The Villainess is Three and a Half Years Old Chapter 18.1
unedited
After a long wait, Ye Linchuan was finally here.
He was tall and his legs were long. His hair was as dark as ink and his pupils black. His jawline was sharp and clean, his face extremely handsome. Even from a distance, one can feel the tensioning atmosphere from him.
— an atmosphere filled with pressure, discomfort, and detachment.
“Hi. I’m Ye Qinghe’s father, Ye Linchuan,” He introduced himself first thing as he stepped inside.
Ye Linchuan’s name always appeared on various different finance shows. Even the traffic police responsible for this incident had brought the Ye family’s stock before, so he obviously recognized him as the famous Dragon City number one billionaire, and was so shocked he didn’t reply back.
Ye Qinghe held Ye Ya in his lap and didn’t say anything.
Ye Linchuan casually glanced at him, then back at the police, “My son has caused you trouble. I am deeply sorry.”
The officer finally got back to his senses, “It’s reasonable that children don’t behave properly sometimes, that’s why parents have the responsibility to teach them. Letting children this small on an electric bike is way too dangerous…”
The officer continued a long chain of lecturing.
Ye Linchuan quietly listened. In the corner of his eyes he peeked at Ye Ya resting in Ye Qinghe’s lap.
She stared at him, her gaze was clean and pure. She herself looked very cute and innocent.
After two seconds, the young girl drew a sweet smile on her clean face, her dimples slowly appearing on her cheeks.
Ye Linchuah frowned and moved his gaze elsewhere.
After lecturing, Ye Linchuan told his assistant to pay the fine, and also got Shen Zhou’s bike back. After dealing with everything, he led the three children out of the station.
Ye Linchuan’s car was parked in front of the station, but Ye Qinghe kept protecting Ye Ya and refused to go near it.
“Alright… then. I’m going to school with Shen Zhou,” Ye Qinghe murmured, picked Ye Ya up and was ready to walk away.
“Stop,” Ye Linchuan ordered emotionlessly.
He stopped his pace and his entire body went tense.
Ye Linchuan looked coldly at Shen Zhou behind him, “Thank you for taking care of Ye Qinghe. I will let my assistant drop you off at school.”
The assistant nodded, stopped a taxi, and said to Shen Zhou, “You may go, I’ll drop off your bike later.”
Shen Zhou didn’t move. He was still looking at Ye Qinghe.
“Get on,” Ye Linchuan opened the back door.
Ye Qinghe turned away, unwilling to submit.
Ye Qinghe repeated in a heavier tone, “I told you. Get. On.” The last two words were stressed slowly and harshly.
Ye Qinghe took a deep breath, turned around, and said to Shen Zhou, “Shen Zhou, you should go back for now. Sorry to bother you today.” He lifted Ye Ya into the car and heard the door being shut heavily. Ye Linchuan sat in the front.
The car drove smoothly. The father sat in front of the son, neither opened his mouth. In this cramped little area, the atmosphere was suffocating.
Ye Ya noticed this abnormal atmosphere and lay quietly in her brother’s laps. Swinging her left leg back and forth, she never took her pretty eyes off of Ye Linchuan.
The way she looked at Father was filled with love, fondness, and admiration.
But Ye Linchuan only felt annoyed. He glared back at her with no sense of compassion.
The little girl was not afraid, and smiled at him again.
Ye Linchuan had a sensation that he was beating his fist on a piece of cotton, it was not satisfying at all. Not only so, it made him even more annoyed.
They were home in an instant.
After they went inside, little Ziyu happily rushed downstairs. He was surprised but happy, “Brother you don’t have school today?!”
Ye Qinghe didn’t speak.
“Ye Ya do you want to come play with me? I have a lot of toys and they’re all better than your spouted dango!” He excitedly grabbed onto Ye Ya, ready to walk her up the stairs.
“Wait,” Ye Linchuan stopped him. “Ziyu, go play by yourself first. I need to talk to your brother. I’ll spend some time with you later, okay?”
His expression was serious. Ziyu didn’t dare to talk back. He let go of Ye Ya’s hand and returned to his room feeling a bit down.
After Ziyu left, Ye Linchuan looked back at the two standing in front of him.
Ye Qinghe sensed that Father was going to say something bad. He unconsciously tended up, pulling Ye Ya behind him to protect her.
“I already told my secretary to contact Dr. Zhao. If everything goes well, they will take her away tomorrow.”
Ye Linchuan was straightforward with his hurtful words. He was determined to get Ye Ya out of his house.
“That doctor is a bad person. Do you not care why Ye Ya was in there for two years? Do you not care at all what they did to Ye Ya?” Though Ye Qinghe was young, he could already see from various events that Ye Ya suffered a lot in the lab. In the worst possible scenario, they might’ve used clones as test subjects just like it showed in the movies.
He already lost a sister; he couldn’t lose another one.
Ye Linchuan turned away, and said these three words as if they meant nothing to him—
“I don’t care.”
Ye Qinghe’s throat began to feel sore, his eyeballs numb and painful from the tears trying to gush out.
He tried his best to hold back his tears, “Did you leave all your sympathies with Mother when she left? You don’t take care of me or Ziyu because you don’t care. You only care about yourself, your company, and your money.”
After Mother left, he was forced to grow up.
He knew that he had to be obedient and mature, because he had a little brother who was young and ignorant of the world. As the oldest son he had to take responsibilities. Though he missed his mother and father, he could not show it because that would make his brother sad, and Father would say he was immature.
He had been holding back. He had been learning to be an adult. But this time he didn’t want to step back.
“Ya ya will stay. If you’re not going to take care of her, I will.” Ye Qinghe straightened his back, his voice was filled with determination and stubbornness.
Ye Linchuan laughed, “You’ll take care of her? How?”
