Chapter 55: Chewing Toy! (2)

"Okay, this is your present!" Cha Junshik pulled out a chewing toy shaped like a bone for Alpheus.

"WHOA! ARF! ARF! ARF!" Alpheus made small jumps because he got the gift. He didn't even know what that thing was used for, but he was more than happy since it was from Sir Junshik Hyung!

In fact, he felt that he could burst into thousands of fireworks in front of Sir Junshik Hyung!

Cha Junshik was relieved that Alpheus really liked the toy. He put down the chewing bone in front of Alphie, and Alphie bit it. 

'Hmm… it doesn't have a taste, but it's soft and squeaky!' Alpheus thought. He never had this kind of thing in his original world. He dropped the chewing toy and asked, "Sir, is this for me to eat?"

"No, no, it's for you to chew. It's a chewing toy, so if you're bored and want to chew on something, then you can chew on that," Junshik said.

"Arf! Yes, Sir!" Alpheus quickly bit the chewing toy again and carried it to the living room. Since it would take a while for him to return to human form, he just laid on the soft carpet and started chewing while watching the scenery on the window.

Cha Junshik wouldn't lie that watching Alpheus getting comfortable around his house was actually nice to see. At least it made him feel like he actually had a pet.

"Sit still. I will start cooking for dinner," Junshik said. He took off his green vest and then rolled his sleeves. He put on the blue apron and started cooking for himself and Alphie.

Cha Junshik cooked different dishes because Alpheus seriously disliked vegetables, even corn or potato. He was a true carnivore. 

Meanwhile, he had to make sure that he ate the healthiest thing because he had to maintain his figure and health. 

Sniff. Sniff.

Alpheus stopped chewing when he smelled meat being cooked by Sir Junshik Hyung in the kitchen. He bit his toy and rushed to the kitchen. 

Alpheus circled around Junshik's left and dropped his toy in-between Junshik's toes.

Cha Junshik looked down and saw the dog was looking at him with his tongue stuck out, "Sir! Are we going to eat soon?"

"Wha—Why are you here? Didn't I tell you to sit still in the living room?"

"But I can't wait, Sir!" 

"Your food is not ready yet. Go back to the living room before you get oil splash."

"Urrff…" Alpheus was impatient, but since Sir Junshik Hyung told him to wait, he unwillingly bit his chewing toy again and returned to the living room.

He rolled around the fluffy carpet restlessly. His nose was very sensitive, and the smell coming from the kitchen made him almost return there and eat whatever was on the kitchen counter.

Alpheus decided to bite his toy again and went to Sir Junshik Hyung's room since the smell wouldn't be so overpowering in his nose.

Alpheus still had his chewing toy on his jaw as he walked around Sir Junshik Hyung's room to spend time. He jumped from a small box to the chair and then to the computer table. 

He looked around in wonder and decided to jump to the bed. Alpheus tapped the table with his small feet a few times before jumping to the bed.

"Arf!" 

He landed safely on the bed, but his chewing toy accidentally fell on the floor when he jumped.

The chewing bone rolled under Sir Junshik Hyung's bed, "No! Sir Junshik Hyung's present! Don't run away!"

Alpheus quickly jumped from the bed to the floor and searched for his chewing toy.

He looked at the scary and dark space under Sir Junshik Hyung's bed. He got scared since he didn't know what kind of thing Sir Junshik hid under his bed.

"Since Sir Junshik Hyung is a high-ranked mage. Maybe he has the soul of a phantom horse under the bed? Or Jakiro, the twin-headed dragon? Or maybe Sir Junshik Hyung owned a portal that could transport him to heaven or the depths of hell?"

Alpheus started imagining the worst thing possible. But he had no other way to retrieve his toy back unless he went in. So he braced himself and walked inside the dark space under Sir Junshik Hyung's bed.

He had an amazing sight in the dark, but when he entered the dark domain of Sir Junshik Hyung, he noticed that there were many things he didn't even recognize. 

From tools in a weird shape, one with big mouths, and so many other weird things that weren't present in Alpheus' original world.

He braced himself as the King of Beast, who had slain 10 headed dragon once because he wanted to eat dragon egg as breakfast. He had no fear against the unknown!

Alpheus sniffed around to find his toy that had rolled to the deepest part of the dark space.

Once he found it, he got even more confused because there were two rubber chewing toys of different size but smelled the same.

The smell of Sir Junshik Hyung!

"Sir Junshik Hyung already have one in here? Why didn't he give it to me earlier? Arf!" Alpheus was happy that he got two toys. But it was difficult to grab both and get out from this dark space under Sir Junshik Hyung's bed.

He looked at the two toys, this one under the bed had a slightly different shape, but it was bigger, probably twice as big as his new one given by Sir Junshik Hyung just now!

Of course, Alpheus was a greedy beast. If he could get a bigger one, why settle with the small thing? 

"Maybe Sir Junshik Hyung forgot about this toy! I should ask for his permission to chew this one!"

Without hesitation, Alpheus bit the bigger one and walked out of the dark space. After he was out, he went to the kitchen again to show Sir Junshik Hyung what he had just found!
