Meng Chongguang held Xu Xingzhi in his arms, just like he was embracing his whole world.

Yet, before he could make the next move, he heard Zhou Beinan’s anxious voice faintly outside the cave: “Xingzhi!! Xu Xingzhi!! Where are you? Just answer if you can hear me!”

Meng Chongguang: “. . .”

Xu Xingzhi’s ears twitched slightly, as if he picked up on it then hummed a few dampened syllables in a muffled voice.

How could Meng Chongguang be willing to stop his chopsticks at this time and give up the delectable meal upon his plate that was merely a mouthful away. He clamped down on Xu Xingzhi’s supple waist and rolled towards the interior of the cave with a gululu.

However, this disturbance roused Xu Xingzhi and made him regain some lucidity: “En. . .”

Meng Chongguang didn’t notice the abnormality just yet and emanated a low purr like a kitten acting coquettishly as he leaned on Xu Xingzhi’s chest, fiddling with the small, shallow gap of the other’s clothes using the tip of his flexible and prickly soft tongue.

How could Xu Xingzhi, who was still at such an energetic age, be able to stand this, thus he kicked Meng Chongguang off with two or three kicks and didn’t even dare look at Meng Chongguang in the face. Opening the storage ring that he wore on his left hand, he took out a set of his own clothes and tossed them blindly behind him as he stumbled over his words: “Chongguang, clothes. . . . Ke, put on some clothes.”

He wanted to get up, but when he bent his legs, he accidentally clamped down on his erection and felt so uncomfortable that sweat instantly dripped down. He supported himself against the rocky walls with a solitary elbow and spent a long time trying to recuperate as he forcibly drove out all the lascivious energy running rampant through his meridians and also forced the unique alluring scent of the serpent clan that emanated in the cave to retreat into the depths of the cavern.

However, his body still reacted and to easily suppress it wasn’t such a simple matter. Xu Xingzhi resisted the urge to relieve it directly with his hand and asked in a trembling voice: “Chongguang, how are you? This place. . .”

Before he could finish speaking, a warm embrace rushed up from behind, folding Xu Xingzhi tightly within.

The wide and dry cloak was pulled apart and enveloped the both of them from the back as a mouthful of fine teeth nibbled upwards from Xu Xingzhi’s earlobe bit by bit, climbing up until it finally bit the tip of his ear.

And besides that outer robe, Meng Chongguang wasn’t wearing anything else.

Xu Xingzhi only felt that the back of his waist was extremely hot as his face turned green: “Chongguang, get down.”

“I won’t.” Meng Chongguang whispered, “No.”

Xu Xingzhi persuaded patiently: “Be obedient, get off and put on your clothes.”

Meng Chongguang seemed determined to go against Xu Xingzhi this time: “Not wearing.”

After he finished, he even shifted his waist and muttered, blowing the faint amorous fragrance into Xu Xingzhi’s ear: “Don’t you want it, Shixiong? En?”

Xu Xingzhi’s face was all red: “Don’t make a fuss!”

“. . . Shixiong actually wants to hide.” Meng Chongguang’s eyes fluttered and he smiled wickedly, licking the fine teeth marks left behind on the other’s outer ear. His slender fingertips inched forward until they reached Xu Xingzhi’s face then they slid across his straight yet slightly curved nose, stroking it down the middle before it pressed down on the plump portion of the upper lip. After the soft bump in the middle was briefly depressed, it was released from underneath his fingertips, “. . . Is Shixiong scared of me, or afraid of pain?”

Xu Xingzhi was so tormented by the lick that his whole body was on fire: “Meng Chongguang! Don’t start trouble ah. Put on your pants and I will help you guide your meridians. . .”

“I won’t wear it.” Meng Chongguang smiled and kissed him on the back of the neck, “I’ve worn Shixiong’s pants before, they’re too small, way too tight.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . .”

Meng Chongguang still wanted to say something, but Xu Xingzhi gripped the other’s waist backhandedly, whirling the other before him and hit the acupuncture point below the other’s scapula with his finger precisely.

Meng Chongguang’s waist suddenly softened and his eyes widened considerably.

His demonic appearance was already withdrawn and his meridians returned to normal. In this sort of situation, he wasn’t Xu Xingzhi’s opponent at all.

Xu Xingzhi licked his lips, recalling Meng Chongguang’s actions of rubbing and teasing just now, the place where he licked felt as if it was ravaged by flames: “Brat, you’ve grown some guts haven’t you?”

As soon as Meng Chongguang and Xu Xingzhi faced each other, the arrogance disappeared immediately and the corner of his eyes drooped in grievance, looking quite like a kicked puppy who was robbed of its food.

