Chapter 59: Alphie's Amazing Spell! (2)

"Well, whether you can learn holy magic—or any kind of magic, that depends on me, the high-ranked holy mage in this domain. So all you need to do is to follow my instruction, okay?"

"Sir, Yes Sir!"

Alpheus didn't really know what Sir Junshik Hyung would do and why Sir Junshik Hyung suddenly allowed him to rest on his broad chest, but he was surely happy with it!

He felt… protected, which was something very foreign for him. Since he was used to be the monster that everyone was scared of. 

Cha Junshik didn't have any spell, of course. Heck, he didn't even know magic like what Alpheus described. Alphie just took his joke literally and concluded that Cha Junshik was truly a high-ranked holy mage. 

And he wanted to comfort Alpheus, at least to show him that he wasn't completely useless.

Cha Junshik caressed Alpheus' hair and then turned his head to whisper at Alphie's ear, "In my realm, I am the highest one in order. You have no magic affinity in your world, but once you're in my world, I can always bestow you with magic affinity, as long as you obey me, remember?" 

"Yes, Sir…" Alpheus nodded obediently. He felt safe and protected with Sir Junshik Hyung, and he also felt like Sir Junshik Hyung was really genuine with his care. 

So Alpheus willingly let his guard down. 

Cha Junshik continued whispering in Alphie's ear, "What kind of spell do you want? A spell that would burn your enemy? A spell that would drown them? Bury and purge everyone?"

Alpheus shook his head. He never had that kind of intention about magic, especially since he felt that his bloody hands were enough to kill anyone he wanted.

Instead, he wanted something more… comforting, coming from magic.

"Sir, can you give me a spell to make me find my mate?"

"Find your mate?"

"Un… sometimes, when I'm sleeping in my den in the Elune forest. I felt really lonely and wished I had a companion. I wish I could meet my mate, whether it's a man or woman. I just hope that I can meet them soon, so I can have someone by my side."

"Alphie always thought that I would die alone. Because nobody wants me, and nobody really likes me…." Alpheus said. His mood gradually turned mellow as he remembered how he never had a friend, let alone a mate, to fill his life.

Alpheus looked sad. He nodded his head weakly, "I understand, Sir. I'm sorry for asking."

Cha Junshik sighed. This wolf prince really had a way to make him feel empathy and care.

"I will give you a spell that would give you a companion. Because with this spell, you will feel my presence around you," Cha Junshik said.

Alpheus raised his head again and looked at Sir Junshik Hyung confusedly, "Sir, I don't understand."

"With this spell, you will feel safe because I will always be by your side. Even if it's just my spirit, I will always protect you with my holy aura. If you feel lonely, you can just use this spell, and I will be there to comfort you, okay?" Cha Junshik said. This was the most reasonable thing he could do for the wolf prince. Something that was 'magical,' but not really.

Alpheus' eyes stared at Sir Junshik Hyung as if he depended on his master. He didn't know where his mate was, and Sir Junshik Hyung also told him that his mate must be somewhere out there.

So he couldn't get possibly their location. But if it was Sir Junshik Hyung, then he wouldn't mind at all. He always felt that Sir Junshik Hyung's presence was very comforting. As long as Sir Junshik Hyung was by his side, all his worries vanished and turned into a joy that he had never experienced.

"Un, please teach Alphie, Sir…."

Cha Junshik smiled and bopped Alpheus' nose. He did quick thinking of a 'spell' to teach to Alpheus, and after that, he said, "This is the spell that I will give to you. Follow my words."

Cha Junshik slowly leaned deeper towards Alpheus' ear, so his lips touched that furry wolf ear.

Alpheus' ears instinctively twitched when Sir Junshik Hyung's lips touched it. He felt a jolt all over his body because wolf ears were very sensitive. 

"I summon thee, my beloved master, The Holy Fox Junshik. Be my guiding light in the darkest of the night." Cha Junshik whispered gently. 

"I… I summon thee, my beloved master, The Holy Fox Junshik. Be my guiding light in the darkest of the night…." Alpheus followed the spell slowly as he tried to memorize the spell. He didn't know why Sir Junshik Hyung said he was a holy fox. Obviously, Fox spirit was a holy creature, but they were the stuff of legend. 

But that summoning spell was very comforting for Alpheus. He had a hard time memorizing stuff, but that spell given by Sir Junshik Hyung was already imprinted in his head, so he could memorize it instantly. 

"Memorize that, okay? I will protect you even in your darkest night. Because I am the light that is born to accompany you, Alpheus," Cha Junshik said with a comforting gaze. 

He wanted this wolf to feel safe and secure around him. This was the least he could do since Alpheus always looked bubbly and happy, but he was indeed lonely, whether he truly realized it or not, but he really needed someone as a companion.

He might not be his mate because Junshik believed that Alpheus' mate must've been a woman, so he could reproduce and continue his bloodline. And that woman must've been another werewolf as well. At least that was his theory.

"With that, you don't need to feel lonely anymore because my light will always be with you, Alpheus."

"Un, Sir… you're truly a good person," Alpheus said as he continued snuggling on Sir Junshik Hyung's embrace. "Alphie wish that my mate would be as kind and caring as you. Sir Junshik Hyung is really my SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND."

Cha Junshik chuckled and continued patting Alpheus' head, "Yes, you're my best friend… or whatever that is. At least, you're the second person that I embrace."

"Second person?" Alpheus got up instantly. He looked at Sir Junshik Hyung with scrutinizing eyes, demanding an answer right here, right now. "Sir Junshik Hyung embraced someone before?"

"W—Well, it was a long time ago, don't think about it," Cha Junshik said. He was talking about his ex, of course. But that was a past story. He couldn't get back and return to that beautiful days with his lover of three years.

And he preferred to be alone anyway. Because romance was truly a troublesome and uncontrollable desire. 

Alpheus pouted instantly. He crossed his arms but still leaned on Sir Junshik Hyung's chest. He felt upset for some reason, even though he knew he had no right to be upset since Sir Junshik Hyung was extremely handsome and had a great cock for mating. So he must've had many mates before. 

Humans weren't tied with one person in their life, unlike the wolves like Alpheus. 

They had a thing called marriage. They would exchange vows to each other, hoping that would bind them as one, and maintained that monogamy… sometimes polygamy too, which happened a lot in a kingdom of humans in his world.

The king always had at least 1 wife and 10 mistresses or concubines. It was frowned upon—no, it was absolutely unbelievable for Alpheus' royal family to have someone other than their mate as their spouse. Some even went on unmarried for life because they couldn't find their mates, whether their mates died too early or were in love with someone else.

Alpheus should've understood that Sir Junshik Hyung had tons of admirers. But at the same time, he was grieving in his heart when he realized that he wasn't the first.

'Ugh, whoever that person is, I will bite his neck and tear him apart if we met! Sir Junshik Hyung is my one and only SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND, and I'm also his only SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND! He is not allowed to be close to other people! Urrgghhh!' Alpheus threw a small tantrum in his heart. But he didn't blatantly show it to Sir Junshik Hyung because he didn't want to disturb Sir Junshik Hyung, who started reading something on his laptop while still caressing Alpheus' hair. 

Meanwhile, Cha Junshik was busy checking the submission assignment from the students. He still caressed Alpheus' hair and fiddled with his furry ears until he suddenly heard the wolf growled in a low voice.
