Chapter 16: Chapter 016

After examining her new interface, she tried to disable it, which surprisingly worked.

 When she stopped being distracted by the new thing, Halo suddenly remembered who she was ... in a past life???

 And surprisingly, she has the same parents as another version of her in another world.

 As for her gender identity, it's so easy that it couldn't be easier.  Halo, having lived 6 years in this body and remembering 4.5 years of them, realized that the lives of a girl and a boy are not so different.  Jeans, T-shirt, and sweater, maybe a sports jacket in winter.  For her, it was not a question at all.

 Halo was interested in a different, more mysterious question.  She was interested in what happened to her old world, to her family, sister, and other acquaintances.  She also wondered if it was Halo who got Daniel's memories, or if she was Daniel in a past life.  Whether it was Daniel reincarnated into Halo, or whether Daniel took possession of Halo's body and memories, there are so many options, even more theories, and there are no answers.

 And then Halo remembered her.  The very evil creature that could only see the world, her sister.  A manipulative, delivering, trolling angel.

 Zug probably knows the answer, Halo thought enthusiastically.  After a second she remembered that she hadn't cleaned up after herself in the kitchen.  If she doesn't clean up, she will have at least an hour of brainwashing with her parents' monologue.  And you can't simply disconnect, because parents ask something from time to time and it will be even worse if you don't answer.

 As soon as she understood this, she turned pale and was about to rush to clean up, when she turned even paler...

 I wanted to go to the toilet.  She didn't need to eat that disputed dairy product.  Running to the bathroom as fast as she could, which was incredibly fast, even for her, she opened the door and sat on the toilet.  After some time she did not get up.

 Mom woke up first because she had a very sensitive nose and hearing.  To endure and survive the great stench in the apartment, she had to cover her nose with her hands.  Hearing a strange rustling in the toilet, she decided to check.  Having gone to the toilet, she knocked lightly and asked if everything was fine there.  She thought that it was Zuggera who occupied the toilet again and maybe fell asleep there again.

 To her surprise, Halo answered:

 - Are those feces liquid or not?

 A reply was heard from behind the door:

 - What is feces?  - asked Halo.

 Mom patiently explained:

 - Poop.

 A rustle was heard from the toilet.  It must have been her daughter watching what she pooped.

 -Liquid-like water.

 - Be here now, I will find the right pill and come.

 Halo thought that she definitely couldn't go anywhere.
