Ch40 - What are you, scared?

The Sea of Awareness was where a cultivator’s Divine Consciousness resided. It’s the deepest part of one’s consciousness, the most sensitive and vulnerable place.

Although the name was called Sea of Awareness, not everyone’s Sea of Awareness was an ocean. The Sea of Awareness can change according to each cultivator’s level, personality, and even subjective mental state.

Back then, Feng Ci had once entered Pei QianYue’s Sea of Awareness to pacify his inner demon. That place was a roaring ocean shrouded by dark clouds.

Feng Ci’s Sea of Awareness, however, wasn’t like that.

Feng Ci’s Sea of Awareness was a serene ginkgo forest.

Fallen golden leaves covered the ground. The sunlight passed through the treetops and filtered into warm and gentle rays.

Pei QianYue quietly appeared inside this forest.

Stepping on the soft grass and fallen leaves, he slowly walked deeper into the forest.

When sleeping soundly, a cultivator’s Sea of Awareness was also tranquil.

Under normal circumstances, Feng Ci naturally would have noticed someone entering his Sea of Awareness. Unfortunately, he was really intoxicated today and also slept very heavily. Adding the fact that he has never been very guarded against Pei QianYue, that’s why this person was able to sneak through the gap.

The forest created within his Sea of Awareness was enormous. However, Pei QianYue didn’t walk very far before finding the person he was searching for.

In the middle of the forest, there was a vast lake. The blue waters of the lake shimmered and gleamed under the bright sunlight. Inside a pavilion next to the lake, there was a bamboo couch that was covered by a soft velvet blanket.

Silk curtains with bamboo shades hung around the four sides of the pavilion. The half lowered bamboo curtains blocked the sunlight perfectly while not obstructing the wonderful view of the surrounding scenery.

A breeze came from the lake. The silk curtains fluttered and leisurely passed on a sense of coolness.

The person Pei QianYue was searching for was currently lying on that bamboo couch.

Pei QianYue walked towards the pavilion. Right at this time, a gust of wind blew open the silk curtains outside, revealing a hand that dangled over the side of the bamboo couch.

Despite also being in a half-transparent Divine Conscious state, it’s still possible to see that this was an extremely beautiful hand. The fingers were well-shaped and slender, thin and powerful, completely unlike the slender, fragile fingers of a teenager.

Pei QianYue halted in his steps.

That time on LinXian Terrace, Feng Ci had once left his body in his Divine Conscious state in search of Pei QianYue. During that time, he had specifically changed his appearance to avoid being recognized, transforming his Divine Consciousness to look like Lu JingMing.

But now, inside the depths of his own sleeping Sea of Awareness, naturally his Divine Conscious revealed his real appearance.

Laying inside this pavilion… was Feng Ci’s true form.

Pei QianYue’s breathing turned slightly chaotic.

Most of the high praises that the world held for Grandmaster QianQiu focused on his merits and cultivation level, as well as his contribution to the later generations. However, very few people remembered that back then, before he had become the revered Saint Sovereign QianQiu, Feng Ci had once held the famous title of ‘the most beautiful in the world’.

However, thousands of years have passed already. No matter how beautiful he was, his image could only be turned into paintings or carvings. Those ordinary, unremarkable portraits were incapable of reproducing his original image properly.

Not to mention, Saint Sovereign QianQiu was the Grandmaster of the cultivation world. He was worshiped by all. Evaluating him by his appearance was a kind of offense.

With the passage of time, the true appearance of Grandmaster QianQiu has actually become very vague in the hearts of the public.

Only Pei QianYue still remembers.

Pei QianYue slowed his steps and quietly walked into the pavilion.

The young man was curled up on his side on the couch soundly asleep, one hand dangling outside. His hair was soft, silky and very long, touching the ground. A few disheveled strands fell in front of his forehead, half covering and half revealing that handsome and aloof face.

Feng Ci has always praised Pei QianYue for his beautiful face. However, Pei QianYue was a snake demon(妖) who had transformed after all. There was a dark and sinister tang to his beauty. With the addition of his austere and ice-cold personality, his beauty looked intimidating and dangerous.

Feng Ci wasn’t the same.

Feng Ci continued to sleep very deeply. He only wore a plain white robe that was soft and thin, no shoes. Under his robes, he revealed a smooth and slender ankle, which rested on a blanket that was also plain white.

Pei QianYue placed a hand over it.

In the Divine Conscious state, even the sensation of the simplest touch was magnified countless times. When Pei QianYue rubbed that smooth ankle with the pads of his fingers, Feng Ci immediately furrowed his brow and subconsciously released a quiet moan in his sleep.

