While smiling, Ashma answered, "we were just talking about Mumma."

"Did she regain consciousness?" asked Baek-Hyeon, concerned and stared at Vidhi.

"No, not mom, mumma," emphasised Ashma.

"Who? Who is mumma?"

She chuckled and smiled at Baek-Hyeon. Then Yong-Sun interrupted, "she calls gomo, mumma."

"Excuse me!" Baek-Hyeon was surprised. His eyes widened.

"She knows me before she knew you," replied Ashma, casually.

"What? What are you talking about?" Baek-Hyeon was now confused. How did his mother know Ashma?

"She has been with me since I was born. She used to write letters to me and when I grew up I used to send my drawings to her and then my letters and now we exchange emails."

"You knew about us?" asked Baek-Hyeon, amazed.

"No, she never shared about her life. I asked her plenty of times who she is, what she does but she never told me who she was, whether she is single, whether she has a family, nothing. All I had was a P.O. box number and then an email id. I understood that she didn't want to reveal who she was just like a fairy godmother so I never pestered again," explained Ashma.

"What?"

"I know that this all will come as a shock to you."

"Shock? It's almost 4000 volts current. My brain is unable to process this information," said Baek-Hyeon with astonishment.

"I am sorry again for all the shock and secrets."

"No, I am sorry for the secrets our family chose to keep and deprive you of all the love you could have received," said Baek-Hyeon in a sad voice.

"Well, now it's all in the open."

"But we still need to hide everything?" asked Baek-Hyeon.

"True. Are you ok with that?" Ashma understood that Baek-Hyeon was struggling that he had to keep his newfound sister a secret.

"The way you explained it, I have to be okay with the secret. We cannot let it out in open to other people."

"Good! Now hand me the pen and the paper," requested Ashma.

He went up to her and gave her the pen and paper. She humbly accepted those and bend on the night table. She wrote a little note for her mother saying sorry and wishing her to get well soon.

"Dear Mom,

I am so sorry for the pain I have caused. I didn't mean to hurt you. But life started hurting you the moment I was born. The love of your life left you because of me. I am sorry for that. You had to accept your life without love, for me. I am sorry about that. You are in the hospital because of me. I am sorry about that.

Please wake up soon and hug me. I love you and I miss you. Please get well soon otherwise I will complain to nanaji and Madhu aunty. They will scold you.

Please get well soon mom. I want you out of here.

I LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

Yours,

Ashu"

A tear dropped on the piece of paper. She folded the paper in half and kept it under her mother's pillow. She wiped her tears and faced both the men.

"Let's go," she announced. She moved forward, then halted in her path. She turned towards her mother again, reached near her head and kissed her on her forehead.

"Shall we?" asked Yong-Sun. She just nodded while staring at her mother's face.

They moved out of the room and entered the lift. No one was speaking. They reached the lobby and Yong-Sun placed his hands in his pocket and concentrated on fishing out the keys from his pockets. He lowered his eyes to look at his pocket absentmindedly and suddenly he bumped into a man. Both the man stumbled. Ashma immediately held Yong-Sun from behind preventing him from falling but the other man landed hard on his derriere.

"Thank you," said Yong-Sun to Ashma. She held him and he achieved pure bliss. He was still in her arms. He looked at her face and felt as if he was in heaven. He forgot where he was, he forgot that he was surrounded by people, he forgot that he bumped into someone.

"Are you alright?" Ashma's question brought him back from his dreamland.

"Yes, I am fine." He stood up straight and composed himself. Baek-Hyeon hurried and helped the man who fell. He was a tall man in his late forties. He had a hoodie on his head and was trying to hide his face suspiciously. Baek-Hyeon now realised that the man was walking suspiciously too.

"Sorry!" said the man.

Suddenly Baek-Hyeon recognised that man. He said, "Ajhussi!"

"Shh… no one knows I am here. You guys didn't see me. If any hospital staff asks, tell them nothing. If you tell them anything, I will know," he warned and ran inside a lift.

"Weird!" said Ashma.

"He was the same man who was listening in every room," pointed out Baek-Hyeon.

"We guessed. Should we inform the hospital staff?

"I will give the doctor a call," informed Baek-Hyeon.

"You can do that on our way. It's getting late. Now, let's go," said Yong-Sun. Everyone nodded.

They reached Yong-Sun's car. Ashma chose to sit in the backseat and Baek-Hyeon sat in the passenger seat. Some melodious, soft Korean song was playing inside the car. Ashma closed her eyes contemplating over how everyone will react to seeing her. She kept clenching and unclenching her fists due to anxiety. She felt as if she might get a panic attack. Hell, she wished for a panic attack so that she can spend a night away from the Park house, she didn't want to face any one of them especially not Bong-Cha. She was too rude to her. Anyone who forgives her after what she did must be out of their mind.

Baek-Hyeon and Yong-Sun left her alone to be in her thoughts, though her anxiety, her concern, her guilt was visible on her face. Yong-Sun kept glancing at her through the rear-view mirror. He was feeling pity for her. After talking to her in the hospital room he knew that she was a kind woman who had no control over her anger. He knew she was intelligent and very much capable of feeling remorse. She was capable of feeling pain when she would see someone else in pain.

She was capable of stirring emotions in others if she wanted to. The angry Baek-Hyeon melted after seeing her crying. He even hugged her to calm her down. He forgave her in an instant after he saw her remorsefully crying. He himself kissed a stranger on the day he met with her without giving a second thought. He never did such a thing. Moreover, she was a damn good kisser.

No one talked in the car. Songs after songs kept playing inside. All were busy in their thoughts. Baek-Hyeon wanted everyone to forgive her. She already had a parent on the hospital bed, he didn't want trouble to pile for her anymore. Slowly, he started loving his elder sister. He wanted to know more about her. He wanted to know more about her relationship with his mother. He made a point to ask everything from his mother. He also made a point to ask Bong-Cha if she knew about the same. If no, then he will give a piece of brand new information, if yes, then why didn't she tell him before. He looked a fool in front of Yong-Sun. Wait! How did Yong-Sun know?

All three were inside their heads fighting with their own thoughts. Suddenly a phone rang. All searched for their phone. It was Baek-Hyeon's phone. He picked it up and started chatting in Korean. Yong-sun kept glancing at him every now and then. Sometimes he would smile, sometimes he would look at him with concern.

Ashma was too busy in her thoughts to bother to listen to what Baek-Hyeon was saying. Moreover, he was speaking in Korean and Ashma understood none of it. Then he said 'uhmma' and somehow Ashma understood that he was talking to Eun-Kyung. 'Uhmma' was too close to 'mumma'. She immediately became tense. Her whole body froze with anxiety and fear. She knew the moment was getting closer that she had to face everyone.

The car approached a large gate, Ashma's heart started thumping loudly. The gate opened and the car entered the premises. Yong-Sun stopped the car and Baek-Hyeon disconnected the call. They both got out of the car but Ashma had no courage to get down. She fidgeted with fingers and struggled to open the car door.

Yong-Sun opened the door for her. She hesitated, exhaled loudly and slowly slid on the seat towards the door.

"Don't be afraid, everything is okay," said Yong-Sun and placed his palm forward to help her get down from the car.

Without taking hid hand, she questioned, "what? How do you know?"

He shook his hand to signal her to take it and replied, "who do you think Baek-Hyeon was talking to?"

"Mumma!" she exclaimed.

"Yes, and she is eagerly waiting for you."
