Chapter 1: The Beginning

Confused.

That was the feeling that Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and the students of Advanced Nurturing High School felt. After how things are happening right now where a while ago they were in class taking lessons and suddenly now they woke up in this strange-looking room.

Faced with this confusing event the students faced panic attacks due to the shifting of the situation which even Ayanokouji Kiyotaka himself did not fully understand.

Against the panic attacks felt by the current class, Hirata Yosuke as the class representative tried to calm his classmates down, and judging by the current situation the other class representatives were already trying to take action to calm the situation as well.

“Guys please calm down and don’t act recklessly, for now, it’s better to take a thorough look at the situation first.” Hirata Yosuke tried to calm his classmates down, although he was also confused about this incident, because as a class representative at least he had to show his classmates that being calm and logical for now was the best way.

Seeing that the class was trying to calm down by the class representative, Hirata Yosuke, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka tried to see the overall situation by observing their current room where they had just woken up from sleep.

Upon closer inspection, this strange-looking room turned out to be a theater with bright lights illuminating every corner of the theater. The theater is divided into several places with a stage in front which shows a large screen that can be seen from any position.

As can be seen from the situation where the theater is divided into four places that separate the first-year, second-year, and third-year, with how Ayanokouji Kiyotaka place currently contains not only his class, but also other classes led by Kakeru Ryueen, Sakayanagi Arisu, and Ichinose Honami. While the other two places contain the first-year such as Kazuomi Hosen and Tsubasa Nanase, while the other places contain the third-year such as Nagumo Miyabi and Kiryuin Fuka.

Another place might be a special place for teachers and school officials with a place containing teachers such as Sae Chabashira, Kazuma Sakagami, Chie Hoshinomiya, Tomonori Mashima, and several teachers who might teach first and third years. Even though this special place has some people who shouldn't be in school right now such as Horikita Manabu, Akane Tachibana, and Chairman Sakayanagi which is quite surprising because his place in this school is temporarily taken by Tsukishiro who is currently also in that special place, with person which he probably never thought of seeing after his recent visit to school.

Despite facing this confusing situation, the current situation of the students and teachers already seemed to show the stability of the situation against this incident with how the commotion that had occurred recently had subsided.

*Claps*

A sound of applause that reached every corner of the theater room was heard at this time, accompanied by the extinguishing of the lights that illuminate this theater room.

“Welcome everyone, ladies and gentlemen, to Theater Room. I'm Batler, I'll be hosting the Theater Room today, and you all can call me Batler.”

The sound of someone talking and introducing themselves was heard on the stage, accompanied by the lights that highlighted the person speaking on the stage.

Batler, that’s the name of the person, After the light focused on him, the appearance of the person on the stage became clear by how from the looks of it Batler was an old man who was estimated to be around forty years old and above with his posture still sturdy and equipped with a black and white butler clothes, with a face that revealed a natural smile and eyes that bore an extremely kind gaze that might melt a child heart.

For some reason that Ayanokouji Kiyotaka probably knew too, this Batler reminded him of his butler, Matsuo. Who also had a kind smile like this person called Batler, and maybe he wasn't the only one who thought that because of the reactions from 'That Person' in the special place and Tsubasa Nanase in the first year place.

“Before today event starts, I will give you three chance to ask any questions regarding today event. Please raise your hand if you have the desire to ask, and are expected to ask meaningful questions because the chance to ask questions are limited.”

Batler gives three chance to ask questions about what will be shown here because it only takes a few brain cells to understand that this theater room is dedicated to showing something, and somehow Ayanokouji Kiyotaka has a bad feeling that threatens his peaceful life.

After hearing the instructions given, several people from various seats raised their hands which included people like Chairman Sakayanagi, Tsukishiro, Ryueen, Nagumo Miyabi, and others who might be difficult to count if counted.

“Alright, First chance, I’ll give it to Sakayanagi Narumori.”

