Ashma and Yong-Sun were staring into each other's eyes. She lowered her gaze as it was difficult to look at him. They had just kissed. And this time both were aware that Ashma kissed him back. Moreover, he just told her that he can kiss her anytime she wants. That made her blush to her core. What they were not aware of was that someone was watching them like a hawk.
The moment Yong-Sun asked Young-Jae about Ashma, he made up his mind to follow him. Yong-Sun ran to the terrace and Young-Jae followed him. His old bone delayed him for a bit but he reached the terrace following Yong-Sun. He looked around there was no one. But he knew both of them came to the roof just moments ago, so where were they?
Suddenly he heard some shouting. He looked up, both Ashma and Yong-Sun were on the roof where the water tanks were installed. They both were shouting at each other. At first, he couldn't understand the reason for their fight, but he knew that Ashma was crying.
"Why this girl always has to cry? What happened now? She was in my room for a second. What did Yong-Sun do to her in a second? He was inside with Young-Mi, which means she knows what happened. Should I ask her? Or should listen to them? Eventually I will find out," thought Young-Jae.
He kept listening to their conversation. He finally understood that Ashma was angry as Yong-Sun kissed Young-Mi. He was happy to hear that. What he wanted was coming to fruition. But then Yong-Sun told her that he didn't kiss her back, he can never kiss her, she forced the kiss. Now he was angry at Young-Mi. No one should kiss anyone without their permission.
He heard what happened in the hospital. They both had kissed already but this time Yong-Sun force kissed her. What was wrong with this generation? Why were they kissing each other without consent? He left Yong-Sun to take care of Ashma and her secrets, not kiss her. He was aware of his crush on Ashma but had no clue that he might act on it. He saw Yong-Sun grabbing Ashma and kissing her. He lowered his gaze and looked in the other direction.
He had no idea what to feel. Should he feel happy as his grandson found his love or should be angry as he found love in his enemy? He knew that he was slightly happy for Yong-Sun. Very rarely does it happen that someone found their love in their crush and it was happening for him. But he was angry at Ashma as he knew that one day she might return back to her country leaving Yong-Sun heartbroken.
His mind flashed back to twenty-eight years. His son also fell for an Indian girl and it destroyed so many lives. Was history being repeated in his family? Or fate was giving him another chance to correct the mistake that he made so many years ago? He had to figure it out soon before Yong-Sun suffers.
Should he accept their relationship or butt in, just like always? He didn't know what to do, what to say. He liked Young-Mi for Yong-Sun, not this arrogant girl who kept winning with him. Maybe that was his issue with her. He was losing to her at every step which was very annoying. He won once but he felt guilty afterwards.
As usual, his meddling mind was working in hyperdrive. He shouted, "Where are you two? Everyone is searching for you."
Yong-Sun and Ashma became aware of their surroundings. They climbed down the stairs. They saw Young-Jae standing in front of them.
"Ashma! Go downstairs. I have to talk to him," said Yong-Sun looking angrily at Young-Jae.
"Okay," said Ashma, surprised. She wanted to hear what was the matter but she respected their privacy and went downstairs.
"What the hell do you want from me, harabuhji?" shouted Yong-Sun.
"Excuse me! Is this how you talk to your elders? Her influence is rubbing on to you," scolded Young-Jae.
"Don't drag her in between. Everything is your fault. You destroyed keunahppa's life. Why do you want to destroy mine?" said Yong-Sun after lowering his voice.
"What do you mean?" asked Young-Jae.
"Didn't you send Young-Mi in your room after me to seduce me?" reprimanded Yong-Sun.
"I beg your pardon!" Young-Jae was surprised.
"She said that you want us to end up together," explained Yong-Sun.
"End up together, yes. Seduce you, are you kidding me?" said Young-Jae.
"What did you tell her?"
"Nothing. I just thought to myself that Young-Mi would be good for you, I never told her this out loud. She is nice, loyal, beautiful, I just thought you guys would make a cute couple," said Young-Jae.
"If you never told her, then how does she know that?" asked Yong-Sun.
"Maybe she figured it out herself. She is an intelligent girl," said Young-Jae.
"Let me tell you, I don't want your help in my love life. You are my friend that does not mean I will tolerate you meddling in it. I can find love on my own, thank you very much," chided Yong-Sun.
"What, that girl? She will break your heart, she will be gone one day. What will you do then?"
"That's my problem, harabuhji. Not yours," shouted Yong-Sun.
"Then it will be my problem, isn't it? Let me deal with it in my own way."
"Fine, I won't say another word," said Young-Jae.
"Thank you and don't think for a second that I forgave you. You try to meddle in my life, I will not tolerate that," rebuked Yong-Sun.
"Understood. This won't happen again. Let's go down," said Young-Jae.
"Hmm."
They came downstairs. Yong-Sun looked at Young-Mi with a clenched jaw, she kept her head lowered with shame. Young-Jae looked at both of them and understood that he made a mistake. He must not have meddled in Yong-Sun's life.
"Pan-ssi, Bang-ssi, you work here is done. You can leave. I will see you both tomorrow in the office."
But Shiahbuhji, dinner…" Eun-Kyung started her sentence. Young-Jae stopped her with the show of his hand. "It's getting late, let them go. They can have dinner someday else."
Everyone understood that Young-Jae didn't want them inside the house and was sending them away. No one meddled in his official matters. Moreover, they still had slight anger for him in their heart. Even though they forgave him they were slightly annoyed by him so were trying to avoid him.
As soon as Pan Jung and Young-Mi left, Yong-Sun looked around, he could not spot Ashma. He looked at Baek-Hyeon who was smiling at him, mischievously. Yong-Sun raised one eyebrow and tilted his head in annoyance.
"Where is she?" he mouthed towards Baek-Hyeon. Baek-Hyeon placed his palm near his phone signalling that she was on her phone. He eagerly waited for her to come out of her room but she didn't arrive.
She came out when Bong-Cha went to call her to dinner. She gobbled her up dinner and excuse herself as she had to attend to phone calls from India. There was a problem with one of the dresses. The tension and stress were visible on her face.
Yong-Sun wanted to talk to her alone. He wanted to ask her about the kiss. He wanted to ask her if she had feelings for him. He wanted to clear every doubt that was in his mind but she was too busy. She ran to her room after finishing her dinner. She didn't even say goodbye to anyone.
Everyone being a business person understood the pressure she was under. They left her alone to work with her colleague on phone. Her mother too slept in a different room as she kept working the whole night.
The morning came and everyone woke up. The first one was to wake up was In-Ho. He went to the kitchen and a note was waiting for him at the breakfast table.
"Sorry everyone,
I am going back to India without telling you. But going to India is urgent for me. Also, I knew that if I tell you you guys will stop me but this is for my work. I am not running away just going away for a few days.
@Bong-Cha – I swear I will be back.
@Mumma – sorry for not telling you but you guys were sleeping.
@Mom – I will be back in a week. One of my dresses was tied up in plagiarism nonsense and spring fashion week is coming. I will deal with them and be back with you. Take care of yourself.
@In-Ho – please make sure everyone gets this note.
Thank you all of you.
Bye
PS: Baek-Hyeon – Look after all the girls."
By the time everyone read the letter, she was on her flight, on the way back to India.
Yong-Sun came early to Park mansion to talk to Ashma but she was already gone. The voice of Young-Jae echoed in his ears, "she will be gone one day.. What will you do then?" he knew he was thinking like a moron but his heart ached after knowing that she didn't say bye to him and left.
