While waiting for his hair to dry, the young man's thoughts drifted along his sea of consciousness.
Without any prompt, the voyage ended up stopping by at the world of Wat.
---
Wat is a world of magic.
In this world, sorcerers are the supreme ideal.
Power, be it politics, economics, or the military, can only be wielded by one who is capable of wielding the arcane art of sorcery.
And in this world, lived a man known as Lucas Eisen.
Unlike the young man, whose name is not even worth mentioning, Lucas Eisen was extraordinary.
Born as the second son of Count Eisen, Lucas showed extraordinary talent in magic when he was only 5 years old.
It was said that he first learned his spell, Fireball, when he saw one of his family's servant shovel coals into the furnace for winter heating.

Apparently, he gleaned the natural laws of the world from such a mundane action, after which he inferred the magical signature needed to invoke simplest of fire spells.
Ah, now this is a genius, thought the young man as he sank further into the story.
After hearing such an absurd story, his father thought it but the bootlicking of his servants.
It wasn't until he saw Lucas invoke Fire lash, the next step after learning Fireball, that he finally jumped for joy over his family's good fortune.
"Finally, another sorcerer from the Eisen family! 200 years have passed since Sir Liner Eisen, and now, we finally have someone to take his mantle!"
Crying out with happiness, the Count declared a week long holiday for this fortuitous event.
And once the festivities have ended, the Count immediately sent notice to the capital, telling them of his magically gifted child, his intention to rewrite the inheritance order, and his plea for a sorcerer to come and teach his son the art of sorcery.
At the capital, friends of the Count rejoiced with his good fortune, while his enemies were concerned on how this will change the standings of each family under the reigning monarch's rule. The request for a sorcerer tutor was also approved by the Board of Sorcerers, sending out Sir Filn Kurt, assistant professor for the pyro arts at the University of Sir Newman Ayethon, the 3rd ranked university in the whole world. This showed how much the sorcerer community looked at this situation highly, sending a renowned and competent sorcerer to work as a tutor for an underage kid.
And thus began the start of Lucas' road to sorcery.
