Man Hae-Won entered the Park mansion in style. She was wearing a white gown with matching heels. She had goggles on her eyes, diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet on her hand. She paired her dress with a glittery silver belt. It appeared as if she jumped out of a page of a fashion catalogue. On one hand, she was carrying a white expensive purse and on the other hand, was her precious phone. She never used to place her phone inside her purse or pockets as she always was busy clicking pictures or taking videos with her phone.
She was walking while looking straight ahead so she stumbled on the gifts baskets. She looked down and her eyes widened after looking at the presents that were placed in the living room. She immediately opened the camera feature on her phone and clicked hundreds of pictures and instantly posted the picture on Instagram with millions of hashtags.
Eun-Kyung's phone chimed with notifications. She opened the phone and noticed the post from Hae-Won. She smiled at the picture.
"Oh, it is late. Let's go, our guests have started arriving," she said to Ashma. Both had no idea how much time had passed as both enjoyed each other's company inside the kitchen. Even the servants were loving their beautiful relationship.
Eun-Kyung and Ashma came out of the kitchen and Bong-Cha came running from upstairs.
"Where is everyone? Even the door was wide open," asked Hae-Won while removing her goggles.
"Who will get in except you," replied Eun-Kyung dearly.
"Unni!" exclaimed Hae-Won, went ahead and hugged Eun-Kyung.
"Haewona! You are looking nice," complemented Eun-Kyung.
"Thank you. Are we having a party?" Hae-Won was confused after looking at so many gifts and presents.
"What?"
"Why do we have so many gifts lying around?"
"These are the gifts from her for everyone," Hae-Won pointed at Ashma who was staring at Hae-Won confusingly.
"Wow! so generous. But who is she?"
"Oh sorry, Haewona, meet my daughter Ashma, Ashma this is Man Hae-Won I told you about."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," said Ashma and moved her hand forward for a handshake.
"Likewise." Hae-won shook her hand. "I love your creations. My daughter is a big fan but not a big fan as Bongie."
"Bongie?" Ashma asked, confused.
"Your sister Bong-Cha."
Ashma faked a laugh. She loved Eun-Kyung but wanted nothing to do with anyone else. All other relations were making her angry. She wanted neither sister nor brother nor a father. She loved her family, the one she had, she didn't want a new one. All the sister talk was making her uncomfortable.
"Bongie, go and get Vidhi from the guest room," commanded Eun-Kyung.
"Sure, I will be back in a minute." She ran upstairs to get Vidhi.
"I would love to wear your creation someday. You know I am a famous influencer. I have loads of followers. I can give you a shout out," continued Hae-Won.
"Ha-ha, I will try. The thing is I don't like associating my brand with influencers."
"Unni! Ask your daughter to help me out, requested Hae-Won to Eun-Kyung.
"Why do you call her Unni? She looks younger than you," said Ashma seriously.
"Ash!" scolded Eun-Kyung. "Don't mind, Haewona, she is kidding."
Hae-Won made a disgusted face at Ashma but suddenly smiled and said, "Ha-ha, she is so funny." Again Ashma faked a smile.
"Mumma! when will he be back?" asked Ashma.
Eun-Kyung looked at the clock on the wall and replied, "usually he comes back around 6, 6.30. today he is late. Why? You want to run away as fast as possible?"
"No that' not the case. I have to return to India. I have an important show in a few days."
"Yes, I know, your spring fashion week is in almost two weeks."
"How do you know that, Unni?" asked Hae-Won.
"She told me in email."
"What?"
"Yes. I never told anyone but Vidhi and I and Ashma and I used to exchange letters and emails."
"What? You were in constant communication with her. Why didn't you tell me?" Suddenly Bong-Cha came back with Vidhi.
"That was not a secret that I was going to share with anyone Bongie as it was not only my secret but theirs too. And also you never asked, you just assumed that we have no contact with her," explained Eun-Kyung.
"I am an idiot." Bong-Cha facepalmed. "I noticed those letters but my focus was more on the articles and photographs."
