Chapter 136 – If she had to say Song Tingshen had a lover, then that lover was simply his job (3)

Song Tingshen understood Ruan Xia’s intention. “You want me to deal with him?”

“… Yes.” Ruan Xia nodded with difficulty. “I’ve already admonished that person, but he won’t listen to me. The people I know aren’t reliable. Plus, I don’t want to see him again. So, I really can’t think of any other ideas. You have to believe me. Just like you, I don’t want something like this to happen in my life.”

“I understand. I already asked a friend to go alert the Duan’s. I was planning on telling you this. I hope you don’t mind that I interfered in your life.”

Ruan Xia felt extremely comfortable after hearing these short sentences. She pushed the fruit tray over to him. “These fruits are very sweet. Try some. I definitely don’t mind that you did that. Thank you very much! If you help me solve the problem of Duan Chi, I’ll treat you to a meal.”

Although Song Tingshen liked sweet stuff, he rarely ate fruits, especially when he was already full from dinner. However, seeing how solicitously Ruan Xia was being, he took the fork and had a piece of watermelon. Under her attentive gaze, he also had a slice of apple.

Ruan Xia smiled. “I won’t keep you from your work any longer.”

Song Tingshen’s response met her expectations. He wasn’t the type to idly sit by and do nothing. With him taking action, she felt at ease. She felt that no matter what the issue was, he would be able to resolve it. Perhaps, her confidence in him had to do with her positive image of him.

Song Tingshen watched her leave the study before looking at the fruit tray on his desk. Those fruits really were very sweet.

What did she say? That if he resolved her problem with Duan Chi, she would treat him to a meal?

Thinking of her expression and tone when she said those words, Song Tingshen laughed.

That night, after Ruan Xia had solved the problem that plagued her, she was in a relaxed and peaceful mood. She was in her room and practising flower arrangement using the champagne roses that Song Tingshen had bought. She had searched the entire house before finding a satisfactory vase. Mimicking what she had seen on TV, she cut here and there. One by one, she placed the flowers into the vase. As she did this, she was humming. It could be seen that she was in an extra good mood tonight.

Little Wang was wearing a small tank top and small shorts. He was sitting on the couch and watched his mom fiddle with those beautiful flowers. He propped his chin in his hand and suddenly asked, “Mom are you very happy that you got flowers from dad?”

Ruan Xia nodded with a smile. “Yeah. Don’t you think these flowers look very pretty?”

Little Wang glanced at his mom, then looked at the flowers on the table. He deeply sighed and said, “Mom is so stupid.”

“Why are you saying mom is stupid?” Ruan Xia put down the scissors.

“Dad gave mom flowers because he likes mom.”

“…” Ruan Xia glared at him. “Don’t scare mom.”

Song Tingshen had already clearly told her why he had given her these flowers. She wouldn’t flatter herself by thinking he was interested in her. As a twenty-something year old, Ruan Xia thought that her greatest strength was self-knowledge.

Little Wang slid off the couch. While walking over to the bed, he said, “Whatever. Don’t believe me then.”

Oh my, this chubby kid had a temper now?