The ankle, which felt cool to touch under his palm, retracted slightly. Pei QianYue’s breathing became heavier uncontrollably.

Such an aloof and pristine person. The more he was like this, the more he made people wish to desecrate him.

Wanting to drag him down into the mundane world, wanting to see his face stained with worldly desires, wanting to see him struggle and drown, unable to control himself.

Pei QianYue’s breathing turned even heavier as he leaned down over the young man on the couch. Playing with the smooth ankle under his palm and turning the small area of that skin slightly red, he finally inched his hand upwards slowly.

The thin robe on the young man was soft like silk, creating a delicate sensation under his palm.

Pei QianYue moved extremely patiently. Feng Ci knitted his brow in his sleep. Wanting to struggle yet looking like he had lost strength, he only let out a very faint whimper.

Just like how Pei QianYue put his physical body into a deep sleep to control his unrestrained inner demon, right now Feng Ci’s physical body was extremely intoxicated. With his physical body unable to wake up, his Divine Consciousness, naturally, could only continue to sleep deeply.

It didn’t take long for the young man’s originally fair-white face to be stained with a faint red.

His body trembled and shrunk away to hide, but a hand circled around him, pulled him back, and pressed him completely onto the soft recliner.

Pei QianYue looked down at him from above, his long hair falling downwards and landing next to Feng Ci’s side.

He finally withdrew his misbehaving hand. Yet now that his movement stopped, the soundly asleep young man, on the contrary, seemed a bit reluctant and unconsciously jolted upwards, as if chasing the feeling. Pei QianYue ignored him. The tips of his fingers slowly glided across that handsome and flawless face and then picked up a strand of Feng Ci’s hair. Lifting it in front of his nose, he took a gentle whiff.

And trembled slightly.

As if he was doing his best to restrain something.

“Still not waking up?” Pei QianYue spoke quietly, voice terrifyingly hoarse: “If I really took you in this place……”

Pei QianYue smoothed the disheveled strands of hair on Feng Ci’s forehead to the back. The expression on Pei QianYue’s handsome face was tense, practically unable to hold back a certain terrifying desire.

“……Pei QianYue.”

Pei QianYue abruptly halted in his movements.

The young man still didn’t wake up. He was only mumbling in his sleep, quietly and gently calling that name.

“Say it again.” Pei QianYue’s voice was low and raspy.

Feng Ci didn’t respond.

His head turned to the side, as if he had already returned to his deep sleep. Pei QianYue cupped his cheeks, chest rising and falling violently: “Feng Ci…… Master…… Say it again.”

Feng Ci seemed to have been annoyed by him.

The young man frowned deeply and said quietly: “So disobedient……”

“Annoying……”

“Keep taking advantage of my doting for you……”

Pei QianYue’s tense expression finally loosened.

He chuckled quietly: “That’s right. I’m purposely taking advantage of your doting for me. You clearly know this……”

Clearly knew Pei QianYue’s intentions towards him; yet every time, he’d still allowed Pei QianYue to do whatever he wanted, behaving completely unguarded against him. He’d always verbally promised to teach Pei QianYue a lesson, yet physically, he was reluctant to lay a heavy hand, turning soft-hearted every single time.

With a smile on the corners of his lips. Pei QianYue lowered his head and placed a kiss on the young man’s forehead.

His movement extremely light, as if touching something extraordinarily cherished.

As soon as he woke up, Feng Ci sensed that something didn’t seem right.

But with the hangover, his brain was still very sluggish. Momentarily, he couldn’t figure out exactly what was wrong. Pinching the center of his aching and throbbing brows, he sat up. The room that Broken Sword Manor arranged for him was very elegant. Although it didn’t match the luxury of the wealthy Xue estate, it was still much better than the simple and crude disciple’s residence in LangFeng City.

Feng Ci raised his eyes and swept his gaze around the room. The first thing he saw was the spherical confinement array in the corner.

The little black snake’s slender, thin body was curled up at the bottom of the sphere. Its head lifted high in the air. Noticing Feng Ci’s gaze, it even flicked its tail softly.

Looking utterly pitiful and miserable.

Feng Ci: “……”

Last night, he had…… locked this person up like this for the whole night???

Wine was really a terrifying thing.

Completely unaware of what happened last night, Feng Ci couldn’t help but feel somewhat guilty internally. He was just about to lift the blankets and get up from the bed when he suddenly halted.

It’s only now that he finally noticed what made him vaguely off.

Under the thin blanket, it was wet and sticky.

Feng Ci froze completely in place.

He has never been a very lustful person.