"Oh, you don't know. Ahppa loves you so much that he has a beautiful box and he keeps your letters, your photographs, all the articles he can find in a magazine, newspapers inside it," said Bong-Cha with pride. Ashma clenched her jaw and bit her lower lip and controlled her anger. She wanted to know nothing about the man.
"Haewona, meet Vidhi, Ashma's mother, Vidhi, this is Man Hae-Won."
"Young-Soo's…" Hae-Won stopped herself after Eun-Kyung stared at her.
"Young-Soo's lover, nice to meet you." Vidhi completed Hae-Won's thoughts for her. "You must be the famous influencer."
"Nice to meet you." Ashma stared at Hae-Won with disgust.
"Oh, women power is present here," said a voice from the threshold. Ashma looked at the man. He was a rugged-looking man with a light stubble and the sharpest jawline she had ever seen. His untamed curly hair was flowing in every direction.
"Girls meet Man Jong-Won, the best friend of Young-Soo," said Eun-Kyung.
He moved forward avoiding all the presents laying around in the living room and first addressed Vidhi, " you are more beautiful than I heard."
"Thank you," said Vidhi.
"And this must be your daughter" he addressed Ashma.
"Pleasure," said Ashma.
"What have you done to our daughter?"
"Sorry!"
"They are crazy for your dresses. Half their wardrobe is filled with your dresses yet they want more."
"Aw… thank you for the compliment."
"Well, I won't lie I too have many suits designed by your label." He winked at her. This time her smile was genuine.
The next moment three people came running through the door. Yong-Sun's eyes fell on Ashma and he froze. She was looking like an angel. Her straight long hair was open, not a strand was out of place. She was wearing a lilac floral dress and white shoes. Chin-Sun had to drag him away from the door. He stood at a distance from all the people and again forgot to introduce himself to Ashma.
Ashma saw Chin-Sun and moved towards her.
"I am sorry for being rude in the morning and sorry for being dismissive of your wedding."
Chin-Sun threw herself at Ashma and hugged her dearly and said, "it's okay. I know you got the shock of your life. You didn't mean any of it."
She let Ashma go, Ashma then went up to Baek-Hyeon, " Hi! My name is Ashma."
"I am Baek-Hyeon, your half-brother."
She flinched and said, "sorry but it would be better if we try to be friends first."
"If that makes you feel comfortable, I am in, but never say a bad word to Bongis or Chinsuna again."
"I'll try." She smiled. Yong-Sun heart fluttered loudly. It was ready to jump out of his chest.
Before she could introduce herself to Yong-Sun, a commanding voice shouted, "What the hell is all this?"
"Nothing that you should be concerned about. None of this is for you."
"Ashu!" rebuked Vidhi.
"Ash!" reprimanded Eun-Kyung.
"What?" snapped Ashma.
Young-Jae realised that talking to the girl was impossible so he stared at Ashma with fury. She stared back at him not ready to back down. He shook his head in disbelief and started moving upstairs.
Suddenly the atmosphere changed. The air suddenly became cool and dry. It seemed as if someone was choking the life out of Ashma. She immediately turned towards her mother. Vidhi stood up in shock and kept staring at the door. Ashma turned towards the doorstep. A handsome man in his fifties with brownish-black hair, high cheekbones and beautiful big monolid eyes was standing at the door. He was dressed sharply in a black suit. His tie was slightly loosened and crooked.
"Huhh…" Vidhi loudly inhaled the next moment and stopped breathing. Her breathing became heavy the next instant. She shivered violently and placed her hands on her chest. Everyone looked at her and followed her eyes. She was staring at the door. The man too was frozen in his position staring at Vidhi in surprise.
Suddenly Vidhi clenched her chest. She was having shortness of breath. She felt light-headed and fell down. Immediately Ashma ran to her and held her. Everyone ran towards Vidhi.
"Mom! Mom! Wake up. Someone call a doctor."
Young-Soo immediately placed his hand under Vidhi and lifted her up, "Yongsuna!"
At his command, Yong-Sun ran towards his car. Young-Soo walked behind him and Ashma followed him. Yong-Sun drove like a maniac and within minutes they arrived at a hospital.
