(Xyrus PoV)

The first time I opened my eyes, the first one I saw was 2 hairy apes looking down on me.

I was shocked so I tried to scream but what came out was a baby noises.

"Uwaaahh!" A baby? Perhaps I'm back to being a baby agai-.

My thoughts were broken off when I looked at my two hairy hands.

That's when it finally click on me, I reincarnated as an ape? Or perhaps a homosapien maybe? After all, as far as I can see these apes doesn't look like apes like in my past world, uhm, how do I say this, they're more like the one in the history book? Maybe.

Though when they walk their backs were hunched and both of their hands were also used to walk around sniffing each others butts, they should be the Australopithecus (Hominid).

So a few 'oohh' and 'aahh' later they seems to agree with something and they bought me a fucking fresh raw meat.

If only I could talk, I would definitely yell, "It's Raw!" Like a certain chef back in earth.

But alas they don't know what they were doing so they just stuffed the meat at my mouth, and good news is they realized that I can't eat such a huge meat, the bad news is they still fed me the meat but they cut it in tiny pieces so it could fit my little mouth.

I don't know if it's because of my new body's taste buds but it tasted kinda good.

So a few more weeks has passed I could finally crawl, like really, I gues Australopithecus grows much faster than humans back on earth.

So I crawled around the cave, and I saw 30-40 Autralopithecus apes walking around with their backs hunched while doing some nonsense things like throwing rocks at each other, licking their fingers and toes. Some are even mating around like an animal.

But I ignored all this, and after a few minutes crawling around, I could finally see light, so I hurriedly crawl and reach the end of it and what I saw gave me a huge shock.

A mammoth, a huge motherfucking mammoth in front of me.

"Owwuuunnggg" The Mammoth just looks at me. (I don't know what sound a mammoth make)

'Let's go back!!' I finally felt panic and crawled back to the cave, so fast that I thought I teleported.

After a few minutes of crawling, I'm finally back, I decided to grow first and practice the magic embedded in my mind.

So I first went through my memories and learned something called meditation.

So I tried to sat in a meditative position, keyword  'TRIED' and failed miserably due to my small body.

So I just laid down on my back and tried to meditate and it seems like you don't need to sit down in a meditative position to meditate. Tsk, and here I thought buddha reached enlightment by sitting in a meditative position.

A few days later, a blue light sparkled at the palm of my hand.

I was excited, this is magic, every kid's wet dream. So I willed the blue spark to glow much brighter and so it did, like a Magic.

It also attracted everyone's attention, so they hurriedly gathered around me and watched in curiosity.

"Hoooh hooh, haaah, haah" One of them said while pointing his finger at the sparkling orange light and touched it.

I thought that he'll burn himself but it seems I was proven wrong when his finger just passed through the light.

So this is just a light huh, I thought I could finally have something to defend myself.

Without further ado, I kept training so a few days later I could finally keep the light from fading away for 1 hour before my mana gets exhausted.

The other Hominids was always interested so they'll gather around me whenever I practice.

This time I was training for the ball of light to hover around me which It did but it costs more mana and concentration to maintain the ball of light.

As for the Hominids? They started following me whenever I am. Sometimes giving me a piece of their meat. They must have been considering me the leader of the pack.

But there is one different Hominid who was looking at me with hate.

If it was the past me I wouldn't care but according to the goddess this is a supernatural world so I'll have to be cautious about my enemies.

And my hunch were right, a few weeks later, the mad Hominid suddenly attacked me with his closed fist when I was meditating.

I was already expecting this so, I immediately rolled back and threw him a bundle of rocks that was on my side.

I've been keeping a bundle of rocks in my side ever since I discovered this guy's hate for me.

2 rocks managed to hit him both in his head and chest while the rest missed.

"Graargh!" The mad hominid shouted in anger while attacking or more like waving his arms like an insane man not caring whoever he hits.

I guess It's time to use my trump card.

I first waited for him to come close and when he's close enough I opened my palm and what came out of it is a fire.

I was both fascinated and a bit scared, this is the first time I'll be using this on a living being so of course i'm a bit scared.

But I knew I had to do this, whether he dies or I die, so I mustered my courage and my fear disappeared and it was then replace by determination.

I had to do this so that I could return in my world. This is just the first step to I had to take to start my journey.

So with all of my might I threw the fireball at the crazed Hominid straight at his face burning him.

"Guaarrgghh!" The mad hominid yelled in pain while trying to put the fire away by bumping his face at the nearby rocky walls making his face bleed.

A few seconds later, the mad hominid finally stopped moving and directly fell on the ground, the smell of burning flesh permeated through the cave.

I saw the other Hominids coming closer and inspecting the dead body of their kind.

After inspecting they all looked at me and shouted, "Hooh, hooh, haah" Then they just stared at me like a good dog waiting for orders.

'So I really just became their leader huh?' I mentally thought. This is actually good for him, now he could focus in training magic while he would order them around to gather food for him.

Now It's time to make history. First I gathered all their attention. When their attention is finally on me, slowly but surely they saw me standing on two legs.

If this was an anime, I'm sure I'll be seeing stars on their eyes, so they followed my example and tried to stand on two legs but they all failed miserably except for one who was using the nearby walls for support allowing him to stand like me.

Guess someone is very smart. Then I shouted, "Mens and Womens! You may not understand me now but I'll just say this once! Are y'all ready to follow me and make history!"

*crook* *crook*

*crook* *crook*

Silence ensued, well I expected that so I just 'hooh, 'hooh', 'haah', 'haah'ed and they all started following me outside the caves.

But before leaving, I left a carving on the walls about me being their leader and the first to stand on two legs who soon will be known as the Homo habilis in the future.

Time to become history!
