Chapter 20: Ch. 20

(This will be the last Flashback, then we'll focus on the present. So please bear with me.)

(Flashback)

After Xyrus's training with Yahweh, he went back to his village and was finally thriving, so he went back to his home to meditate.

But when he stepped into the village, he sensed a huge  amount of mana forming in the middle of his house.

So he ran back and he saw a violet portal, he was shocked at this first but he is more shocked when a being went out of this portal, he has huge long horns with red skin and black tattoos marking all around his body and a dirty cloth covering his crotch.

The moment both of them looked at It's other, the demon shouted, "Guaaarrggghhh!", he then rushed at him while his nails elonginated and tried to slash him apart.

Seeing this, Xyrus used a mana blast and pushed the demon back stumbling on his hard work, and hand-made pieces of furniture angering him slightly, so he immediately rushed at the demon and mana covered his hand attempting to kill this vile creature.

Meanwhile, on the outside countless portals opened in many different places.

In an unknown forest, another portal opened and a demon like the one Xyrus just fought came outside and wrecked havoc.

The whole Supernatural world was alarmed by this so they sent troops to deal with the demons but what came back was a piece of bad news, their troops were wiped out and the demons keep coming out of these portals.

Back to Xyrus, he finally managed to kill the demon but due to the fight he never sensed the screams outside his home.

So Xyrus went out and what he saw made him angry and sad, his whole village that he painstakingly built was on fire with many apes fighting them with their spears and fists.

Now wasting any more time and took out his katana and fought the demons with apes.

Dashing forward, Xyrus slashed a demon who was just about to kill a fellow ape.

Helping the ape on standing, he grabbed a nearby iron spear and gave it to him.

The ape grabbed the spear and nodded at him before rushing toward the battlefield.

When Xyrus looked around he could see his comrades losing, they can't even manage to kill a single demon so he did what he had to do.

"Hoo! HAA!" Xyrus shouted which translates to "Retreat!" When the apes heard that they all stepped back and retreated behind Xyrus's back.

"Haa!Haa! (Formation!)" Xyrus shouted again, then the group of apes formed a formation.

"Ahoo!Ahoo!" The apes shouted then the apes who has an iron shield lined on the front while the SpearApes were on the back with their spears on the shoulder of the ShieldApes then behind them is the BowApes aimed at the air, ready to shoot their arrows.

While Xyrus smiled at this, they've been practicing this formation for 5 years and now It's finally decent.

"Ahoo!Ahoo!" Xyrus shouted increasing his army of Ape's morale.

"AHOO!AHOO!"

"AHOO!AHOO!"

"AHOO!AHOO!"

When the demons were closed enough, Xyrus signaled the BowApes to lose their arrows.

*Woosh*

*Woosh* x100

Rains of arrows rained upon the demons who just didn't care and kept on running.

Some missed while some managed to hit them but instead of killing them, the arrows were just stuck in their skins while bleeding.

Xyrus knew that normal arrows can't affect them, so he knew that normal weapons are futile to them.

"Hoo!Haa! (Hold your ground!)" Then he dashed towards a d demon with his unsheathe katana and started slicing down every demon he could see, though some manage to bypass him and reached the apes but with their formation, along with their advantage they managed to kill them leaving him to rest assured.

This is actually a bit weird to him, he could clearly feel that the one he fought earlier is much more stronger than these demons, but still, they're strong, especially with their numbers.

He didn't know how many did he kill but he could see the number of demons was decreasing so he looked at his comrades and shouted, "Urraaah!(Charge!)" The apes shouted to and charged toward the unsuspecting demons.

Xyrus felt relaxed when he could see his comrades killing some demons.

After a few minutes on the battlefield, the grass was dyed in red blood, while corpses were scattered everywhere.

On the ground, Xyrus was lying down while his chest was heaving up and down obviously breathing heavily.

What did just happened? But it doesn't matter anymore, at least he and his fellow apes were alive, while he felt sad when he noticed that almost half of his whole fellow apes were found dead on the ground.

Xyrus shed a tear at this, although he's not that close with them, seeing someone you always saw every day die in front of you still hurts in his heart.

It was getting dark, so they had to bury their fellow comrades, and it took them a whole day to bury them all.

After that, Xyrus used fire magic to burn all the demon's corpses.

And finally, everything was done, and they just had to rebuild their whole village.

In the morning, Yahweh visits the village but then he saw that It was being rebuilt by the apes, making him wide-eyed in realization.

So he went inside and found Xyrus rebuilding his home while woods and stones were floating around him.

"Xyrus..." Yahweh felt sad for his friend/student, he know how much Xyrus loved his village along with its residents.

"Hey, Old man there are these creatures who inva-" Xyrus was about to explain what happened.

"I know, son. I also got the news from my children." Yahweh said.

"You have anything about them?"

"Yes, they also invaded heaven so I had to be there to protect it, I'm sorry for not helping." Yahweh apologized.

"It's fine old man, I would do the same If I were in your position." Xyrus forgave him.

"Let me help you, I'll just call Michael." Yahweh then walked away and called Michael.

A few minutes later, a teleportation circle appeared at the entrance of the village, making the apes panic, they thought their village was about to be invaded again but the circle soon died down and the apes saw a beautiful man along with a group of angels behind him.

With a warm smile, Michael entered along with Lucifer and Gabriel. (A/N: Lucifer has not yet betrayed Yahweh.)
