Chapter 182: Powerful Foreign Celestials

“So you’ve heard of us then, Mr. Lu,” Yin Hu said.

“I know a thing or two.”

Lu Xuan nodded, recalling the rumors he heard about the Celestials back in his past life.

To put it precisely, the Celestials was not a product of Huaxia, but an organization established after the world had gotten into the era of cultivation.

Other than the sects and clans that had been around for ages, as well as powerful super-government agencies like the Special Task Force, the Celestials was yet another form of such organizations.

Such a type of organization, precisely put, comprised of the cutting-edge elites from all over the world at the current stage.

Members could probably hail from a variety of sects and clans, but there may also be some lone, elite cultivators unlike any others being among their ranks as well.

Every single member could possibly have backing from a top-notch cultivation force.

The Dragon Soul was one of those Celestials type organizations, with a great many top-notch fighters found within.

Yin Hu, for instance, was a member of such an organization.

Other than the Dragon Soul, there were also other Celestials from other countries, like the Brahmans from India and the Amaterasu-gumi from Japan.

All members of the Celestials were some of the topmost fighters to be found in the world without exception. Being anything less would mean that membership was totally out of the question.

Of course, the fighters of such a top-notch caliber did not gather around for fun. They gathered so that they were able to join forces with organizations or individuals that were equally as powerful. With every single fighter in their ranks having monster-like organizations of old behind them, a very, very terrifying alliance would be formed when those fighters banded together.

Yin Hu, for example, was most probably backed by the Northern Shaolin Temple.

Said temple was one of the greatest cultivation forces to be found in the current world of cultivation. It was only, naturally, for the temple to be so given how they had an Invincible Vajra among their ranks.

But then again, all members wore masks when dealing with each other, and they rarely expose their true identities in their dealing. Such manner of dealing with others was not limited to the Dragon Soul, as even the likes of the Brahmans, the Amaterasu-gumi, and many others, operated in such manners as well.

The culture became an unspoken consensus. There was simply no way one would have known of the members’ true face without killing the members in question.

That was because there might actually be shocking identities concealed behind those masks.

Such people were known collectively as the Celestials.

The powers the Celestials was extremely formidable, and they were all from different factions.

From what Lu Xuan learned back in his past life, Huaxia had apparently become the foremost target for organizations of Celestials.

The advent of the era of cultivation made it clear that Huaxia was definitely among the best, be it in terms of population numbers and quality of cultivators found.

While the population of India was high, there were still a lot of illiterate people around, and the number of untouchables was extremely staggering. Those deemed eligible for cultivation and actually able to cultivate, remained among the likes of Brahmans and Kshatriyas, who were only a handful. Making cultivation a common culture available to all was simply out of the question.

Under such circumstances, Huaxia, with a population reaching well over a billion, became a thorn at the side of many other countries.

“If you know about us, Mr. Lu, I assume that you’d naturally know of our current predicament.”

Yin Hu sounded rather bitter as he spoke.

“Despite our best efforts, there are still increasingly many foreign Celestials coming into the country. There were already five lesser sects destroyed within just two months, whose literature and legacies were looted without leaving anything behind. There had also been quite a few legacy ruins being robbed by these foreign celestials.”

Yin Hu sounded rather jaded when he said that. He would have had nothing to fear if those people were to be just common cultivators from overseas.

However, members of those Celestial organizations were different, with every single member posing enough threat to make him having to take them seriously. Even members of the outer circle of such organizations would at least be at Level Eight Deity Level, as that was the lowest requirement for becoming an outer circle member and reserve candidates for becoming official members.

Yin Hu was no way as powerful as Lu Xuan. He was nowhere near being formidable enough to kill a Celestial with only one single punch.

Such levels of powers were deemed legendary even among the many Celestial organizations.

Such individuals were legends in themselves.

The Dragon Soul comprised of top-notch fighters who intended to protect Huaxia, but they had their hands full running around dealing with the increasingly higher number of foreign Celestials.

But then again, the Dragon Soul was not the only organization taking on the foreign Celestials, as there was also the Special Task Force and many powerful forces whose interests were threatened by foreign invasion.

The Dragon Soul had organized several operations, and effectiveness was limited. There was no way foreign Celestials could enter the country en masse in the first place, and there might only be three to five such foreign Celestials coming in at any one time. Trying to find that bit of people in the country that was so vast was akin like finding a needle in haystacks.

Worse still, every single one of the foreign Celestials was terrifying. The likes of the White Ape King alone was able to easily kill over 10,000 people in one go, and Celestials capable of easily traversing between one city to another was simply uncatchable.

Taking on and killing such Celestials required nothing short of fighters of similar levels teaming up.

If one were to simply take on the foreign Celestials, whose numbers seemed to be bottomless, all alone, one could have possibly even ended up killed.

“I’ve tracked this guy for a long time and ambushed him many times, but none of that worked. Worse still, I ended up being the one getting set up this time instead. If it hadn’t been for you, Mr. Lu, I would have probably ended up dead here today,” Yin Hu said.

“Regardless, thank you for saving me, Mr. Lu.”

Lu Xuan waved dismissively and said, “Eh, that’s nothing. I can’t believe that guy would dare to throw his weight around despite being only an Invincible Vajra. Did he really think Huaxia was some small country that he could do as he pleased with?”

Lu Xuan knew very well how such organizations behaved as if they owned the place wherever they went, especially such organizations from large countries, whose top-notch fighters were found in staggering numbers and backed by their governments. It made it so that they had no problems nailing whatever smaller countries they hit. Said smaller countries probably did not even have a fighter at such Celestial level among them, and even the likes of presidents have gotten their heads chopped off in the middle of the night.

Such occurrences were commonplace. Such organizations were backed by their governments precisely because they could be deployed for taking care of things, that governments were unable to take care of on the surface.

Such cultivators were so powerful that they became able to take on a division single-handedly. To smaller countries, such individuals were nothing short of nuclear bombs with legs.

In contrast, Huaxia was deemed a place off-limits to such maneuvers in the eyes of those smaller countries.

“We’re simply too short-staffed. The foreign Celestials were long gone by the time we got on site a lot of times. Apprehending them just proved too difficult.”

Yin Hu wore a bitter smile.

The Celestials were simply too powerful, and they were capable of easily killing with a single strike. There was no way fights could hold out until Yin Hu and his compatriots get to the scene.

Apprehending those foreign Celestials had been impossibly difficult.

“As such, I would like to hereby extend my invitation on behalf of the organization to you, Mr. Lu, to join our ranks.”
