Chapter 1: Monochromic

A day. Just one. That was all it took to crash and burn, to see everything they ever loved destroyed. Torn asunder, ripped from their whitened knuckles as they desperately tried to stop it only to be denied the release they craved once again. 

“Death. A simple thing so far away, yet also right behind the corner” that was all they could think as the bright world went dark and they once again awoke only to find themselves right back at the start of the monochromatic path they followed. They blinked as their mind willed them to cry, but the tears were long past dried.
