We reached the town of Mito before the night came and settled in a random inn above a tavern at the edge of the city.
Immediately after reaching the inn, I had changed into a butler uniform, as out here, I would be in a much higher position in society if I was perceived as a trusted butler of a head maid of the Endendyk House, rather than a fallen noble that had been banished to the north.
And well, right after changing, this disguise was put into use.
Descending down to the first floor of the inn, I had ordered a regular dinner, and had sat back at the edge of the room, observing the drinking and gambling that was happening.
Then, getting up from the bar, I saw a person dressed in noble clothes looking lecherously at Sari who had just come down the stairs.
"Hey Elf Girl, come spend a night with me!" He shouted across the room.
He then started staggering over in her direction, but she just sidestepped him when he reached for her, and so he fell, crashing down into a table.
"You bitch! I'm Walter Bessemer! The son of the noble that rules these lands! Come to a room with me right now or your whole family will lose their heads!" He shouted from down in the mess of broken and splintered pieces of wood.
Seeing that Sari had stopped in her movement, a smile spread across his face, probably thinking that Sari had fallen for his threats just like every other girl he had raped.
But then, she turned around and spit right in his grinning mouth.
Shocked for a second, his eyes widened, and they soon turned livid in anger as he roared, picked himself up, and threw a sloppy punch at Sari's body.
Not even bothering to sidestep it, Sari just continued walking towards my table.
The noble's fist narrowly missed the back of her skirt, and with the momentum, the noble yet once again crashed down into another table.
Sari just elegantly ignored all the noise and came to sit down at my table with me, digging into the bowl of soup that I had ordered earlier for her.
I watched as the drunk Bessemer left the bar, and so I just sat there and absorbed the silence in our surroundings, the rest of the tavern patrons as still as redwoods in a forest, with their eyes bulging and mouths hanging wide open.
The waitress that had served us came up to our table and whispered,
"Y'all best take the back door and get as far away as you can from this place. The Bessemers won't hesitate to do the most gruesome things to your wife whilst you're left there limbless and watching."
Hearing that the waitress thought Sari was my wife, I just smirked and Sari blushed, but, not denying this, I just responded by saying,
"Thank you, but you needn't worry about us, we'll deal with this situation."
The waitress looked at us skeptically, but eventually just sighed and left us to our own devices.
Then, after a few minutes of waiting, the young noble burst back into the tavern, this time, with about 10 guardsmen in tow.
"Over there! They're the ones that disrespected me!"
Clearing out the tavern, the guardsmen then surrounded us.
Reaching their hands forward to try and apprehend us, in less than a second, all of their arms were on the floor.
"Touch us, and you'll go to hell."

Uttering these words, I calmly observed the looks of fear in their eyes.
But then, out of nowhere, a pressure descended on us, one that I never expected to find in this backwater town.
"Why did you just cut off the arms of my subordinates? You now have disrespecting a noble and unlawfully maiming members of the city's guard as your charges."
"Just kill them already! What are you waiting for!"
By now, the young noble looked basically crazy, his mind clouded with anger.
But, the man that just entered pretended like he didn't hear anything and continued with his speech.
"You should know that threatening my subordinates means that you have earned my utmost wrath. For that you will both now be executed at the pyre, the most painful way of dying."
Hearing this, the young noble smiled widely.
"YES! That's what they deserve! But leave the bitch to me so that I can have my fun first!" He ordered to whom I assumed was the captain of the guard.
The guard only nodded before slowly starting to walk to us, "pressuring" us with his "overwhelming" aura.
The Bessemer continued on ranting from behind him, but before he could continue spouting out degenerate filth, his head had already fallen to the floor, and I was already sheathing my sword next to where the rest of his body was still standing before I pushed it down next to the decapitated head.
"Tsk! So annoying!"
Hearing this, the captain of the guard turned around and swung his sword at me.
"You're lucky! The punishment for killing a noble is immediate execution!"
But, before he could do anything, Char entered the room, and his sword immediately shattered into pieces.
"W-w-what?" He muttered, his mind trying to wrap itself around what had just happened.
"I am a Head Maid of House Endendyk and these are my two subordinates, what seems to be the problem?"
"H-H-House Endendyk?"
"Are you deaf? If you have no more problems with us, then leave."
And, although her voice was calm, the power carried in her words flung all of the guardsmen outside the tavern.
"That should take care of them. Are you okay, Young Master?"
"Yeah, just prepare to deal with the Lord tomorrow, I "accidentally" just killed his son."
"Understood, I'll visit the Lord tonight so that we might have a pleasant journey tomorrow."
After hearing this, I walked back up to the inn above the tavern and visited the children with Sari for a while, before retiring to me room and getting a good night's sleep.
