Chapter 25: Chapter 25 – First Blood Seed

“Why are you here?” Adora asked in a suspicious tone. “Were you following me?”

“Of course not.” Vlad rolled his eyes and proceeded to help Adora to escape from the formation. “I was in this bar coincidentally and saw you enter, so I decided to keep an eye on the situation just in case.”

Adora stared at Vlad suspiciously, clearly not trusting his words completely, but Vlad did not care.

The truth was just as he said. He did not expect to meet Adora here, his goal was Kevin.

He had been waiting for an opportunity to kill him and use him as his first Blood Seed. Thus, when the boss of the gang and his bodyguards left, Vlad used the opportunity to strike.

He moved as stealthily as possible and killed the gang members he met along the way without raising a commotion, finally, he entered the office and killed Kevin.

As for Adora, Vlad decided to save her in passing. Anyway, she had saved him once.

Vlad raised an eyebrow in amusement.

“Don’t worry, I don’t plan to hurt you. I’m not as cruel as to kill my benefactor without a reason.”

Instead of relaxing, Adora became even more afraid.

‘Does it mean that he doesn’t mind killing me if there is a good enough reason?’

Vlad noticed her thoughts and smiled before shifting his attention to the body on the floor.

Without caring about Adora’s reaction, he crouched in front of the body and put his hand on Kevin’s chest.

Then, he started the process of creating a Blood Seed.

Fortunately, it seemed that his previous experience creating Blood Seeds had been useful. The process of creating this Blood Seed proceeded more smoothly than he expected.

At that moment, he noticed that Adora had walked over.

“What are you doing?” She asked with a frown. No matter how she looked at it, it did not seem like something good.

Vlad hesitated about how to reply. He would have preferred not to show this to Adora, but the Blood Seeds could only be produced shortly after someone died.

Fortunately, he had thought of an excuse already.

“My bloodline is special. It can make me stronger under certain conditions. After killing him, I satisfied some of these conditions, so now I’m absorbing a part of his power.”

Adora was stunned.

“Yours is not weak either,” Vlad said while glancing at her. “It allows you to control the wind, right?”

“You saw it?”

Just then, the Blood Seed finished forming.

As he expected, this blood seed was shinier and had stronger mana than the ones he produced before.

Vlad hesitated for a moment before deciding to swallow it immediately. He waited until Adora was distracted and swallowed it directly.

“Ugh,” Vlad grunted, attracting Adora’s attention.

“Is everything alright? What happened?”

“… Crow will not let the matter rest now that Kevin has been killed. Once he learns about what happened here, he will kill us.”

“So you want to kill him first, right?” Vlad put on an amused expression when he saw the killing intent in Adora’s eyes.

Adora nodded. “Yes. Plus, he has something I need. I must get it.”

Vlad’s eyes flashed. “The Life-Replenishing Pill?”

Adora did not reply, but her determined gaze was enough of an answer.

“I see. Miss Adora, I have a proposal for you.”

“Mm?”

“Why don’t we cooperate to kill Crow?”

Adora was stunned. But she started to contemplate Vlad’s proposal after hesitating briefly.

“… He is a Core Formation Practitioner. It won’t be easy.”

“But just as you said, you don’t have other options, right?”

Adora fell silent.

“Then, will you cooperate with me?” Vlad asked.