Chairman Sakayanagi, it’s a good thing this time because how his competence was shown during his first meeting with Ayanokouji Kiyotaka showed that at least his question should showed his life experience.

“The second chance, I give to Nagumo Miyabi.”

Nagumo Miyabi, Even if the priority is doubtful, the question of the Student Council President himself should show his wisdom because if the question is weightless it is estimated that his position will be dangerous with how the current situation.

“And for the last chance, I’ll give it to...... Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.”

Ouch. How to say his name in such a long pause shows some of these unkind intentions for him, and somehow his feelings tell that the peaceful life he always wanted is getting further and further away from him.

“First question, please.”

Batler gave instructions to ask Chairman Sakayanagi the first question, who was currently standing up from his seat to ask a question.

“Well, thanks for the chance given to me. I’d like to ask you the Host of this Theater Room, Batler, What will happen in this Theater Room. Thank you.” After asking the question, Chairman Sakayanagi sat back down and calmed himself down, as he understood that his question should at least provide information on the current situation.

That’s a very good question because asking it would summarize almost everything that will happen in this theater.

As expected of Chairman Sakayanagi he didn’t waste this opportunity. With how the reactions and responses of the students and teachers probably most of them also agree with him.

“What will happen in this Theater Room, that’s an interesting question. Well, I’ll answer your question, Sakayanagi Narumori. As you can see here, this Theater Room only serves one thing, which is to broadcast anything that can be broadcast. In this theatre. Everything that is shown here is guaranteed to be safe for the mental and physical capacities of the students and all present.”

An answer that counts with how Batler answers this question, by providing mental calm to Chairman Sakayanagi who may be worried about the plight of the students and teachers in this theater, and this answer demonstrates Batler ability to handle information and demonstrates that even if Batler allows asking questions, whatever in the scope of today’s event, he can answer questions with a little leak of information on today’s event.

“Next question.”

Now it was Nagumo Miyabi turn who was currently standing from him seat to ask a question, whether he could give a meaningful question today that might put him career as Student Council President at risk.

“My question here is, are there any rules that at least serve as guidelines in this Theater Room, and what are the consequences of breaking them? Thank you.”

A good question posed by Nagumo Miyabi, it seems that even in the face of the pressure of this confusing situation, Nagumo Miyabi can still keep himself strong.

“For this Theater Rooms, there are Three Rules:

First, Don’t be noisy.

Second, Do Not Disturb.

Third, Enjoy.

And the consequences for breaking the rules are dependent on the level of the audience. If the violation is minor, at least the Offenders will be forcibly neutralized temporarily, and while for serious violations which can threaten the sustainability of this Theater Room, we the theater will take firm steps to neutralize the threat permanently.”
Batler answered with a smile that had been this was still plastered on his face, he was currently saying things that might be considered a threat. His threat might not be something that could be taken lightly because how this Theater Room was able to bring the students, teachers, and even ‘that person’ here, might have power and influence on a global level.

After hearing the undisguised threat, the theater became quiet again and the atmosphere became slightly tense.

“Hahaha, why are all of you so tense, don’t take it too seriously because there’s no way you all broke such a simple rule right...?” Trying to lighten up the theater atmosphere by doing some jokes which may be difficult for some to digest because of how there is no change in Batler always smiling facial expression.

“Next I’m hmm...” Ayanokouji Kiyotaka whispered to himself, because the current situation was so confusing caused by Batler, he never once had the intention to ask a question, but fate had a way for him because somehow Batler chose him out of the many. People who raise their hands to ask questions.

“Kiyotakaa....” Karuizawa Kei worried voice sounded beside Kiyotaka Ayanokouji ear, after hearing that worried voice, he saw the seat beside him on his right occupied by Karuizawa Kei who was currently making a worried expression towards her boyfriend.

“It’s okay, Kei. Surely you have confidence in your boyfriend, don’t you?” Ayanokouji Kiyotaka answered slightly teasing his cute girlfriend.

