"This is..."

The green-robed woman looked at the place where she stood in surprise when she opened her eyes again; they were on another platform just like the previous one, only this one was much larger, while in the center were two plain, rusted copper swords.

"How old-fashioned." Ling Tian smiled wryly at the sight in front of them.

"Do we have to fight each other?" She asked with a frown.

"That seems..." Ling Tian shrugged as he walked over to the center and picked up one of the two copper swords.

This sword had nothing but copper all over the edge, even the hilt was simple wood, wood from any tree trunk that could be found in a forest. No matter how hard anyone searched it, the sword was simple and low level a sword that any common mortal could make. It wasn't even a cultivation sword, but a simple mortal sword!

"Aren't you going to take it?" Ling Tian asked with a slight smile.

The woman looked at Ling Tian, contemplating what was going on.

'It shouldn't be too hard to fight and beat him with our cultivation bases suppressed...'

She thought inwardly as she reached over and picked up the other copper sword. She could feel that the sword was more than ordinary and didn't have any special or hidden features.

"You start~" Ling Tian smiled slightly as he signaled to the woman, indicating that he was giving her the chance for her to throw the first strike.

Watching Ling Tian who seemed to have no battle stance, she frowned slightly.

Without thinking of more, she moved at an incredible speed. Even though the cultivation bases were suppressed in place, this woman with turquoise colored eyes still had an astonishing body that seemed to transcend human limits.

The woman arrived in front of a Ling Tian in less than a second and the sword had already descended towards Ling Tian, slashing in front of him.

'Isn't he moving?'

She quickly thought as she saw that Ling Tian didn't move and just kept on keeping that light smile, as if he didn't put her in his eyes.

Ling Tian didn't seem to react in time and the sword fell.

* Bang! *

A trembling and deep numbness covered the woman's arm before she decided to retreat.

She gasped slightly as she felt her arm go numb and couldn't feel it.

Ling Tian had his arm slightly raised, with his sword in a defensive stance! And still he hadn't moved from his place, hadn't even moved his feet.

The green-robed woman could not believe it! She felt her arm very numb from the simple fact that Ling Tian defended himself and did not attack her!

"If you get confident you won't know how you lost~"

Ling Tian joked a little seeing the expression on her, subconsciously using almost the same playful tone as Tang Wanying.

"Don't be arrogant..."

She whispered with some annoyance and shot towards Ling Tian once again, being much faster than before!

If she hadn't attacked with her full strength before, she was now putting more than half of her entire body strength to attack Ling Tian.

Perhaps this place was suppressing the cultivation bases, but she had a backhand for this situation; she also cultivated Body Dao as well, and although she didn't have a great achievement to the point of resisting powerful attacks without the need to use Chi, her body had still become stronger than other average cultivators.

Almost no one was interested in body Dao, since only most focused more on direct Dao cultivation and there was no time for other types of cultivation... she practiced in her spare time her body refinement, so she was stronger than those in her same realm.

She could proudly say that she had some capital to be able to defend herself in this place!

* Bang! *

But again, she was repelled several meters back, her arms trembling as numbness even began to spread throughout her body from both arms!

"You also practice body refinement?" She finally realized upon seeing Ling Tian's posture that he had not changed.

This crippled person actually practiced body refinement!

"Why are you surprised? It's not like you're the only person to practice Body Dao."

Ling Tian rolled his eyes and looked somewhat strangely at this woman. Although his body was being suppressed, the body refining strength was still there, so without a doubt Ling Tian was currently the strongest of everyone in that place.

The turquoise-eyed woman looked somewhat reluctantly at Ling Tian, realizing that there were actually cultivators who cultivated his body directly.

*Rumble... *

The platform trembled and again like the previous one, it began to shrink slightly.

"There's also a limit to this phase?" The woman asked with some surprise, quickly getting used to it.

Ling Tian frowned completely as he watched the movement of the platform. The gleam in his eyes dimmed to nothing and his slightly playful expression changed to a serious one. Then, he said, "If you don't take this seriously, we wouldn't be able to move forward." Ling Tian looked at her with faint indifference.

'Those eyes...'

The turquoise-eyed woman looked at Ling Tian's eyes and thought inwardly again; there was something about them that reminded her of her two masters...

"Then how do you want to-..."

* Bang! *

The next moment, Ling Tian's figure blinked and in less than a split second he had arrived at the woman's side and fiercely attacked her with the sword, sending her flying as she didn't resist the attacking force!

"What are you doing?! Why didn't you warn that you would attack me!"

She steadied herself as best she could, less than 10 feet from falling off the platform. Her gaze towards Ling Tian was filled with fury and anger.

"Why should I tell you? This is a test and we have to fight for that expert's inheritance... don't think this will be easy, much less that you can survive if it becomes necessary to fight to the death."

Ling Tian looked at her but this time with more indifference and even a hint of murderous intent shone in his eyes, sending shivers down the woman's spine.

She tightened her grip on her sword feeling the nerves and shivers run down her spine and then into her whole body, feeling for the first time that she was getting to know the true side of this young man older than her...

"If the only way to get through this is to kill the other, then I'll do it!"

Ling Tian's somber voice pierced through the space after his figure disappeared from the scene; the turquoise-eyed woman's pupils shrank as she felt the sensation of danger invade her body.

By instinct, she moved quickly, barely managing to dodge a sword slash that suddenly appeared from behind, passing millimeters from her neck.

She quickly settled herself and waved her sword towards the direction she felt the air move, meeting Ling Tian's presence and counter attacking with her sword.

* Clang! *

* Smack! *

The green-robed woman felt a horrible pain in the side of her abdomen, spitting out a mouthful of blood as she rolled all over the platform to the edge about to fall.

"Come on, if you don't take this seriously, you will die here under my hands... I will have no pity or mercy in killing a girl like you!"

Ling Tian stared at her, the killing intent in his eyes becoming slightly more noticeable, filling the woman with more shivers as she tried to stand up and endure the pain in her body.

'He'll kill me...'

She thought as she felt the killing intent in place, though it was little, it was a sign that the other party would actually dare to do it.

'I can't fall here! I haven't avenged my parents, let alone returned the saving grace to my masters!'

Standing firm and tightening her grip on the copper sword, her expression became serious and determined. Her body trembled slightly from fear and nervousness, but she did not step back and decided to face Ling Tian, wanting to move forward.

Without wasting another second, the green-robed woman's figure disappeared, causing Ling Tian's face to shock when he noticed it before he waved his sword and charged strongly at his side, meeting with a sword out of nowhere!

* Bang! *

This time, Ling Tian went flying when he was unable to counter the force of the attack, steadying himself in midair to once again wave his sword and defend himself once more.

A lovely soft and slender figure moved across the platform, attacking Ling Tian from different directions and overtaking him as her strength grew stronger and stronger.
