[ . . . ]

The God seemed to feel embarrassed but kept 'speaking' through the screen, determined to show Silas their might!

[ *Cough* ]

[ You should be happy, I took an interest in you! Anyways you choose to read "Domineering CEO and Her Lovely Rabbit Wife", so how did it become my fault??? ]

[ Plus, you're forgetting something important. Don't you find it weird that I can read your mind? ]

" ...It's not particularly weird?"

The statement was laced with a questioning tone. Perhaps Silas could feel the aggrieved emotions of the God who just wanted to be feared and-

'Wait a moment, why do I feel they're a little pitiful? Pei pei pei, no way. I must be going crazy...'

[ I'm not pitiful! You, your whole family is pitiful you %&$#! ]

'Ai, are all these so-called gods so weak these days? If I was a God and a lil twerp dared to speak like this to me I would have-'

RUMBLE

Lightning literally struck 'out of the blue' and happened to hit the tiny piece of glass (that could be barely considered a window) of Silas' hostel room. A clear cracking sound was heard immediately after. Well... actually it was cracking sounds (plural) because Silas' expression also cracked when he saw the broken window...

The floating screen flashed again with a new message, this time written with a mocking tone.

[ Heh. You damn mortal! See the power I hold? I would have smited you to death if you weren't my <Protagonist> ]

The youth, who at some point in time sat on the bed, started to feel an ominous premonition. As if in agreemnt, his left eye had started to twitch like a spider being crushed under a shoe.

"Room 666, what is wrong with you? Pay for the window and get the fuck out!"

The shrill shriek of the hostel manager interrupted the God and Silas from further communication. Both had decided to tactically shut up and listen in silence after sensing the seriousness of the situation.

BANG BANG BANG

Three hard 'knocks' reverberated within the tiny room, knocks that were so powerful it seemed that any moment now the ol' ceiling would drop down dandruff on top of the already white hair of the youth. Panic briefly flashed across his face as his brain worked at finding a solution to avoid being kicked out.

'Crap, this is already the third time something weird happened while I was alone in this room! Augh, I have barely enough money to last me 3 days and this unlucky God...'

[ I have a solution for your financial issues- ]

Click.

Before Silas could finish reading the God's message the door was unlocked. A red haired woman squeezed into the cramped space and slammed the door shut, cutting off all paths of escape. Her eyes glared at the problematic youth, resentment nearly tangible from that gaze.

Silas knew that he was down on his luck the moment the lady strode in. At first he was welcomed by the hostel staff. Who wouldn't like a resident who didn't make a fuss, steal, or try to escape paying? But after all, a hostel wasn't a home and staying for too long inevitably caused issues. The poor youth also took 3x more than normal guests during breakfast so he could save money on food expenses. Scrimping and scrounging here and there he made a thousand bucks last him almost three weeks at this hostel room. If it had only been taking a lot during the free breakfast then it wasn't a big issue, many others did that too. But the biggest problem was that odd things would happen whenever Silas was alone in his room. On the third day of his stay a bunch of men in black suits had attempted to break down his door. Of course nobody believed him because none of the other guests from any room down the halls heard a peep from room 666. Yet it was still a indisputable fact that the door has somehow magically gained a fist sized dent and the old knob had broken down to pieces.

Therefore, Silas had to use half of his remaining fortune to replace the door and pay for the installation fee. Both his wallet and heart had started bleeding once he heard the outrageous price.

 SEVEN! HUNDRED! BUCKS!

But back to the problem at hand....
