"Damn it, why don't you hurry up?!"

A loud and fierce cry was heard in the training yard of a family.

Plot

A small body fell to the ground after being hit.

"Y-yes! I-I'm so sorry! I-I'll get r-right on it!"

The person who just got hit was a little girl.

In her hands, she was carrying some swords of various sizes; she could barely walk with all that weight on her.

The young man who had just beaten her shouted at her again: "Damn girl, if you don't hurry up with that we'll be even further behind!"

Several young people were watching this and said nothing, but they also shouted for the girl to hurry. Even children her own age were throwing stones or dirt balls at her to hurry her.

A middle-aged man frowned at this. He was in the middle of the training camp.

Approaching the young man and girl, he said, "What are you doing Ju Ping?"

Ju Ping, who was the one who had beaten the girl, responded with a nasty face when he looked at the girl: "Uncle Dan, this damn girl doesn't hurry up with the things we ask her!"

Ju Dan was upset to see this girl all ugly and in bad shape: "Who is this girl?"

Ju Ping quickly responded: "Her parents were the previous guards who served our family and who died in the attack of the horde years ago. But they were just useless guards and they gave birth to this most useless child! Her parents owed our family money, so she has to work for us and pay back the money we lent her parents."

Ju Ping kicked the girl hard, making her throw back the swords, blades and spears she had in her arms.

Her arms and hands began to bleed as the edge of the weapons tore through her skin.

Still, the girl did not complain. She only gritted her teeth, enduring the pain as she picked up the weapons again. A tear threatened to well up in her small eyes. It seemed she had grown accustomed to going through all this.

The other young men who watched this only shook their heads in disappointment at having such inept servants.

"We, the Ju family, have received reports from the Ming family that they need us to prepare everyone who can fight against the next horde of demon beasts that might attack the city again."

Ju Dan shouted seriously, as he looked at all the young people. His voice spread throughout the training camp.

The Ju family was under the Ming family, but they still had their residences and training camps almost outside the star city. The whole area belonged exclusively to the Ju family.

The sound of falling swords and blades was heard again, so they could not help but turn to that spot.

The girl had dropped the swords she carried as she fell to her knees, breathing heavily, trying not to fall completely.

"What's wrong with this brat?! Why doesn't she hurry up with things?!" Ju Da was upset to see the child's ineptitude and inefficiency, so he asked Ju Ping

"Tsk, that idiot is sick, besides, we don't know what's wrong with her and often she suddenly faints or even loses her strength to the point that she can't stand up. We think it's just because she's doing it because she doesn't want to do anything!" Ju Ping spat at the girl: "Damn inept, why don't you just die if you're in the way?!"

"I-I'm s-sorry!" She stuttered as she tried to respond.

The girl shrank in such a way that she was afraid, putting up with the teasing she was getting from those guys. She still didn't complain.

Ju Dan was angry when he did not see action from this girl and saw that she had bent down and had her head almost buried between her legs.

Ju Dan was upset because he didn't want to waste any more time, so he moved forward to hit the girl hard so that she would hurry.

Bam!

"Argh!"

Just as Ju Dan was about to hit the girl, he inexplicably flew away several meters behind.

"Elder Dan!"

"Uncle Dan!"

Worried cries were heard when they saw Ju Dan's body fly several meters and fall heavily to the ground.

"Cogh!"

Ju Dan spat blood when he tried to get up.

What happened to him?!

Several young men who were nearby ran to help him and carefully picked him up from the ground.

Huh?

Ju Dan and the other young people were startled when they saw an unknown person in front of the girl, with his back to them.

Ju Ping, who was the only one left near the girl, had noticed it instantly much earlier. At that moment, he felt a little afraid when he did not know how this young man appeared out of nowhere.

Ju Dan felt shame and humiliation for having been beaten by a young man. He was a King rank and everyone showed him respect and admiration. Having been beaten by a stranger would make him lose face.

"Who are you?! This is the house of the Ju family! We are backed by the Ming family! Dare you to do anything here!"

Ju Dan shouted angrily, as he walked slowly towards the young man, supported by several young men.

He didn't even think about how he flew off and got several internal injuries, the humiliation covering his being.

The person who had just arrived and hit Ju Dan was Ling Tian.

When he was about to return, he observed with his spiritual sense what was happening in this place.

Seeing what they were doing to a little girl touched one of Ling Tian's low points. Hate filled his being.

At this point, Ling Tian did not respond to Ju Dan's cries, nor did he even hear them.

His gaze was focused on the girl who was almost a ball to defend herself every time she was hit.

Her body could even be found bruised, scarred and not to mention her clothes, which were very dirty and very worn and could break completely at any moment. Some seams could be seen over seams to prevent the folds of her dress from unraveling or breaking even more.

The blood on her arms seemed to have dried slightly, forming scabs over the scabs of previous wounds, as the wounds slowly began to close, yet small traces of blood still came out.

This girl had not even heard the screams and noises that had just passed, as she shrank and protected her little head shaking with fear.

It was a totally painful and depressing scene.

Ling Tian felt pain and sorrow for this little girl.

He had rescued several children who were in similar situations and had given them love and support that they had never received until they were fully grown.

He was someone who had a terrible childhood, so it hurt him to see young children go through a situation like his.

"Hey! We're talking to you! Who the hell do you think you are, getting into our business?!"

A shout disturbed Ling Tian when he was watching the little girl.

He turned his head towards Ju Pin as he stared at him. His cold, hateful look penetrated Ju Ping's body, the latter could not help but tremble with fear.

Ju Ping felt fear as he watched this young man, but he immediately tried to calm down.

He was a Great Heaven rank, about to enter the King rank!

How could he be afraid of someone younger and probably weaker than him?!

Ju Ping took a sword that was near his feet that the little girl had dropped and started running towards Ling Tian.

The Ju ha family had become accustomed to killing and being arrogant in front of any family, except the Great Families. Ju Ping did not worry and ran to cut to Ling Tian.

"That brat causes nothing but trouble! Get rid of them both!" Ju Dan gritted his teeth in hatred.

The pain, fury and anger in his heart finally exploded when Ling Tian heard the other man's comment, so he grabbed the cut of the sword with his left hand and with his right fist sent a strong, thunderous blow to Ju Ping's chest, sending him flying several meters and crashing into the wall.

No one knew if he was dead or alive.
