The Villainess is Three and a Half Years Old Chapter 17.1
unedited
It’s almost time for school. Shen Zhou first took Shen Ran onto the bus to preschool, and then pulled out the pink electric bike that he won in a lottery.
Shen Zhou sat on it, and threw Ye Qinghe two helmets, “Get up.”
Ye Qinghe took the helmets, and was confused for a few seconds.
“Quickly, we’re going to be late.” Shen Zhou warned coldly.
Ye Qinghe finally realized, “The three of us are going to… go to school on this?”
“What else?” Shen Zhou frowned, “There’s no direct bus to school in my area.”
“…”
Though Shen Zhou looked pretty cool when he’s riding it, when it came to actually riding it himself, Ye Qinghe felt a bit unsafe…
Ye Qinghe frowned for quite a while, but there wasn’t really much that he could do. He put the helmet on Ye Ya’s head and brought her up to sit on the bike.
The helmet belonged to Shen Ran, so it was a bit big for Ye Ya. The helmet would fall and cover her view. She was caught in the middle, with Ye Qinghe at her back hugging her, and Shen Zhou in the front covering her from the rushing wind. She felt warm and safe.
The three sat and Shen Zhou turned the handlebar. The electric bike zoomed away like a strike of pink lightning.
Ye Ya quietly leaned in Ye Qinghe’s chest, her little hands held tightly onto Shen Ye’s clothes. In the dark, she heard a howling sound from the back. She moved her ears and said loudly, “Brother, there’s something following us!!”
Her voice was muted from the wind, but Ye Qinghe still heard her.
He glanced at his back, and was immediately stunned.
“Shen Zhou. Pol…police!” He was so nervous he stuttered. He pushed Zhou Shen’s shoulder in panic, “The police are behind us!”
Behind them, the police car followed closely, and even sounded the siren to get their attention.
Shen Zhou was calm despite the situation, and rode even faster.
The traffic police used their speaker, continuing to warn them.
The traffic light in front turned red. There’s no way to run.
Shen Zhou immediately braked, forcibly slowing the bike down.
The traffic police walked over.
“Get down.” He glanced over Shen Zhou and Ye Qinghe on the car, and saw Ye Ya sitting in between them, his expression instantly turned gloomy, “push the bike over.”
Ye Qinghe first helped Ye Ya down, then followed the officer to the side of the road.
Ye Ya’s face was still covered by the helmet; her helmet was shaking and bumping on her head like a spring-head doll.
The police couldn’t watch this anymore. He bent over and took off Ye Ya’s helmet. Her face appeared and the policeman was stunned.
She looked extremely pretty.
Her hair was curly with a tad bit of blond. Her bangs were messily stuck on her forehead, her lashes black and long, like two little fans protecting her two gleaming black pearls. Her skin was pale, yet her lips were reddish pink, elegant just like a doll’s. Ye Ya kept looking back at the camera behind him, curiosity filled her eyes.
“Brother, he’s shooting me.” Ye Ya pointed at the mister at the back holding up the camera, her childish voice was really cute.
Ye Qinghe just realized there was someone filming at the back, dazed, then asked honestly, “Are you filming a show?”
The police glanced at Ye Ya, his voice still harsh, “We are from the show ‘Dragon City Traffic.’ We are responsible for capturing people like you who do not follow traffic laws.”
In order to spread the importance of following traffic laws and to warn the citizens of the danger of not following the laws, the TV station and the traffic police department joined together to create this show. The show played every day for only ten minutes. The context was basically capturing people who ran red lights, drove without license, or drove with too many passengers or exceeded the speed limit.
The show had been playing for two years. They’ve seen wonders great and small, but it was the first time that they’d seen two children biking another child on an electric bike to school.
The police bent his back and faced Ye Ya, gently asking, “Tell mister, how old are you?”
Ye Ya was a bit scared of the camera on the back, so she hid behind Ye Qinghe, only leaving the camera the prideful back of her head. She answered in a serious but soft voice, “I’m a hundred!”