Needless to say, he had been residing in other people’s bodies all these years. Even 3000 years ago, however, he had also never got involved with this kind of thing.

Even when he was a teenager, at the most energetic and youthful part of his life, he had only focused on cultivating and practicing the sword all day. He has never experienced something like this.

Today this…… was unprecedented, the first time ever.

A rare hint of embarrassment and shame appeared on his face. Feng Ci sent a glance towards the little black snake’s direction. While the other wasn’t paying attention, he quietly casted a cleaning spell under the blankets before finally getting up nonchalantly, as if nothing had happened.

Yet unexpectedly, as soon as his both feet touched the ground, he felt a wave of weakness and almost couldn’t stand steady.

Feng Ci sat back down, feeling numbness from his calf to the bottom of his leg.

The thing in the front… can still be explained by saying that this body was young and vigorous, unable to control itself.

But this right now seemed a bit too strange.

Feng Ci’s expression changed several times. Finally, he looked at the little black snake in the corner.

With a pair of grayish-white eyes, the little white snake looked innocently towards him.

Feng Ci fell silently for a moment, then raised his hand and gave a light wave. In response, the confinement array in the corner was lifted. The little black snake was enveloped in a faint glow. Its body elongated, turned big, and then finally, transformed back into human form.

Pei QianYue stood in the corner, motionless.

Feng Ci: “Why aren’t you coming over?”

Pei QianYue’s fingertips moved slightly, but he restrained himself: “Master is not angry anymore?”

“Depends on what you are talking about.” Feng Ci said slowly.

Pei QianYue stopped replying.

Seeing him with this guilty expression, Feng Ci only wanted to laugh. Who knew if this was sincere or feigned, but Feng Ci didn’t really care. He only cleared his throat and said: “I’m thirsty. Pour me a cup of water.”

Pei QianYue finally left the corner.

He went to the table to pour a cup of fresh water and even used spirit energy to warm it slightly before finally handing it to Feng Ci: “Master, please use.”

Well-behaved, obedient, and still innocent.

Feng Ci raised his head and gave him a glance from underneath his eyelashes. He leaned forward slightly.

And drank the cup of water like this right from Pei QianYue’s hands.

After drinking, Feng Ci then ordered Pei QianYue to get him clean clothes.

Cultivators with their cultivation level only needed to mutter an incantation and their clothes can be changed or cleaned automatically, but today, Feng Ci insisted on tormenting Pei QianYue.

“Help me put it on.” Feng Ci raised both arms and said extremely calmly: “My legs are so sore, I can’t stand up.”

Pei QianYue paused slightly in the process of grabbing clothes.

But he didn’t say anything and obediently helped Feng Ci take off the clothes that he wore yesterday night and put on the new ones. After changing clothes and pants, Feng Ci then sat on the bed and made Pei QianYue help him put on shoes.

Without any signs of haughtiness or superiority, the grand and majestic Leader of the Immortal Alliance half-knelt in front of the bed just like this and served him meticulously.

He moved extremely slow. When those ice-cold fingers touched Feng Ci’s ankle, it made him tremble with a jolt.

The memory of the body was much more honest than the brain.

Feng Ci pressed his lips together and had an approximate guess to what this asshole bastard had done in the middle of the night.

Pei QianYue couldn’t have missed Feng Ci’s response, but he still didn’t say a word. Those hands slowly brushed over the back of Feng Ci’s foot, ankle, and calf, and gently pulled up his white sock. He moved so gently and carefully that it was like he was afraid to hurt Feng Ci.

But Feng Ci knew— to hell with being afraid to hurt him.

Pei QianYue was deliberately tormenting him here.

After putting on the socks and shoes, Feng Ci, as well as his entire legs, have all turned to jelly.

Pei QianYue finally got up and asked quietly: “Do you have any other orders, Master?”

His tone continued to remain very innocent.

Unsuccessfully in tormenting Pei QianYue and ending up tortured himself, Feng Ci grinded his molars and sneered: “There’s one more thing.”

He beckoned at Pei QianYue: “Come closer.”

Pei QianYue walked forward. He only bent down slightly but Feng Ci grabbed him by the collar and dragged Pei QianYue in front of him. The distance between the two of them closed up instantly. Feng Ci turned his head slightly. His lips almost pressed against the other’s lips as they passed.

Maintaining this extremely close distance, he said slowly, word by word: “If you want to do something next time, don’t be so sneaky about it.”

Pei QianYue’s breathing turned chaotic.

Feng Ci gazed unblinkingly at Pei QianYue’s handsome face, which had turned slightly flustered from this mere sentence from him, a bit of amusement finally appearing in his eyes: “Oh great City Master. What are you, scared?