“Shixiong. . .”

His pretty face was pale and he looked very pitiful: “I feel uncomfortable. . .”

Xu Xingzhi had always been someone who was open to persuasion, but not weak to coercion. When Meng Chongguang looked at him like this, his heart couldn’t help but soften up first: “If you’re uncomfortable, then say it clearly, what are you randomly groping for? Lie down obediently and Shixiong will help you drive out this wicked energy for you.”

Regardless of Meng Chongguang’s wriggling and resistance, he lifted the other’s clothes to take a better look, and couldn’t help but turn pale with shock: “How did this happen?”

Meng Chongguang didn’t have to go through the tribulation, so the heavenly lightning wouldn’t have the effect of baptizing his pores and refashioning his meridians for him, rather it would only cause true wounds on his body.

Meng Chongguang didn’t even blink: “Shixiong was suffering, how could I not be by your side?”

“Ridiculous!” The color of Xu Xingzhi’s face changed suddenly, reprimanding, “How can matters regarding life be considered trifling?! Who did you learn this from?”

Meng Chongguang shrunk his neck: “I learned it from Shixiong.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . .”

Meng Chongguang blurted without thinking: “Actually, I was only hit by the aftershocks. Shixiong hid me in this cave and bore the heavenly lightning for me outside. Shixiong is the one who suffered the most.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . . Is that so?”

He had no memory of what happened after he fell into the forest on the mountain and when he woke up, all his scars and wounds were already all gone.

He petted Meng Chongguang, who was acting like a kitten, and felt distressed about the fact that he had been involved: “Does it hurt?”

“. . . Stiff.”

“. . .”

Before Xu Xingzhi could push him away with a cold face, Meng Chongguang embraced his neck tightly and rubbed against it, tickling him.

“I don’t know how.” Meng Chongguang grumbled pitifully, “Shixiong, help me.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . . Meng Chongguang, how old are you now, and you’re telling me that you don’t know?”

Meng Chongguang felt particularly wronged: “Shixiong, you just pressed on my accupoint, I have no more strength.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . .”

Meng Chongguang’s tone became more and more aggrieved and his eyes glazed over: “I really don’t know how. . . It does happen when I wake up in the mornings, but it’s never felt as uncomfortable as it does now. . .”

Xu Xingzhi was stared at by those watery eyes until goosebumps rose all over his skin. Thinking that he was the one who caused the other to fall into this quagmire, he could only click his tongue and roll up his sleeves: “Be good. If you dare to move around randomly again, I won’t be able to control my strength.”

Yet as soon as he touched it, Xu Xingzhi’s expression changed.

On one hand, he had never helped others before, which made it really awkward, but considering that this child was the one he brought up himself, he didn’t feel so resistant to it anymore.

On the other hand, he realized that Meng Chongguang really wasn’t being a braggart.

. . . His own underpants may indeed be a little too small for him.

Xu Xingzhi originally thought that it would only be the matter of a swift jerk, yet he didn’t expect that he persisted until his wrists were sore and still wasn’t able to come up with any results.

Even his sweat was coming down, but Meng Chongguang only blinked at him innocently and questioned in a low voice: “Shixiong, could it be that you don’t know how to do it ah.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . .” F*ck, just cut it off and be done with it.

As soon as his words fell, Meng Chongguang actually made his way to slide underneath Xu Xingzhi’s robes.

Xu Xingzhi slapped his hand away: “. . . What are you doing?”

“Isn’t Shixiong uncomfortable?” Meng Chongguang’s eyes were clear and limpid, “Shixiong is helping me, I can also help Shixiong ah.”

“. . . Didn’t you tell me you didn’t know how?”

Meng Chongguang stated sincerely: “I will learn from Shixiong in real time.”

Xu Xingzhi: “. . . Meng Chongguang, it would be great if you could be so studious towards learning spiritual techniques.”

Meng Chongguang exaggeratedly batted his eyes with a devious look as if he couldn’t understand a single word the other was saying.

Xu Xingzhi resolutely rejected Meng Chongguang’s offer and devoted himself to serving the little ancestor. After an unknown amount of time had passed, Meng Chongguang gritted his teeth, stretched his slender neck upwards, and let out a bashful hum.

This sound was terribly seductive, as if one’s earlobe was swiped by a furry cat paw. Xu Xingzhi also couldn’t hold back and his tense body trembled twice.

After this episode was over, he went to change his clothes behind the stones on the side with a dark face.

Blocked by the rocks, Meng Chongguang could only see half of the other’s slender and spotless calf.

Thinking of the various things just now, he felt unresigned to death and hammered the ground in a fit.

After the two had finished cleaning themselves up, Xu Xingzhi and Meng Chongguang exited the cave.

