandoning the home they grew up in, and starting their life anew.

When Ludwig finished the story, his daughter looked at him with dazed flurried as she asked, “Were there any consequences?”

“Were there any consequences?” Ludwig repeated his daughter’s question, his eyes slowly falling towards her long, long, long triangular chin. Awkwardly, he smiled, “Just a few.”
