"Ugh, that was a long night, Ellie, make sure you wash your face before bed okay?" I told her while patting her head; I went out of her room. I saw dad sighed heavily and touching his face as if he was troubled, "Dad, is there a problem?" I asked him, "Adam, it's a bit late but, no, there's no problem" he smiled and escorted me towards my room.

"Adam, sleep well." He turned off the lights and went out, I drifted to sleep.

I opened my eyes and went out of my room, today is Saturday, so I won't go to school on this day I sat on the dining chair and chanted good morning to my parents. "Adam, eat some greens, it'll help you." Mother passed me the vegetables and ate, Ellie came down late and lay at the couch, "Ellie, it's time for breakfast!" Mother shouted, Ellie did nothing and snored.

I stood up and put my plate on the sink, I approached Ellie and tapped her cheek, and she snored louder. "Ellie, you should stop pretending to be asleep" I looked at her, waiting to give up, she stopped and sat, "I'm going to eat later..." she stood up and went on the kitchen.

I looked at my mother and she shrugged, Ellie must have been tired from the party last night. Father went on with Ellie and asked, "Ellie, how have you been?" he put his arms to his hips, Ellie nodded and went upstairs. Our eyes followed Ellie as she went in her room.

I sighed and went outside to get some fresh air. I walked down the pavements, and looked at the narrow street, the man I met at that faithful day never came back, I clenched my fist and bit my lip.

'I am going to catch him! I am going to catch him!'

This world never deserve people like them taking their precious lives. I went in deeper in the narrow street, --!

"Oh, Adam I figured you would come here..." the man in mask approached me and chuckled, "Umm, Come and have a sit" he opened a door near him, I bit my lip thinking if I should run away or go with the flow since he doesn't show any threat. I followed the man and inside of the wall was a table filled with papers and maps, I looked around and books were there on the shelves.

"Er, so....this is our base for now, since your smart enough to understand the situation, I can let you in here anytime" he looked at me with a smile, "Why?" I immediately asked while clutching my fist, he looked shocked and for a while, he then nods. "You are a strange young boy who caught me red handed but instead you only looked at me and didn't run away that time." he patted my shoulders

"This world is full of mask and fake feelings, this is why I wear masks that cover my eyes somehow but, you saw it through me, you saw the side of me who thought this is all wrong." he sat on the chair and looked away, I just stood there silently, looking at how he is going to explain everything why he does this.

"I am not..." he spoke silently that I would need to get closer to hear what he is saying, ".....ahaha, never mind that just now" he crossed his arms and continued saying, "But, you should not fear me as anyone else would do, I am also just a normal guy with an normal mindset" he shoved me out of the room and waved goodbye, after what happened, I never visited him again.

I came back home late and as expected, they were all worried of me, "Adam, where have you been?!" Mother held my face tight at her arms, she almost cried and felt guilty of that, "I was just walking around the town...." I replied as she released me, Father laughed instead of getting worried, "My son here is seriously alike to me, he travels just like me and looks just like me!" he put his arms on his stomach and howled of laughter.

Ellie even started to cry and hugged me with her pet cat, I patted her head and sighed, she just nods and released me from her arms, "I'm hungry, what's for dinner tonight?" I asked and looked at Mother at the kitchen, she replied "Beef stew, is ready" she served the food with delight and prepared the table.

We ate dinner and it was time to sleep, Ellie is now finally acting normal, I sat on the chair looking at the window and thought about what happened earlier with the guy in mask, he gave me a reason of his killing and he never really showed any threat to me, I guess I should not report him to the police....but for real--he knew that what he did was wrong but he still intended to kill people anyway.

I am such a weird 7 years old boy, I think mature just like an adult would, I jumped on the bed and sighed, I guess I just think to much, I need to sleep to freshen these thoughts. I took my blanket and drifted to sleep.

"aaaaarrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!!!"

Clang! Tsing! Tap!

The sound of the swords clashing came ringing into the soldier's ears, soldiers who devote their lives on the line to win the war. Every second counts, people die, people live, a cycle that forever goes and goes and happens to everyone.

"Captain!" A soldier shouted

"Status report!!!" holding a sword he beheaded an enemy in front of him, blood squirted on his face

"Squad 1 and 2 are on the front lines sir, however squad 3 backed off because they're low of men!" the soldier replied

"Tell squad 2 to cover squad 3, Squad 1 come and cover me quick!" the captain shouted

"Yes sir! Huh--?"

"What's wrong?" the captain looked at the soldier

"Sir, are you--dreaming right now?--"

-----

"!!!" I opened my eyes and saw a ceiling, "What? That was a dream?" stood up from my bed and sighed, just thinking about what is happening right now makes me dizzy.

I walked down the stairs and looked at the living room, and no one was there. I sighed and went to the kitchen, there was a note on the table saying that all of them are going shopping. That's weird, they never go without me, I got this strange feeling that's making me  wonder, did I forget something?

Nah, that won't happen, besides....I have a lot to do for tomorrow's quiz at school. I took my things from my room and delivered it back to the living room, I continued to study for tomorrow and yet, someone knocked on the door.

I opened the door and no one was there, I looked back at the couch ad felt someone was looking at me, I decided to stop studying and look for my family--

"Over here."
