Chapter 3: Ch.1 : A terrible novel (1)

"What do you think you are doing to Phenia, Lear!!"

A young man's roar resounded in the luxurious mansion of the Cabares family which is the United Kingdom of Albane's top five wealthy families. The amethyst-eyed woman shone with sorrow and looked at the young man who is her husband, hugging another woman tenderly.

The man was Draven Ernest, now Draven Cabares, and the other woman was Lear's new maid, Phenia Talcum.

Lear looked at the picture in front of her with the pain in her heart. How much did she love that man? Will he know? Why did he have to hurt her like this? Is it wrong for her to rightly defend her position beside him? until he accidentally hurt that woman, the person who came later but got all his heart.

What did she do wrong?

"Lear, I will divorce you. Sign the divorce papers!!"

Draven's words, like lightning, hit her heart. The tears that she had been holding back couldn't stop flowing. She turned to look at Draven's assistant, who had walked towards her, handing over the divorce papers, which had Draven's signature on them. Only her signature remained. This document will be in full complete.

No!! I'm not giving up!!

Lear took out the divorce papers and ripped them apart while staring at Draven with vengeful eyes.

"I'm not divorced!! If you want to be together a lot. Let's stay together as an adulterer!"

Draven heard Lear's words then he gritted his teeth with anger. After that, he grimaced and said in a cold tone.

"Then— I'll use the authority of the leader of the Cabares family to kick you out of this mansion due to Lear Cabares committed a serious crime by attempting to kill Phenia Talcum who is the innocent maid."

Lear's eyes widened in shock. Her amethyst purple eyes met Draven's cold amber eyes with a broken heart. She had never imagined that she would be kicked out of the mansion where she was born.

"No!! I'm not going. Aaaah— let me go!! Don't touch me!!"

Lear is crazy crying with eyes filled with tears. Her silver hair which used to be sleek long and flowing is now a tangled mess. Her bruised body and heart were dragged out of the mansion by the Cabares Knights according to Draven's command. Losing the image of the beautiful young lady of the Cabares family.

Swooosh!!! Bang!!

The sound of books flying through the air and crashing against the walls of the room resounded along with the body of Lear who was panting. She stood looking at the novel she had just obtained from the mysterious old woman with anger in her eyes.

"What kind of madness is this!! What kind of protagonists are they!! Let me die!! It's just a sly, cold-blooded, greedy man. As for the female lead, it's just a girl who doesn't know any responsibility secretly adultery with the other husbands, that's all!!"

After shouting to express her emotions about the novel she just read. And coincidentally, the villainess of the story has a name like hers. This made her feel more inner emotional than usual, even though she wasn't usually angry easily. The proof was that she was able to tolerate Elna's ironically insult every day without even responding.

"Oh, my goddess!! This is the worst novel out of millions and millions of novels I've read, idiot! The ending was happy with the female lead!! Despite them snatching everything from the villainess!! Bastard!!"

Lear walked over to pick up the novel that had just been thrown away and stared at it with an unsatisfied look in her eyes.

" Hey!! Lear!! What the matter? Why are you acting like you're angry with someone like that? Or what did Elna do to you, again?"

While Lear was scolding her words in her mind to a novel. Lear's close friend, Ya li, called out to Lear at the front door withholding something up as soon as Lear saw her expression and mood suddenly change like turning the palm of her hand.

"Ya Li!! That's it!!"

Lear carelessly threw that novel on the table. She ran to Ya Li and grabbed a paper bag with a cute logo emblazoned on it. Then smiled with sparkling eyes.

" What's up? Do you like it?"

"This is it!! More than satisfying, thanks."

Those items were Lear's favorite cookies that she likes to spend time reading books because she was unable to leave the area of this house. And, the only way she tastes delicious cookies is from her best friend Ya Li bought them for her.

" But what are you angry about?"

Ya Li looked at her friend who happily hugged the bag of snacks. Before asking, she glanced at the book placed on the table.

"Hmm— that book, where did you get it from? I remember I had never seen that book."

"Oh— I just got it from a strange old grandmother yesterday. When I read it, I almost wanted to throw it away immediately."

Lear glimpsed at the novel with an unsatisfied look in her eyes.

"Haha— then I'll find a new one for you."

"Um— thanks. If it wasn't for you, I would have been bored certainly."

"It's okay, oh!! I have to go, today is my cue to go there. If I'm not hurrying, it must be late for sure."

"Um, see yah."

Lear stood looking at her best friend who waved goodbye to her with a smile. Before turning around and walking into the house in a good mood humming without forgetting to take the unfortunate novel go with her.