The two of them didn’t converse much along the way. Xu Xingzhi felt that it was embarrassing, and Meng Chongguang also had his head lowered the entire time. Who knew what he was thinking, but he was probably also shy.

Then, not too far from the cave, they caught sight of Zhou Beinan coming out of the dense woods with red eyes while Qu Chi trailed behind him. The area below his eyes were bruised from exhaustion, however he was still persistently persuading Zhou Beinan gently about something.

Bumping into each other head-on, both sides froze abruptly.

Zhou Beinan was stunned for about three seconds before the scarlet in his eyes became richer. He threw the steel-forged long spear in his hands at Qu Chi, strode forward, lifted his hand and punched Xu Xingzhi directly in the face.

Xu Xingzhi didn’t try to block him, allowing Zhou Beinan to knock him down and then straddle him as the other continued to rain down punches.

Zhou Beinan was about to lose it. Fist after fist struck Xu Xingzhi in the face, back, and shoulders: “I’ll f*cking beat you to death! Xu Xingzhi, you f *cking b *stard!!”

Xu Xingzhi directed a wide smile at him while he pulled his lips back in pain: “Ai, ai, alright, that’s enough already. Aren’t I still alive after all ne.”

Zhou Beinan gritted his teeth: “You just decided to overcome the tribulation and you really did it, didn’t you, you’ve become really capable haven’t you, ah! Hah?! Why didn’t you just get struck to death by the lightning ah?!”

Qu Chi used the shaft of the spear to restrain Zhou Beinan, who was livid, and dragged him backwards. Zhou Beinan felt like it wasn’t enough and supplemented with a kick to Xu Xingzhi’s lower back.

Qu Chi: “Beinan, cease your rage, Beinan! Xingzhi is fine which means that he’s already obtained the physique of a Nascent Soul practitioner. It’s definitely a cause for celebration, isn’t that good news?”

“Great my ass! What’s wrong with letting me thrash him a couple times since he’s at the Nascent Soul realm anyway? Ah? Is there anything wrong with that?!”

Xu Xingzhi rubbed his shoulders as he climbed to his feet: “Heavens, what is the matter here? To be so enraged?”

Qu Chi helplessly explained in a warm and low voice: “He and Xuechen have been looking for you for several hours. Xuechen physically couldn’t continue anymore, so he could only go back to Shangfengguan to rest first. As for him, he thought that you didn’t make it and had even shed some tears for a while just now.”

“Cried, my ass!” Zhou Beinan hollered stiffly, “Xu Xingzhi, get the f*ck over here, see if I don’t pummel you to death.”

While continuing his attempt to appease Zhou Beinan who still hadn’t extinguished his ire, Qu Chi activated the messaging talisman.

The news that Xu Xingzhi was safe and sound spread quickly.

Guangfu-jun was the first to rush to Xu Xingzhi’s side and when he found that the other was still intact and unharmed, his tense face finally relaxed slightly: “All is well?”

Xu Xingzhi was still obedient and respectful before Guangfu-jun: “Indeed, Shishu.”

It was rare for Guangfu-jun to be so lenient with him, reaching out to pat his lower back reassuringly: “Good, it’s great that you are fine.”

Then as if he was reminded that the other’s lower back was injured, Guangfu-jun’s hand froze for a moment. Xu Xingzhi didn’t mind and cleared away his apprehensions straightforwardly: “Shishu, it’s all right, it’s all healed la.”

Guangfu-jun coughed lightly: “Take the punishment this time as a lesson. You need to have better self-discipline in the future, don’t fraternize with those people aga. . .”

Before his words were finished, a light fragrance rushed towards Xu Xingzhi’s face and then someone lunged over directly, hanging onto Xu Xingzhi’s arm: “Shixiong!”

Yuan Ruzhou, with teary eyes and slightly disheveled bangs looked much more charming than in the past. Her radiant face, now streaked with crisscrossing tear stains, really made one feel distressed in their heart.

Xu Xingzhi couldn’t help but soften up as he pinned Yuan Ruzhou’s stray strands of hair dangling before her eyes back behind her ears and let out a deep, resigned sigh: “Ze, God really favors Yuan-shimei ah, although Yuan-shimei has wept into such a state, she’s still a little beauty.”

Yuan Ruzhou was cheered up at once: “Xu-shixiong! How could you. . . You made me worry for so long. . .”

“Shixiong was wrong, very wrong.” Xu Xingzhi smiled and calmly pulled his arm out of Yuan Ruzhou’s arms, “Whatever rare medicinal pellet you want when we go back, just ask Shixiong for it, Shixiong will procure any one of them for you.”

