[2009 – June]

Stepping through the portal, we arrived in the entrance hall of a mansion and I saw Emma already waiting for our arrival with Clarice by her side. Giving Emma a look, I waited for her to give us some basic information, which she promptly did.

"First, some introductions. The Massachusetts Academy has a lot fewer mutants attending than Xavier's, as the majority of the students are normal humans. The living arrangements are also separated, as it generally isn't a good idea to pair up normal humans with mutants. The human students are aware of your presence, but I ask you to refrain from any casual show of superhuman feats during class.", Emma voiced out, before she continued.

"This is the mansion where the Hellions live on the school grounds. They are my version of the X-Men, though a bit less experienced and with a different set of goals, but that's something to discuss on another day."

I have arranged for you two to live here with them, as there is enough space and facilities for training and testing your powers. I also take it you two will be living together?”, Emma asked directly.

Giving Jean's slowly reddening cheeks a look, I answered calmly while brushing over the back of her hand with my thumb: "We will."

"Mhm, alright then. Also, I understand that Charles' policy was to send his students to a public school for half of the week, which is normally not something we practice here. But I will make an exception like you asked me to, Elijah.", Emma continued, the professional businesswoman shining through with the way she acted.

"These pads are basically all you need to access the training facilities or have a look at your schedule.", Emma said while gesturing to Blink, who presented us with two tablets, "If there are any news or changes in your schedule, you will also be notified via these. And you can contact me or other personnel of the school with them if you have questions or in case of emergencies."

Well, that was basically it. Clarice will show you around, so get settled in and we will talk again soon. You are also free to invite your friends from Xavier's school over.”, Emma ended.

Nodding in understanding, I voiced out: “Thanks, Emma.”

A moment later, Blink opened another portal for Emma and she was gone.

"Well, I guess I am your tour guide. And don't worry, your stuff is already in your room.", Clarice added with a light-hearted smile.

Please, lead the way.”, I responded with a calm smile.

As Clarice led us through the newly-dubbed Hellion Mansion, we met her teammates, including Sharon Smith, Allision Crestmere, Rahne Sinclair, Angelica Jones, Haroun ibn Sallah al-Rashid, Marie-Ange Colbert, and John Proudstar, a.k.a. Thunderbird, a.k.a. Blink's boyfriend.

All in all, there weren't many mutants under Emma's rule as she didn't just take in everybody, which was understandable. Emma preferred loyalty and quality, instead of quantity without coherence. Which was a good approach in my opinion, as internal strife was much worse than being short-handed.

There were other mutants in the school of course and even though Emma made sure that they were wanting for nothing, they weren't the focus of her attention. They either had mediocre powers or were too young and had no combat power yet.

John was the leader of the Hellions, while Angelica was the Vice-Leader, though I couldn't really comment on them being a good fit for the position, as I had very little knowledge about them and the Hellions in general.

What I knew, on the other hand, was that their moral compass was a lot less inflexible than Charles' and that they were ready to do what was necessary under Emma's reign, which was something that I could identify with much more easily.

Finally, after our little tour around was over, Blink along with John led us to our room, which was basically a suite like the one at Xavier's, though it was a bit bigger and had a more modern touch to it, instead of a wholly rustic style.

Our stuff had been placed on the sofas and coffee table and was just waiting for us to take care of.

"Thanks for the tour, guys. I think we got it from here.", I told the lilac-haired girl currently leaning back against the chest of her boyfriend.

You're welcome.”, John said in an easy-going manner, before he continued, “Also we are gonna throw a little welcome party later for you, so make sure you be there.”

Well, I am not really a fan of parties, but you guys have fun.”, I replied, trying to avoid the party.

"Well, you kinda have to attend, or it's just underage drinking without permission from the Headmistress.", Clarice added, giving Jean a conspiratorial look, "Make sure to drag him there if necessary, Jean."

"Got it. See ya later, Blink. Bye John.", Jean agreed easily enough while closing the door on the two of them and dragging me into the apartment, denying me the chance to argue my case any further.

It took us around two hours to put away our stuff, though that was mostly just Jean deciding where to place all her little decorative items and me answering her questions about the placement of all her trinkets with non-committal 'Mmh''s and 'Okay''s.

Still, watching her decorate our place, made a pleasant warmth flow through my veins. So much so that mid-way through her work, I was unable to stop myself from pouncing on her. And a few minutes later, Jean's wanton moans echoed through our new home for the very first time.

Feeling Jean's finger gently moving over my abdomen while her lips left small kisses on my chest, we lay in bed together with nothing but a thin sheet covering our lower bodies and enjoying the pleasant afterglow of our intimacy.

Her body was basically draped over my own with her chest pressed against my torso, her flaming hair flowing over my shoulder as I softly brushed through it with my right hand. My left hand caressing her shoulder and side, I looked over her delicate back.

Jean, I can use your fire to power my Self-Creation.”, I suddenly voiced out without thought, incapable of keeping it from her any longer.

Propping herself up on her hands with her lovely breasts on full display, her hair fell down her shoulders and framed her perfect face. Giving me a curious look, she asked: "How?"

Moving my hands to either side of her face, I softly caressed her cheeks as I explained: "I told you about the energy I need to activate the ability, didn't I? Well, your flames seem to contain that same kind of energy. And I seem to be able to absorb it just fine whenever I touch your fire. I wasn't sure if I should tell you so soon, because I was afraid you would think that I was only taking advantage of you. But …"

Pressing my forehead against hers, I left a soft kiss on her lips as I ended: "You deserve the truth, Jean. I don't want to make the same mistakes the Professor made. I always want to be honest with you."

Eyes shining with affection and trust, Jean answered quietly: “I love you, Elijah. And I don't need to read your mind to know that you love me back, you show me that with everything you have done for me.”

Pressing her lips against mine, before leaving a teasing bite on my lower lip, she continued softly: “Also, if you can absorb my fire, doesn't that just mean that we fit together perfectly?”

Wrapping my arms around her lower back, I turned us around and imprisoned her gorgeous form beneath me, capturing her lips as Jean's legs moved around my waist.

"It does, my love.", I responded after breaking our kiss, before once again trying my best to have her cry out in pleasure.
