"I'm sorry, but I'll have to refuse the offer."
Listing out a whole laundry of reasons, I comforted the crying Niki by doing the only thing I could do at the moment, as the big brother I was of course, which was to hug her against my side, letting her cry onto my chest, as I patted her back.
'Damn, this really is a hassle. I'm already starting to rethink my idea of making them a bishop or a rook in my plans. To think I was also pondering whether or not to make them a queen...'
I mean, my judgement of people had been pretty spot on so far, but now...
Well, I didn't know what to think.
Laying Niki down on the bed whilst laying down next to her, I continued to cradle her on my chest as her snot and tears started to stain my shirt.
"Don't cry, I'll still be here for you even if we're not in an intimate relationship."
Whispering sweet words into her ear, very similarly to the devil, I continued to try and rein in this extremely emotional version of my Third Sister.
'Huh?'
A prick in the back of my neck?
Then, nothing, as I blacked out.
...
'This fucking messed up family...'
It really was just my luck that this happened to me.
'Motherfucking bastards! #&*$&^&@#&*#@$&*T^^&@!!!!!!!'
Oh, wait, you guys weren't aware of what had just transpired?
It's simple really, I was now in a death game.
Literally.
I mean, it really wasn't an expected element in a Korean Romance Novel, but I remembered this arc clearly, as one of the mobs died a brutal death.
And it was all because of this place that I was in right now.
'If I'm right, I should be in the inheritance ground.'
'Yet, where is Niki, or whoever it is right now, then?'
I was alone, stuck in this labyrinth, the towering walls of the puzzle looming over my head as they reached towards the perceived "sky" above me, completely gray whilst shining the minimal amount of light for one to think that it was daytime.

Yes, a maze, one that I probably had to escape from with my life or something.
Now, let me explain what I thought was the reason that I had blacked out and found myself here, in the inheritance ground of the Endendyk Family.
Basically, due to the nature of the month, and how my "dad" had to find a way to entertain the guests, he had probably revoked the nature of our prior punishment into this one, a "gameshow" type format where we would have to survive or something whilst the guests in the wedding bet on our lives and paid money to make our lives harder.
Well, the only reason I could make such a detailed guess was because my "dad", in the novel, had actually utilized this one method once, to punish a whole group of people, including one particular mob, around this time actually, as he made millions of gold coins off the death of the participants.
This part of the story had really struck me in particular, as the novel has transitioned to this random mob's POV for a whole 40 chapters only for the mob to die in the end, just a second before the Eve in the novel had burst in, trying to save all the "players".
None had survived the ordeal for long enough so that Eve could save them.
It was all so that Eve could have some mental development, learning that she couldn't always win, and, in the end, Eve had renounced her connection with the Endendyk family before completely devoting herself to the Church.
But, that was a story for another time, I had to first worry about surviving, because, if my guesses were correct, it meant that I truly had a huge advantage when it came to this "roadblock" that blocked my path.
After all, I mean, I hadn't actually used my knowledge of the novel that much yet, but, this was the perfect time to use my future knowledge to the fullest, as this event was oddly happening at the same time it happened in the book.
I had originally thought that I wouldn't have been able to use my future knowledge due to the fact that I had been making butterflies since I was born and didn't become an asshole, so I thought the entire future had been changed beyond my knowledge.
But obviously, this wasn't the case.
'Wait a second...'
A thought suddenly occurred to me.
'If this is the same... could other things still be the same?'
I was a reader reincarnated into a novel they had read after all, if I wasn't given any chance to use my future knowledge, would this actually be a novel in that genre?
Wait, what did i just say?
...disregarding that, I started running, as I traced my left hand along the left wall of the labyrinth.
'My knowledge is finally showing its usefulness!'
Grinning widely, I couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"HAHAHAHA!"
This would be fun...
...for me that is.
