Chapter 29: Ch29: ‘I will prove that your shock is ineffective’

Ryan had come to the black market to find out about corrupt people in Cape city. He took a seat in the information dealing department of a black market company. Ryan was shocked to see his master seated beside him. He never ever in his dreams thought that his grandmaster would go to the black market.

But more than that he was interested to learn why a grandmaster was visiting the black market. Ryan was cautious to not reveal his identity in front of his master. He praised himself that he was able to hide his identity from a grandmaster. The information keeper took Ryan's order and went to search for the information. Meanwhile, an information keeper went to help grandmaster Leo.

"What would you like sir?" the information keeper asked the customer seated beside Ryan and Ryan was hearing them with full focus.

Master Leo replied, "I am looking to build a team of martial masters to get the inheritance in the south of Cape city" Leo Albano was loud enough for all the customers to hear the sentence. Everyone who was inside the information department looked at master Leo. The information keeper gave a weird look to master Leo. She apologized for not being able to fulfill his request. Master Leo looked at Ryan for a second.

He got up from his place and went out of the information department. Everyone was looking at the unknown man going out of the information department. They felt that the man released a secret by mistake. Ryan knew it was purposely done by his master. The black market and information department was the best place to spread a rumor among the martial artists of Cape city. He was wondering why master Leo leaked the information.

The information was about emperor Darien's hall. Leave martial warriors, even grandmasters won't be able to go outside the hall without the emperor's permission. Ryan and Max were righteous Consitution holders, that is why emperor Darien was kind towards them. But for others stepping into the hall was like activating the trial of inheritance and dying in the same place. He could tell from emperor Darien's character that he would not let the martial artists live.

The question Ryan had in his mind which he could not find or think of an answer to the question 'What would grandmaster Leo earn from doing this ?' Ryan could not find any logical answer to that question. Ryan saw his master going out and then he disappeared like usual. Ryan didn't get the answer, he could always ask it directly to emperor Darien.

Ryan knew he had made a good reputation in front of the emperor. Many of the people who were inside seating in front of information keepers asked to confirm what the man had just told about inheritance. There was no proper answer from the information keepers, it had happened so unexpectedly. It led to a discussion among the customers.

As Ryan was in deep thought,  the information keeper came to him and handed him a file of the most corrupted people in Cape city. The file of the corrupted people cost him a good amount. The black market was sure expensive.

After getting out of the black market tent, Ryan dashed out of the black market. He didn't want people to follow him. There was news that people who buy stuff from the black market are followed to rob the stuff that they bought from the black market to sell to the tents and make a good profit. Soon, he stepped out of the black market but still, he didn't slow his speed. Ryan was enjoying his new speed and jumping and running like a little kid.

He stumbled upon someone by mistake. He was thrown back by the strength of the expert in front of him. He fell two steps back and partially rolled. The person was stronger than him. Ryan opened his eyes and saw his master in front of him. 'It was naive of me to think of hiding his identity from a grandmaster.' Ryan thought to himself as he looked at his master.

"Next time, let me know before you step inside the black market. Don't you know students are not allowed to get out of the institute without permission." the Grandmaster ordered and shouted at Ryan.

Ryan got up and nodded. He wanted to ask about the rumor that his grandmaster had just spread around the black market.

"Learn from your experience, when you touched the bow, you paid the price for not listing to your master. The bow fell on the ground and you again got a shock and somehow managed to lift the bow and keep the bow in its place. If you had listened to me, this wouldn't happen".

The master taught a lesson to his student. But Ryan didn't understand the lesson. How can he tell what happened in combat building 10 with such confidence even after the grandmaster left the place? Ryan had a slight feeling his master was suppressing him.

Ryan was not sure but he was not going to give him a chance to suppress him or get him under control. It was time to prove his worth. Ryan recalled he had given an exam to become the disciple of the grandmaster.

"if was because of the shock that the bow fell from my hands. I will play with every treasure in combat building 10 by next week. I will prove that your shock is ineffective in front of me." Ryan directly challenged master Leo's order. Ryan needed to prove his worth in front of the grandmaster.

"Very well but if you could not do it, you follow my orders without question" grandmaster Leo didn't ask for confirmation from Ryan. He just disappeared in front of Ryan. Ryan's new master surely got angry seeing such rude behavior from his new disciple. Ryan didn't care about his master's face when master Leo disappeared from the place. Rather Ryan was interested to have the power to disappear from one spot and appear in another.