The joy of being able to surmount the tribulation befuddled Yuan Ruzhou’s mind. She looped her arms around Xu Xingzhi’s neck and uttered in a quiet voice: “Shixiong, I don’t want anything, I just want you to be well.”

And it was at this very moment that Xu Xingzhi suddenly felt an abnormality.

He glanced over Yuan Ruzhou’s shoulder and saw Xu Pingsheng standing not too far away, silently keeping his eyes on Yuan Ruzhou’s slender back.

After discovering Xu Xingzhi’s gaze, Xu Pingsheng swiveled around, and a glint of something flashed in the other’s eyes that made Xu Xingzhi feel frightened.

Xu Xingzhi’s heart sank harshly.

At this time, Guangfu-jun called out in a deep voice: “Ruzhou.”

Yuan Ruzhou came back to her senses. Realizing that she had lost her composure, a slight blush colored her face and she instantly let go.

Noticing that the atmosphere was a bit strange, Qu Chi took the initiative to speak out and applauded warmly: “This is the second Nascent Soul stage cultivator of Fengling Mountain. Guangfu-jun, congratulations.”

Before Guangfu-jun could answer, an animated voice descended from the sky above the bunch: “Worthy of commendation indeed.”

Xu Xingzhi looked up, unsurprised: “. . . Shifu?”

Many years have passed and Qingjing-jun still looked like a handsome beau, with moist eyes, lips slightly upturned at the corners, and adding on the white garments clothing his body, his temperament was like nine layers of pure snow. He stretched out his hand towards Xu Xingzhi with a smile gracing his face: “Xingzhi, come here.”

Guangfu-jun was extremely taken aback: “Shixiong, you’ve exited seclusion?”

Qingjing-jun smiled shallowly: “When I was in the middle of enlightenment, I noticed that there were strange celestial phenomena and realized that a new cultivator friend was overcoming the tribulation so I came to take a look.”

“You. . .” Guangfu-jun came to his senses abruptly and his expression that had originally eased up from anger instantly became ugly again, “ You have retreated for three months and made all the necessary preparations, just for the sake of transcending the Nascent Soul physique to enter the realm of Divine Transformation! Why would you, just for his sake. . .”

“I couldn’t sit still either way with my heart weighed down with concerns. For me to re-enter enlightenment would just be a waste of time, what would be the use.” Qingjing-jun elucidated openly, “It’s meaningless to become divinity. Xingzhi, let’s be off, we’ll go have a drink.”

Xu Xingzhi bowed to the ashen-faced Guangfu-jun, then leapt over and landed upon Qingjing-jun’s personal blade “Yuanjun” and his line of sight was unconsciously directed downwards at the same time—

Meng Chongguang was gazing up at him with reluctance, while Jiu Zhideng stood alone in the distance, a hand placed on a tree that was struck by the lightning and split in half, watching him quietly, his eyes full of unrelenting tenderness and helplessness.

Xu Xingzhi thought of how the other was pinned on the ground and struggled in pain earlier prior to him losing consciousness and his heart softened. Whispering a few words to Qingjing-jun, he hopped off and dropped straight down before Jiu Zhideng.

Jiu Zhideng didn’t expect Xu Xingzhi to respond to the plea in his eyes, but when the faint fragrance belonging to Xu Xingzhi really approached him, he immediately panicked and wanted to avoid the other’s gaze.

When he was enfolded into an embrace surrounded by an aloof fragrance, he was already in a daze and his lips trembled slightly.

“Xiao-Deng, Shixiong is already fine.” Xu Xingzhi hugged the other around the neck and whispered into his ear so that Guangfu-jun wouldn’t be able to pick up on his words, “Don’t feel pained. Tonight after we return to the sect, Shixiong will bring you delicious food to eat.”

The author has something to say:

Guang-mei (wailing while pounding on the ground): I didn’t get to eat it! Didn’t get to eat it at all!!!

Jiu-mei: Hug. . . Got to cuddle. Happy.

Translator’s Note: long time no see! I apologize for the long radio silence. I want to say that I’ve been trying to get a backlog of chapters so the upload speed isn’t so delayed, but to be honest it’s because a lot of stuff has been happening in RL and at work so I’ve had to cut down my translating hours. I’m trying to get back on track as I’ve gotten certain things under control now and/or know which direction I will be going in to deal with it, but to be honest a lot still needs to be done. Other thing is that our lovely editor teaff and my schedules haven’t been matching up lately. So I am very sorry, but I swear I will complete this translation, not abandon it, and hope that you all will continue reading it and show your continued support to the author as well as this translation despite the slow pace (I hope to do more regular releases soon), thank you and have a happy and healthy (lunar) New Year!
