"Dude, you finally woke up!" The young man came smiling towards Ling Tian as he tapped him on the shoulder slowly and said: "I thought you'd be sleeping for a few more days, your body is really hurt... What happened to you to the point of being like this?"

Ling Tian only smiled at the young man who had approached. He did not know how to explain the situation. Before he could answer, the young man continued to speak: "My name is Mu Shen, you may call me brother Shen, this is my younger sister, Mu Shuiruo, hehe". He said as he glanced at Mu Shuiruo behind him.

Ling Tian nodded and greeted him: "How do you do? My name is Ling Tian, you can also call me brother Tian. Thanks for everything, I guess you brought me here and took care of me too." Ling Tian now knew who had taken him.

"Ling Tian? That's a good name, it seems you're destined to defy the heavens, haha." Mu Shen chuckled a little as he pulled the chair to sit and said to Mu Shuiruo: "Little sister, why don't you go get some water? Brother Tian must be thirsty..."

Mu Shuiruo nodded to her brother with a smile as she glanced at Ling Tian quickly and left the room with a slight blush on her face.

"Hehe, my little sister seems to like you..." Mu Shen saw his younger sister's behavior and gave Ling Tian a playful smile: "But if you want to go after her, I'll have to see what kind of man you are..." He said the latter with a serious expression.

Ling Tian had an expression of not knowing whether to laugh or cry.  Though Mu Shuiruo had really caught his attention, the thought of approaching her had not yet crossed his mind. He had a bigger problem. Recovering from his injuries first.

"Thank you so much for bringing me to your house and helping me heal most of my wounds, Brother Shen. I hope I don't cause your family too much trouble." Ling Tian sincerely thanked Mu Shen.

Mu Shen nodded briefly as a slight sadness suddenly appeared in his eyes before saying, "Do not worry, Brother Tian. I could not leave you in the middle of nowhere, so I brought you to my home. You are safe here, even though we are not within the city, we are still safe from any attack by the demon beasts".

It seems he has some problems...' thought Ling Tian. He had noticed that sadness that he had briefly shown.

"Mmm, I've never seen you in the city before, nor do I remember any Ling family... Brother Tian, do you need me to go get someone from your family to come and get you? They must be worried." Mu Shen asked Ling Tian.

Ling Tian shook his head. He could not tell him that he was not from the Star City that Long Cheng had mentioned. Besides, he didn't know if he would believe him if he told him that he came from a far away place.

Mu Shen nodded as he thought: 'He must have problems with his family too...'

Ling Tian asked, "Brother Shen, how did you find me on the plains? I remember there was no one around..." Ling Tian was reflecting. He had scanned the surroundings and had seen no one other than the demon beasts.

"Because I had gone to get some medicinal plants for my sister. She likes to research and make special medicine to heal wounds and even make elixirs to help me raise my level of martial artist power. So when I went to get those herbs, I found you in the middle of a hole. Brother Tian, what happened to you? Did those rays that we saw coming down several days ago hit you? Because you were right in the area I saw the lightning coming down and you were in the middle of a hole, so it makes me think of that..." Mu Shen explained his conclusion that he had come to see Ling Tian's wounds.

Ling Tian was stunned for a few seconds before answering: "You could say that, brother Shen, it was a disgrace..." The lightning had really struck him, though it was hard to believe, it was true. It was the only explanation for Ling Tian's injuries.

"Wait a minute, you said it was several days ago? How many days was I unconscious?" Ling Tian reacted when he remembered he was unconscious.

Mu Shen had been surprised that the lightning had actually struck Ling Tian and responded unconsciously: "You were almost 7 days unconscious ..."

'7 days?' Ling Tian was a little surprised to learn that he didn't wake up for a week. 'It seems it was really the Wrath of the Heavenly Dao. It knocked me out for several days...'

"What is today's date?" Ling Tian asked.

"It is the 18th day of the seventh month." Mu Shen responded as he emerged from his daze.

'According to his words, I was unconscious for seven days since he found me, so it was two days before he found me ... In total it was 9 days that I was unconscious. It was a miracle that no demon beast came near me in those first two days.' Ling Tian thought as he did the calculations in his head.

At this moment, Mu Shuiruo came in with a full glass of water and a bowl that smelled of medicinal herbs.

Mu Shen pulled the table out and set it aside for Ling Tian as he arranged the things Mu Shuiruo had brought.

"This is a medicinal soup, which will help you get your body back". Mu Shen pointed to the bowl containing the medicine. Then he passed the glass of water to Ling Tian.

Although Ling Tian had regained some strength, he still couldn't hold the glass. Mu Shen helped him drink the water.

Then Mu Shen came over and took the medicine bowl. He gave it to Ling Tian to drink slowly.

Ling Tian nodded in appreciation to Mu Shen and gave a friendly smile to Mu Shuiruo: "Thank you very much". Mu Shuiruo blushed slightly at Ling Tian's smile and smiled at him as well.

Once it was over, Ling Tian felt that he had regained some strength. Although he could not yet stand up and walk, it was enough to move his arms a little.

Mu Shuiruo approached with a smile as she looked at Ling Tian and grabbed the things and left the room.

"You are really lucky to survive those horrible lightnings, brother Tian, I can't believe it, and yet you are still alive..." Mu Shen still could not fully accept that Ling Tian had survived the lightning.

Ling Tian smiled bitterly. Even he did not believe that he could truly survive that catastrophe when the Celestial Dao had sealed everything from him. But, he summoned up his courage and, in the end, managed to survive.

"Brother Tian, I don't want to be negative, but, I think those wounds will take time to recover and I don't have a way to check how your body is inside, so I would recommend that you really look for your family so that you can recover and have no problems when you want to rise in the ranks of martial arts... I'm not running you, Brother Tian, but I'm worried about your health. And you don't have to pay me anything for trying to help you!" Mu Shen quickly explained the latter, fearing that Ling Tian would misunderstand.

Ling Tian smiled at Mu Shen's explanation and nodded in recognition.

'It seems that there really are still good people at heart, who care about you without expecting anything in return. How many years have passed since I have seen someone kind without a falsehood in their words and a hypocrisy in their eyes?' Ling Tian thought.

"Brother Shen, you said martial arts, right? Could you explain to me about that?" Ling Tian remembered about the martial arts he had mentioned before.

"Martial Arts? Isn't Brother Tian a martial artist?" Mu Shen asked with a confusion on his face.

Before Ling Tian could say anything, Mu Shen quickly added: "Ah, I see. So Brother Tian works in the fields?" Said Mu Shen.

"Yes, so I don't know about martial arts. Everyone in my family works in the fields." Ling Tian replied while thinking to himself: 'It seems that there are really people who are not martial artists, I thought that with the threats of beasts that roam around, everyone would be martial artists...'

Mu Shen nodded in response to Ling Tian. He thought that Ling Tian was one of those small families that worked in the fields to have their own crops and food. So it didn't seem strange to him that Ling Tian didn't know about martial artists.

"Well, Brother Tian, as you know, because of threats from the demon beasts, we martial artists train to defend ourselves from attac-"

"Little Shuiruo, I've come to see you! Could you come out so I can see your beautiful face?"

Just as Mu Shen was preparing to explain about martial artists to Ling Tian, a shout was heard from outside the house.