“But...” Even after being teased by her boyfriend, Karuizawa Kei still couldn’t shake off her worries.

“Trust me.” Ayanokouji Kiyotaka answered while looking into her eyes and didn’t forget to pat his girlfriend head to ease her worries.

“Ahh mou... Why do you always tease me when I can’t tease you back? Baka!” Karuizawa Kei turned her face red from her boyfriend unbearable teasing.

Head Pat.

After calming his girlfriend down, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka readied himself to ask the question that he at least tried to find with a little bit of his mental capacity.

Because the seating positions are ordered by class rank, second-year Class D is currently getting the backmost and topmost position according to the seating location in this theater. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Karuizawa Kei sat right in the top left corner facing the front adjacent to First-year Class D, which was why he was able to understand the seating structure quickly because right next to him were Tsubasa Nanase and Kazuomi Housen.

“Next question.”

After hearing Batler instructions, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka got up from his seat and for the first time getting the attention of all the students and teachers in his life at this school.

*Breathe In* *Exhale*

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka faintly adjusted his breathing to make it easier to speak in front of many people at this time.

“Kiyotaka... Fight.” His girlfriend voice sounded again in his ears, but instead of the sound of worry, he heard again a voice that seemed to cheer him up now. After hearing his girlfriend cute voice, there’s no way he would disappoint his girlfriend right?

“Hmm. The question is, what will be shown in this theater? Thank you.” After asking question Ayanokouji Kiyotaka sat back down and heard many sighs of relief because this question could at least provide information in preparing for whatever was shown in the future.

“What will be shown in this theater? That is of course anything that can be shown in this theater.” Batler answered his question still with a pleasant smile although for some reason his smile carried a sense of sarcasm.

“Hmm...” Ayanokouji Kiyotaka who might have expected an answer like this a little after how he heard the answer to the first question which although seemed to answer according to the question but provided very little information, couldn’t help but sigh at Batler answer.

“Is this old man serious in answering his question?” A certain purple hair from Class A spoke.

“Kukuku, What interesting thing can be shown here to have to give such a vague answer.” A certain Dragon-boy spoke with clear suspicion in his tone, even though it sounded sarcastic.

“Batler-san, can you answer a little more specifically? If you may.” A certain Snake-kun asked a question after getting a whisper from a certain Princess from Class A.

“Who knows?” Batler replied still with a smile although it was now clear that he enjoyed answering sarcastically.

After hearing his answer almost everyone who expected a specific answer lost interest because it was obvious, Batler had no intention of providing information that took away the surprise factor here.

Somehow after hearing Batler answer, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka felt a terrible thing was about to happen because in his view now The peaceful life he had always been looking for would disappear was taken away by this Batler because somehow the answer he gave felt familiar to his ears.

*Claps*

Clapping as before to bring back the audience focus, Batler moved off the stage so as not to block the screen that would show whatever he was going to show here.

“Alright, now that all the preparations are done let’s watch the Episode One Theater Room, Equality.”

After saying those words, everyone in the theater now turned their attention to the screen on the stage, which was currently showing the view of the bus stop on a clear morning and the cherry blossoms flying in the streets.

[ It’s a bit sudden, but listen seriously to the question I’m about to ask and think about the answer carefully.

Question: Are people equal or not? ]

Goodbye, my peaceful life.

Alright, this is my first fanfiction work, so if there is a grammatical error and the description of the situation is not good, I will correct it slowly, which is offset by this learning experience.

Name Batler, I use the word Butler, and I changed the meaning of the word a little.

After the prologue chapter, I will minimize the use of full names such as Ayanokouji Kiyotaka being changed to Ayanokouji, and Karuizawa Kei being changed to Karuizawa.

The point of view that I use in this novel is the third person point of view which I focus on Ayanokouji Kiyotaka point of view.

From chapter one through chapter ten, I will use scenes from the first and two volume of the original novel to provide the first step for easy understanding.
