It's been a few minutes since the red gate has been completely contained. They already cleaned up the monster carcasses and the robots have been monitoring the area since then.

The robot who helped Adrian then flew over beside him.

"You're not leaving yet, mister."

"I'm just trying to monitor the situation."

"It's okay, we got this. After all, what if others knew of your true identity?"

"They wouldn't."

"Are you confident because of that mask? Mister Marcus Zheng?"

Adrian emit murderous intent and said, "Did you just hack the database of the Player's Association?"

With a lifelike voice, the robot replied with a nonchalant attitude. "What's wrong with that? The Phoenix Guild has some form of authority over all the branches of the Player's Association anyway, right?"

"You…!" Adrian's voice quivered in anger as he clenched his fists.

"Especially when there's somebody's pulling the strings from the inside, right?"

"What exactly do you want from me?"

"Join the Phoenix Guild, we'll assure your growth as a Player."

"And if I say no?"

The voice suddenly changed to a youthful one. "Are you saying you're rejecting our offer? You're the second one, Adrian."

His eyes widened, he recognizes this voice, this is the successor of the first Guild Master of the Phoenix Guild. Number 3, Norsa.

"You're…"

"What do you expect, these are my robots, I can take over their minds anytime I want."

Adrian froze, he don't know what to say to this man. As if he angered him, despite his calm demeanor, Norsa can turn him into dust the second he gets angered.

"I'm not here to do any bad thing to you, Adrian, I just saw that you could be a powerful Player someday. Besides, don't you miss me?"

Adrian thought, it's true, years ago he was close to this man when the latter was still not that powerful as a player. He tinkered with machines and got powerful over time, he saw his achievements as a kid and was inspired by him.

"Can you give me what I want?" Adrian spoke.

"Of course, money, fame, anything."

"And what will I have to pay those with?"

"Loyalty to us"

"To the Phoenix Guild?"

"Yes, to the strongest Guild in the world. I know you're jealous to your brothers, you have big ambitions. I know your pain, join us and we'll handle everything. We'll support you from the shadows, we'll help you with your fame and influence, we'll handle any hiccups, problems and cover-ups. All you have to do is make some achievements."

"Like what?"

"Going into gates? Fighting otherworldly threats? Anything, its all up to you. Just make some achievements and we'll handle its publicity. Not a bad deal, right?"

Adrian felt like his head was aching. If he accept this, he will be bound to the Guild, although that's not too bad in itself. If he don't, he'll be just like many super rookies that were forgotten after some time.

"You'll secretly join the guild, and as you make achievements, we'll generate clout. Not a bad plan. And we can talk about the contract later." Norsa added.

However, Adrian was still hesitating.

Norsa chuckled at him "Do you know how many thousands of players wanted to be part of the main forces of the Guild? Many S-ranks are even rejected, and you're still hesitating?"

Feeling pressured, Adrian nodded, "Fine. I'll join you."

"Good. Talents like you must always go to the Guild and nowhere else. All right, goodbye then, I'll be contacting you later~" Norsa wave the robot's hand and stopped from controlling it.

"You finally agreed to my master, I'll be going then, Mister Zheng."

Adrian's mouth twitched beneath the mask, he wasn't sure if the robot was just being sarcastic.

He was preparing to leave. Every person in the area has been evacuated long ago and this area is now under surveillance and is being closed off. As soon as he got inside his car, the device inside his car that resembles a small smartwatch rang. He promptly accepted the call from the unknown number nonchalantly. "Hello?" Adrian spoke and a face popped up on the hologram shot by the device.

Norsa's face showed up. "Hey~"

Adrian forced a smile. "I thought you'll be contacting me later?"

"It's already a few minutes wasn't it?"

“Whatever. What is it this time, is it about the contract?”

"Nope. I have a mission for you."

"Mission?"

"What? I thought you're already part of the guild?"

"Yeah I am…"

"You're going to the level 10 dungeon right?"

"Yes… and?"

"I want you to team up with a group there. Just finish the mission together."

"Who are they?"

"Just some group affiliated with the lower guilds. Also, there's a certain special person there. The Snow Princess, ya know her?"

"Yeah, I do know her… she's there? Do you want me to protect her?"

"Nope. Just telling. Anyway, just go there. They won't question you, they know you already."

"Got it. I'll be going there."

Adrian quickened up and with his fast car, he arrived there. He goes to a parking lot to leave his car before going to the dungeon's building which is near so that he won't be attracting attention.

He entered through the main entrance and donned his mask inside. Hiding one's identity is not really against the law but one's identity must be known to the association to avoid trouble and since the association is handled by a powerful A.I it is very rare for people's data to be stolen especially for those that had hidden their personal information. Only mechanics at least half of Norsa's power can infiltrate the database only for a few seconds before being forcefully shut down and terminated by the A.I.

From the distance, there is a bulky man waving to Adrian with a smile on his face. "Hey! You, masked guy! Over here!"

Seeing him, Adrian quickened his pace and arrived in front of them.

His smartwatch rang and he saw Norsa's message. [That's them].

"Seriously, he can see me here?" His device rang once again. [And hear too].

*Maybe I should just shut up*. Adrian thought to himself.
