The sound of gut-wrenching chewing echoed through the ruined prison as Neil devoured The boy’s flesh bit by bit.

The boy seemed to have reverted back to his humanoid form after his death. Making it much easier for Neil to eat him.

He ripped apart a piece of the boy’s chest and devoured it in one bite. The Boy’s body was destroyed beyond repair. It looked as if even if the boy’s parents saw it, they wouldn't be able to recognize it.

The boy’s body was missing several limbs, the sharp broken bones of his ribcage could be seen protruding out of his chest. His face was mutilated beyond repair and his abdomen revealed a horrifying mess of a viscera.

It would be quite unbelievable if someone were told that a human, not a mindless monster, but a sentient human, could do something like this. But that was the truth.

Or at least half-truth.

In fact, Even though he had in fact regained some of his sanity for a while during the battle,

Neil currently was no different than a wild beast. Moving only on instinct and inhumane.

Neil slowly finished devouring The Boys flesh and began chewing on his bones. An endless hunger seemed to have taken over Neil.

However, something changed inside him. As if he had been released from heavy shackles.

His mind began clearing up, and the madness in his eyes faded away.

“I-Im alive!”

Neil had regained his sanity.

“The gods haven’t forsaken me yet! I-I escaped that vile curse!” Neil dropped on his knees and held both his hands together. He closed his eyes and remained completely still.

He remained like this for a few moments before a strange blue glow enveloped his entire body. His body felt completely rejuvenated. His eyes regained their light and his skin became smoother.

The wounds from the battle against the boy almost completely healed. His hair grew in size, enough to reach his knees.

‘Weird… the effects shouldn't be this great after all, this spell only fastens my recovery.’

Neil held his chin as he examined his body. The effects of the spell he had just used had been too good to be normal. Afterall, the spell only fastens the body's recovery. It’s only useful for stopping blood loss and wasn’t supposed to completely heal deeper scars. ‘Oh well. I will have more than enough time to theorise once I'm out of this hellhole.’

Thinking so, Neil turned over to the remains of the boy.

There wasn’t much left of him, in fact. The boy’s remains only consisted of a shattered skull with a brain, attached on a broken spine with a few chunks of flesh and bones scattered all around.

Neil covered his mouth, he had barely held his urge to puke. Just remembering the memories of his mindless self devouring The Boy’s flesh filled him with a disgusting, soul-wrenching feeling. ‘I should… not think of this too much…’

Neil covered his nose with his fingers and approached the boy's skull. ‘Where the hell is his core… Ah whatever, I don’t think I'll require his soul for something so simple.’

Neil ripped apart the front of the skull, revealing the boy’s brain. He grabbed the brain in his hands and closed his eyes.

Soon, a white light emerged from Neil’s hand. The hand which he was using to hold the brain.

Neil continued to keep his eyes shut for a while, before the white light completely died down.

He gently opened his eyes and threw away the brain. ‘This kid must’ve been a royal blood vampire.. No wonder he was allowed in this place. Not to mention that damn mental barrier .. Thankfully his mental strength was weak so I broke through easily.’

Neil walked out of the prison room into a long, dark corridor. The entire corridor was filled with several other prison cells. Suddenly, Neil’s eyes began emitting a red glow and he looked to his right. ‘Found it.’

Neil began walking in his right direction. While passing by the other cells, he noticed that he was the only living being in this corridor. The rest of the cells were filled with nothing but blood and bones. ‘I guess this kid ate the rest already. Pity. I could’ve used them to escape.’

Neil gave off a sigh and kept walking. After walking for what seemed like two minutes, He arrived at a spiral staircase made of polished blackstone going up. ‘Time to leave this place.’

Neil’s lips curled up forming a smile. He was suddenly filled with hope as he began climbing up the stairs.

However,

That didn’t last long.

“KEUK AAAAAAARGGHHHHH!”

A mind boggling scream echoed through the entire corridor as Neil felt the greatest pain he has ever felt in his entire life.

He felt as if his soul was burning, while being ripped apart piece by piece at the same time. He felt as if thousands of swords were being stabbed in his body and all the veins in his body were bursting at the same time.

He was filled with despair and anguish.

The pain continued for several minutes and he tried to kill himself several times during it. Unfortunately, his body didn’t allow him to.

All he wanted was to make the lives of his family in his school easier, why did god make him go through such pain?

He had no answer.

Right now, he simply wanted to end this pain.

Unbeknownst to him, ‘God’ has heeded his call.

The pain that he had felt slowly began disappearing. However, before he had the time to celebrate, he felt a strange sensation in his soul.

It was as if… something extremely precious was being taken from him.

“This is fucking insane.”

It has been around five minutes since Abraham took Over Neil’s body.

‘Shit… If I understand correctly, i'm not at ****’

“...”

‘What was the name again… shit how did I forget the name of my own world!’ Abraham became quite paranoid. Trying to remember his world’s name. However, he gave up after a while. ‘I have more important things to take care of. Now then…’

Abraham joined both his hands and closed his eyes shut. ‘Now… I just need to follow what I had seen in his mind when he was casting the spell..’

Abraham tried to remember that picture. It was a massive, green tree on a plain land filled with luscious green grass. On one of the branches of the tree, laid a clock. He kept imagining this exact same scene for quite a while. However, nothing happened.

Disappointed, He sat down on the ground resting his arms on his knee. ‘It seems I was a little too arrogant to think I could grasp this miraculous power by simply seeing it once. And that too I’m not sure how much of it i’ve actually seen’

He began thinking about what he would do from now on. However, that didn’t last long.

[The delay has ended for the child. Goodluck]

Gentle and ethereal. That was the best way to describe the voice that Abraham heard. He couldn’t decipher whether it belonged to a male or a female yet… It felt quite comforting.

However, that feeling of comfort only lasted till the voice finished speaking.

But what happened next was quite literally the most horrifying experience Abraham has gone through.  All the pain that Neil was experiencing was transferred to Abraham and…

He got consumed by pure darkness.
