Chapter 1: Chapter 1

"Come on Kitani and Denki. You don't both need to be heroes. Besides what if you died." My mother said as she looked at me and my twin brother Denki. 

"Come on mom. We won't die besides we've been training for this." Denki said as he looked at our mom. Though we were twins we looked nothing alike. While Denki had blonde hair and a black lightning bolt I had straight brown hair. Where my mom and Denki both had golden eyes I had grey eyes. While Denki was able to see perfectly fine I was half blind. The only thing similar about us was our quirks. While Denki could use electricity from his nerves I  could draw electricity from the air around me. 

"Mom we will be fine." I say as I pout looking at her. 

"I still don't think you should both go through with this." She said as she looked at both of us.

"Please mom?" I ask as I look at Denki for support. She sighed and nodded. "Both of you can try for the exams.." She said as she looked at both of us. It was obviously hard on her saying that she was going to be letting both of her kids try out to be heroes. "Yes!" Denki cried out as he hugged me and then hugged our mom.

"Thank you mom." I say with a smile of gratitude as I look at her. She smiled slightly and hugged me as I leaned against her shoulder. "We have about three months to train for this exam which should give me plenty of time to be able to get my charge more powerful." I mumble as I go off to my room that I share with Denki.

"Can you believe it Kitani? We are going to be heroes." Denki said as he jumped onto his bed excited. 

"I know Denki." I say as I laugh watching him. I went and laid on my own bed staring at the ceiling. It was weird and at times like these I would imagine what it would be like to see fully. I know I was always going to be half blind for my whole life and nothing would ever change that. At least until I can get the surgery to fix my eye.
