Chapter 10: Keeping to myself

Walking back to the Office of Raevin Daevin, I thought to myself on what my future is if I was not transported to this place, I could have been a successful person, and a person that can be truly happy despite a childhood full of hardships and trauma.

But all of these are just useless things , I cant do nothing, I cant complain to anyone, I have all this sadness and rage inside of me wanting to break free , Wanting to crawl into the corner to cry a river, wanting to free from these shackles and release all of my pent up rage to these citizens, wanting to take a life , What is the use of my life if its just to suffer?!! 

*Remember What your Mother told you*

The voice in my head said.

Of course how could I forget my Mother who was strict and loving, despite all of the hardships growing up she endured the sadness and depression just for me and my siblings.

She  told me this when I was about  blow up in rage .

"I know you are angry but Its not a reason to give up on living your life as you wish and hurting someone in the process is not the way to live, I may have not lived the best life but seeing you grow up makes my heart at ease."

I could never forget what she said , No matter how mentally unstable I get its not a reason to go and kill someone , If my mother endured a life time of depression, I can endure this 

I know my words aren't making any sense, even to me , but its kinda my way coping to avoid getting crazy.

Deep in thought I didn't realize we were already in front of Raevin Daevins office.

"Come in, dont be a stranger" (Raevin Daevin)

I walked inside and sat down in front of Raevin Daevin's desk.

"So whats your inquiry for today?"

Raevin Daevin asked

"To keep it short because I don't want to disturb you , I know your a busy man so I summed up my questions, first what are roles?"(Jacob)

"Roles are .. you could say a gift from the Gods, there are many roles and many branches to that role, simply put your role can be determined through your stats, for example a warrior one of the main roles , a warrior must have a high attack and High defense stat, you can change your roles but that requires some procedures considering what role you choose and the rarity of it. There are many roles not just in fighting but also in Creation. Roles are divided into 2 

Battle and creation, a normal being can have 3 roles at a time in some cases some have 5 but the number of roles don't exceed 6 due to some unknown reason."

"Damn what a explanation, You really do explain a lot" (Jacob)

" Of course its to avoid answering questions all over again"( Raevin Daevin)

"So what are your roles?"(Jacob)

"Easy there buddy , Its dangerous to reveal your role , you must have this surprise card to avoid getting robbed " (Raevin Daevin)

" Im sorry I didn't know it was classified information " (Jacob)

"Dont be too hard on yourself, I trust you with every fiber of my being, I have 4 role slots, but I currently have 2 roles, You may find it strange but its hard enough to master 1 role its harder to master 4 at one time so I just use 2 roles for the time being, My first role is called Platinum Merchant, and my second role is Apprentice Mage."(Raevin Daevin)

"Impressive , I don't want to go into detail about private information , But how do you know or get a role?" (Jacob)

"Some are gifted and have  roles since birth just like me, I gained  Platinum Merchant when I was listening to the busy marketplace, thats when I knew that this is for me and when I got home I have this mark on my back, Roles can be determined because once you have a role ,you will have a mark somewhere in your body that shows what role you are, for me I have this mark on my back symbolizing a merchant that has a the color platinum thus platinum merchant. You can gain roles in "Churches" each God has its own role but the stats required for that Role is strict, there are also temples that have certain roles like for example The temple of Knights , there you can get a role, but in some rare cases you can get a role when clearing a dungeon or slaying a specific monster."(Raevin Daevin)

"That actually sounds really fun, and I bet there are specific roles each race can get?"(Jacob)

"Correct "(Raevin Daevin)
