Ch 14 - Second Generation Ancestor x Illegitimate Child: Where’s Your Mind At?
After Lin Sui’s words fell, the inside of the room became quiet enough to hear a pin drop, and no one dared answer.
Seeing him advancing towards the door, everyone moved aside to make way for him, watching with bated breath as he left.
Yan Qin followed behind him, his heart beating violently inside his chest.
The rain outside the house was very strong, filling the surrounding air with so much steam it seemed it would drown the city.
The stream of water pooling on the ground was like a mirror, reflecting the young man’s figure.
Yan Qin opened an umbrella for Lin Sui, not worrying at all about getting soaked himself.
The water surface was broken as expensive leather shoes stepped through it, reflecting heaven and earth as it wavered.
The car door closed, then the Maybach’s engine started and it quickly disappeared from sight.
Song Yunqing stood on the second floor, revealing an almost invisible smile. This matter was even more interesting than he’d imagined, and as for his bet with Lin Sui, he also had the faint feeling that perhaps he was going to lose, so he had already began to wonder what Lin Sui would put forward as his request.
The Maybach arrived at the garage, and Lin Sui walked straight to the second floor.
Lin Sui had told the servants to prepare hot water while he was on the road, since the fabric still carried a damp feeling because of Yan Qin, and it wasn’t too comfortable.
Yan Qin followed Lin Sui closely, all the way to the bathroom.
When Yan Qin became aware of the situation, he subconsciously wanted to retreat, but before he could begin taking a step another brazen thought stopped him, rooting the soles of his feet to the ground and preventing him from moving.
The dog that received the ruler’s favour and the believer who obtained the god’s grace had the same almost pridefully arrogant1 thoughts, wanting even more space in their Master’s domain.
The tip of Yan Qin’s tongue was sweet as he thought, Lin Sui had not denied Yan Zhou’s words, so he tacitly agreed.
No matter what the next instructions were, he would happily carry them out.
“Still not getting out?”
Lin Sui raised his eyebrows as he looked at Yan Qin. Two of his buttons were undone, and under the light of the bathroom, his fine black shirt contrasted against his chest, giving it an increasingly white lustre.
