“You’re being selfish again ……!”

When she told Randall about McKeel, he was still in a foul mood.

But this shouldn’t have “tarnished the Duke of Voltio reputation” in any way. Just a magic show with a nice opera actor. By the way, Isolte was so excited that she almost had a nosebleed and collapsed from over-excitement.

I secretly asked Cedric, a member of the service staff, to let Isolte sit near McKeel at the opera. Isolte has always been so kind to me, and I haven’t been able to repay the kindness, so at least I should be able to let her have this much fun.

Randall seemed offended, but since Sophia had already willingly agreed to Mckeel, he finally sighed and agreed. Sophia secretly felt a little bit like she had won over Randall, and she was happy.

“It’s not every day you get to know an actor so well,” Kyle said and got a glare from Randall.

“Maybe it’s better than someone like you, who sticks around with a look on your face like it’s the norm” He said

“You can’t say that, can you? I’m lending you half my bed, It’s alright if I kick you out of the room..”

Randall was muffled.

Kyle chuckled in return and then stopped to look at the sapphire blue dress Sophia was wearing.

“You look even more beautiful today, Sophia. Of course, you’re always beautiful. I wonder if that man there with the moody face gave you a proper compliment?”

Sophia giggled. There was no way Randall would have complimented Sophia’s outfit. Sophia tried to change the subject softly, but Isolte, who had collapsed, woke up and joined the conversation. “No! We haven’t received it yet! Today, Mistress is as beautiful as a goddess in the sea. Master should cultivate a better sense of beauty!”

“Well, that shouldn’t be the case. She is so beautiful. If it were me, I would kneel down and praise her so much that Sophia would get tired of it.”

“A gentleman’s mirror, sir!”

“………”

Voila. Randall’s grumpiness parometer was rising and rising, and it was about to swing out of control. Sophia was on edge, but Kyle was ready to play with Randall, not to mention Isolte.

When Sophia looked to Orion for help, she replied in a disappointed tone “You don’t have any special skills, do you?”

Sophia did not understand what Orion meant.

The magic show was just as enjoyable as McKeel had said it would be.

The show was performed by five service staff in turn, and Sofia was surprised to find Cedric among them.

Today Cedric had his habitually stroked black hair and was wearing a tailcoat and a fancy hat. He gave Sofia a small smile when their eyes met, and she responded with a small wave back.

Cedric was the last of the five. The rest of the service staff performed magic tricks, such as making water disappear and pulling out a pigeon from nothing, which Sophia had seen on TV in a previous life. It seems that magic is basically the same in other worlds.

When the fourth person left and Cedric came out on the stage, he prepared a large box in front of him.

He said, “Now I will show you how I will instantly obliterate anyone who enters this box. I will choose one person from the audience to be inside this box, so please If you are chosen, please go to the stage immediately. ”

Cedric stepped down from the podium once he said that. Slowly moving his gaze from side to side, he walked among the audience and eventually came to the table where Sophia and her friends were seated.

“If you don’t mind, Miss Sophia, would you please come up to the podium? Would you like to come up to the podium?”

“What?” Sophia was surprised, not expecting to be asked, when Randall interrupted from next to her. “I’m sorry, but I refuse.”

“………”

Sophia was a little disappointed that Randall had taken the liberty of saying no, but perhaps it would fall under the category of “mud to the Dukes of Voltio reputation” by Randall’s measure. While she was still disappointed, McKeel, who was sitting at the same table, laughed and said, “Well, I’ll run for the position instead.”

“That’s ……, if it’s alright with you, Monsieur McKeel.”

He did not expect the actor to volunteer to come up the podium. Cedric blinked his eyes in surprise, and when McKeel stood up, he hurriedly began to introduce him.

“Ladies and gentlemen! It has been decided that the person who will be in the box is Mr. McKeel here. I know many of you were at the opera last night, and yes, this is the same Mr. McKeel who played Raffel. Please give a big round of applause, ladies and gentlemen.”

McKeel raised his hand to answer the applause with a wry smile as he was introduced in an exaggerated manner. He is indeed an actor. He is used to being the center of attention.

Cédric went up on the stage with McKeel and gave some instructions to McKeel in a whisper that the audience could not hear.

“After a count of three, I’m going to stick this big sword in the box. Three sowrds! What would happen if Master McKeel remained in the box ……, do you understand?”

Cedric intentionally made a scary voice to frighten the audience, and walked from one end of the platform to the other with the big sword to show it off.

“Then, here we go. Three, two, one. I’ll stab !”

Cedric declared, thrusting the first sword into the center of the box. He stabbed the second and third sword so that they crossed over the first.

Sophia was flabbergasted, even though she knew that McKeel was not in the box anymore. If the magic had failed, he would have three swords stuck in McKeel’s body.

Sophia seemed to have clenched her fists unconsciously. She suddenly felt something warm and looked to the side to see Randall’s hand on top of her fist. His eyes were still on the podium and he was not looking at Sophia, but he must have been concerned for her, who was holding her breath.

Sophia was so pleased that her face almost beamed.

On the platform, Cedric was in the process of pulling out the swords he had thrust. He pulled out all three swords and released them to the floor with a clang.

“From the sound of it, those swords aren’t real.”

Kyle muttered from next door. She looks to the side and sees him smiling at her.

“The sword is a fake, and there doesn’t seem to be any blood on it, so I think Mr. McKeel will be fine.”

Sophia was relieved. Even though she knew this, she still felt uneasy.

Cedric opened the lid of the box from which he had pulled out the sword and showed it to her. Inside, there was no sign of McKeel, who was surely inside, and the audience groaned and applauded.

Sophia clapped enthusiastically, too, but then she wondered where McKeel had gone.

Suddenly, she heard the door behind her open and turned to see McKeel standing there, waving his hand.

McKeel, who had been in a box on the stage, appeared from the entrance behind him, and the audience was even more excited.

When McKeel returned to his seat, Sophia asked excitedly, “Mr. McKeel! What in the world is going on?”

“That’s right. Hmm … Is the magic skill a secret of Cedric?

McKeel gave a small, annoyed smile, then turned his attention to Cedric, who was still cheering on the podium.

She didn’t know why but she felt that McKeel’s gaze on Cedric was somewhat stern, and she gave a small twist of her head.
