The Villainess is Three and a Half Years Old Chapter 14.2
unedited
“If Yaya’s scared of them, then just bring them out. Do you need Brother to go get them for you?”
“Nope,” Ye Ya rejected him without hesitation, “Brother has class tomorrow. Yaya will get it herself.”
She hung up and brought up the courage to take her arms out of the blankets, quickly grabbing her kitten lamp into her blanket. Ye Ya pressed the on button; the bringtenling lamp relaxed her and she took a deep breath. She patted herself on the chest and slowly lowered her blankets so her head came out. After confirming that the two dolls weren’t moving, she fought her fears and left her blanket.
She got off the bed without her shoes, grabbed the doll as big as she, and, with some difficulties, dragged it outside.
*crack*
After opening the door to the secret room, Ye Ya put the big bear in.
Ye Ziyu was fast asleep on his bed, with no sign of being disturbed by the noise.
Ye Ya ran back as lightly as possible, and dragged the second bear outside as well.
After finishing all these, Ye Ya finally got back onto the bed.
Wait no.
What if the big bears ate little Ziyu?
Ye Ya got more unsettled the more she thought about it. She went to the secret room again and brought the two big bears downstairs, putting them right at the center of the entrance.
“The door is over there. If you want to leave, just go that way.” Ye Ya went down in front of the bears and exhorted them with great sincerity. She was a bit afraid that the bears might trip walking around in the night, so after much thought, she went back to the secret room and brought down her kitty lamp, opened it, and put it in front of the bears.
The lamp emitted an orange, warm light onto the bears’ faces, yet it somehow made the bears look rather horrifying.
Ye Ya backed up a bit, and quickly ran back to the bedroom.
“Mother…”
“Mother, don't leave.”
“Mother…”
The moonlight outside was calm like water, but Ziyu on the bed was flipping over and over, obviously disturbed. He was talking in his dreams, crying and speaking nonsense. Ye Ya looked at him, then she slowly walked over.
“Please don’t leave.”
He was crying. His face was covered with tears.
Ye Ya bit her finger, kicked her tiny legs, and got up the bed. She tucked Ziyu back into the blankets he kicked away, her chubby hands gently tapping on his belly. In a singsong manner she recited, “Here goes the bamboo clapper ooh~ a little rhyme for me and not for others, in a nearby village there's a blooming flower, and that flower is none other than a carnivorous flower~ I’m pretty, unique, and picky; I love eating and killing, and trickery.
Ye Ya continued to sing with her sleepy voice, “The guy in this family is useless, besides cooking, he is juiceless. In the morning he made smashed cucumber salad, steamed cucumber, and cucumber mixed with bitter melon. But I want to eat sweet popping loofah, stringy brains, and your mother’s watermelon…”
Every time Ye Ya couldn’t sleep, her mother would sing her lullabies. They were very soothing. Ye Ya enjoyed them a lot.
She didn’t know why, but Mother would always get lectured by Father; she didn’t know why Father would get hit by Mother every time he lectured her, and then they would end up kissing, and then they’d go back to their room, leaving her by herself.
So hungry.
Ye Ya touched her stomach. She wanted to eat the big watermelons too.
Ye Ya couldn’t stop yawning. Her eyelids were heavy and her head dropping. Just when she was about to fall asleep, a sudden flash of light from the window and the vague sound of the car engine woke her up with chills. She jumped down the bed, hid herself in the secret room, and got inside the blanket, shivering with fear into a ball.
The Ye mansion at midnight appeared extremely quiet.
Ye Linchuan had been going around meetings and feasts for a few weeks straight. He was very tired, and tonight, he just wanted to take a hot shower and have an undisturbed night.
With his house door right in front, Ye Linchuan took a deep breath and calmly opened the door…
*creak—*
A string of light emerged through the door crack.
He saw two giant bears as tall as a human placed side by side, their glass-bead eyes glancing at Ye Linchuan without blinding. Their lips were split, making it seem like they were smiling. The kitten lamp is out of battery. After two final flashes, it completely went out. The only things left in the cold night were the four eyeballs gleaming ghostly under the moonlight.
Ye Linchuan jumped, adrenaline rushing through his entire system.
The heck—
Which little brat did this?!
Ye Linchuan gradually got out of the shock and walked in the door. He opened the light at the entrance, stooped to pick up the bears, and brought them to the side.
The bear looked a bit familiar…
Ye Linchuan gave it a closer look. Of course it looks familiar: it’s the ones he bought for Ye Ziyu a few months ago.
So did Ye Ziyu put the bears here to scare him off just because he was unhappy his father broke the promise?
Ye Linchuan laughed from the childish act.
His long fingers let loose his tie. He carelessly hung up his suit, rolled up his cuffs, and walked up the stairs
The children are all asleep; the house is quiet.
Ye Linchuan pushed open Ziyu’s door and tip-toed in.
The child on the bed was calmly asleep, no longer disturbed by nightmares.
He sat on the side of the bed, his big hands gently stroked over his son’s smooth hair. After a while of quietly sitting, Ye Linchuan tucked him in and was ready to leave.
But just then, a tiny sound popped in his ears.
Puff——
Ye Linchuan frowned and stopped his steps.
Another one.
Puff———
Someone’s farting
Ye Linchuan turned around, his gaze fixed upon the direction the sound was coming from.
