The Villainess is Three and a Half Years Old Chapter 15.2
unedited
Ye Linchuan had secretly seen Yu Yan’s research material.
There was something really weird in Ye Ya’s DNA. He bribed some researchers and found out that they extracted a genius murderer’s genes and, using the new technique to find a fitting target in Ye Ya’s DNA, combined the two genes, creating the Ye Ya today. However, this sort of technique has a severe side effect: if lucky, the clone could live until it’s eighteen years old; if not, it can barely live past five.
Yu Yan had no idea. It had been too late when she found out.
When she was sick, she had asked him: Will their daughter become a murderer, or will a murderer become their daughter.
After Xu Yan’s death, the investigators responsible for clones and android technology took notice of this experiment, so the experiment was immediately stopped and all the evidence destroyed. The teacher and everyone else escaped to other countries. Afterwards, Ye Lingchuan took Ye Ya to another gene research institute in hope to secretly get rid of her. Because there was no trace of any evidence, the investigators ended their investigation.
Ye Linchuan didn’t understand: how did the damned come back to life?
“It’s too late now. I’ll tell someone to get her away tomorrow. I will not blame you this time, but you are not to do it again.” Ye Linchuan waved his hands dismissively, “Go back to bed.”
He didn’t move. His hands quietly formed into fists.
Ye Qinghe bit his lips and brought up the courage to look at his father, “Ye Ya is a life. This is murder.”
Ye Linchuan laughed again, “murder? Yes, this is murder.” He admitted, “I did all of this for your mother’s honor. Ye Ya’s existence will ruin and take away all of your mother’s honor. You will also be outcast because of her. You are a scientist’s son. You should know that the law forbids clone experiments, and that child is the evidence.”
After technology advanced, many kinds of new tech were born, some of which include clone and android research.
These new researches had destroyed social order, so the law officially forbade clones and androids experiments, and created related departments.
If the world ever found out that scientists were using clones to make benefits, that would be the ugliest news.
At that time Yu Yan had just passed away. Ye Linchuan would never allow her body to be humiliated by millions, so he used money to cover her crime, giving her the chance to Rest In Peace as the heroic science researcher for humanity.
Ye Qinghe didn’t want to back down, “But… Mother created Yaya.”
“Because she’s stupid.” Ye Linchuan stopped him, “So the ones alive cannot be stupid.”
He was having a severe headache. He no longer wanted to speak another word.
“Leave. We’ll talk about the rest tomorrow.”
“Father…”
“Get out,” Ye Linchuan sounded more serious, “If you speak again, I will tell them to send her away right now.”
Ye Qinghe bit his lips and backed out of the study unsatisfied.
Ye Ya ran out of the bedroom again. She obediently sat on the stairs, waiting for him.
“Brother,” The little girl lifted her face, greeting him with a pampered voice.
Ye Qinghe’s nose began to sore. He couldn’t help but cry like a baby.
“Did Father yell at you?” Ye Ya got up from the floor and walked toward him, giving him a tight hug. “Brother, don’t cry~”
Ye Qinghe wiped away his tears, bent down, and lifted her up in a hug. He was still sobbing a bit, “You want to sleep with Brother today?”
Ye Ya nodded, but then shook her head.
“You don’t want to?”
Ye Ya puffed up her cheeks and whispered, “… Yaya’s butt will leak air.”
Ye Qinghe was confused, then he laughed with realization, “Does Yaya mean farting?”
She shyly bit her finger, her pale face completely red from embarrassment.
“That’s fine. Yaya probably caught a cold walking barefoot on the ground. You have to tell Brother if you have a stomachache, okay?”
Ye Ya nodded, yawned like a kitten, and closed her eyes leaning on Ye Qinghe’s shoulder.
He gently put Ye Ya in his bed and tucked her in, and then he got onto the bed as well.
The night was quiet, but Ye Qinghe had no means to sleep.
He stared at the ceiling, his gaze dazzled.
Ye Qinghe didn’t understand, how come adults can determine what’s right and wrong, but children cannot?
They are the creator of life, but also the destroyer of life.
They have their own set of theories. The children cannot question, only obey.
“Brother…”
He heard the weak little voice next to him. Ye Ya was still awake.
Ye Qinghe turned toward her, carelessly patting her, “Why is Yaya still awake?”
“Father has turned so angry…” She murmured in complaints, but did not blame, “Is it because he couldn’t find Mother?”
Ye Qinghe forced a smile, “Yeah. Because he couldn't find Mother…”
“I thought so.” Ye Ya sounded more relaxed, “Because he couldn’t find Mother, and because he saw that Yaya suddenly grew hands. That’s why he was so angry.”
Her father and mother are like glue sticks toward each other. They’ll be sad and sigh for a long time if they can't see each other.
Ye Ya thought: it was definitely because her four-leaf clover father missed her corpse flower mother.
It’s fine. She would finish the job and find Mother!!
Ye Ya thought it through, and had become tired. She rubbed her eyes and fell asleep.
Ye Ya didn’t sleep for long. She was woken up before the sun was even out.
She was not yet fully awakened before hearing Ye Qinghe whisper to her, “Yaya, Yaya, wake up. We are about to leave.”
